I haven't been here much lately.. for the first few months it was because I was on maternity leave, but lately it's been because I'm spending my time on the Atmosphere instead. Especially since they are working on seriously implementing private data, it feels more and more like that protocol fits my needs more than ActivityPub. I appreciate all the work that's been done here, but the easy data hosting and portability, dns usernames, and composable architecture on atproto are killer features.

Android users: do you install apps from alternate app stores?

I last had an android as my main driver in 2013 and used to run a jail broken OS, but have no idea how common installing non play store apps is these days

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a little bit about why I’m building

and what we’re working on.

First, we’re a very small team of two—me as a full-time developer and a part-time designer moving toward full-time.

We strongly oppose the use of addictive, manipulative algorithms & design patterns used by big platforms.  Rather than replicating familiar interfaces, we’re aiming to build a more intentional, mindful way of interacting with social media.

I seem to always get stuck forever at the 'Load Drive' step when opening a form on Firefox in Mac OS X (latest) on the flagship instance. I've had this happen for many different forms I've tried to open. The same form works fine in Safari.
