On Nostr, you don’t ask a company for access to your own account.

You hold the key. That means real ownership, and it also means keeping that key safe and backed up.

Be honest: have you backed up your keys yet? 🔑

Saying thanks should be simple. With zaps, you can tip a creator in one tap, and it arrives in seconds. No middleman, no minimum, no waiting.

Yaki Pro : Create More. Do More.

Yakihonne Update: Introducing YakiPro, Subscriptions, AI Writing Tools, and a Completely Redesigned Experience.

After three months of intensive building, we're excited to unveil the biggest Yakihonne release ever. This update brings together everything we've been working on since June — a ground-up visual redesign, a professional creator suite, native subscriptions, AI-powered writing and reading tools, and self-hosted key management — all shipping across Web and Mobile.

A Brand New Look: Yakihonne v6.0.0

Yakihonne has been completely redesigned from the ground up with a content-first philosophy. Every screen, component, and interaction has been rethought.

• Glass / Fluid UI — a new translucent visual theme rolled out across the entire app
• Redesigned navigation — cleaner app bar, drawer navigation, and streamlined menus
• Refreshed components — new buttons, spinners, dropdowns, selectors, and hover cards
• Lucide icon migration — moving to a modern, consistent icon set across all views
• Guided onboarding tour — new users are now walked through the app on first launch
• Available on both Web and Mobile

Write Smarter: The New Article Editor

The article editor has been rebuilt from scratch to give creators a professional publishing experience. This premium feature is available to all Yakihonne subscribers, and new users can try it entirely free with a 7-day trial!

• Richer editor — more powerful formatting tools, @-mentions, and a completely redesigned publish flow
• AI Writing Assistant — an in-editor AI panel that helps you draft, refine, and improve articles in real time
• AI Change Tracking — review AI-suggested edits before publishing with inline diff views
• PDF & Markdown Import/Export — import existing documents directly into the editor or export your work
• Energy Mapper — visualise the emotional tone of your notes before posting

Read Smarter: Second Reader

A brand new AI-powered reading companion.

• Contextual assistance — get summaries, explanations, and deeper insights while reading any article
• Multiple AI personas — choose a reading companion that matches your style, from casual to academic

Earn, Subscribe, and Support Creators

YakiHonne now has a full subscription and creator economy built in.

• In-App Purchases — subscribe directly through Apple App Store or Google Play
• Yaki Points — earn and spend points to unlock paid content, redeem awarding codes, or put toward a subscription
• Paid Notes with Points — unlock paid notes by redeeming points instead of Lightning invoices
• Free for Subscribers — Pro subscribers skip paywalls entirely
• Subscription & Usage Page — see your current plan, usage, and remaining allowances at a glance
• Full integration with Stripe for global payments

Login with Google: Pomegranate Key Recovery

No more losing your Nostr identity. We've deployed our own Pomegranate FROST remote signer infrastructure.

• Google Sign-In — create or recover a Nostr account using your Google login
• FROST threshold signatures — your private key is sharded across multiple independent operators. No single server can reconstruct it
• Self-hosted infrastructure — auth.yakihonne.com, po.yakihonne.com, and pomadmin.yakihonne.com, all operated by us alongside independent third-party operators
• Key recovery in settings — recover your private key from your linked Google account at any time

YakiPro: The Professional Creator Suite

Introducing YakiPro — a dedicated app for creators and publishers who are serious about building on Nostr.

• Dedicated creator interface with its own unique navigation, layout, and theme
• Advanced analytics — engagement stats, follower growth charts, zap tracking, and top-performing content
• Scheduled notes — write now, publish later
• NIP-63 subscriber management — manage your premium subscribers, relay access, pricing, and delegation
• NIP-05 identity settings — manage your verified Nostr identity
• Language & theme settings — customise your workspace
• Available on both Web (v1.0.0) and Mobile (v0.0.1)

Why This Update Matters

• Professional publishing on Nostr is here. YakiPro + the rebuilt article editor + AI tools give creators everything they need to publish, monetise, and grow — natively on Nostr
• Subscriptions without middlemen. Native NIP-63 subscriptions, in-app purchases, and a points economy mean creators earn directly from their audience
• Key recovery solves onboarding. Google Sign-In via Pomegranate's FROST threshold signatures means new users can join Nostr without ever worrying about seed phrases or raw private keys
• A design that invites exploration. The glass/fluid UI and content-focused redesign make Yakihonne feel like a premium, modern platform

My Client Died. My Identity Didn't. ☕

How developers can build a Nostr app without asking permission.

There's no company to call, no API key to apply for, no terms of service review. The Nostr protocol is a public spec (just read the NIPs). You connect to relays over standard WebSockets. You sign events with open cryptographic standards (secp256k1). Everything is documented and open-source. You pick it up, implement it, and deploy that's it. This is the same reason anyone could build an email client in 1995 without asking Microsoft. Open protocols are inherently permissionless by design.

Breaking: Nostr user unaffected. Again 😂

Imagine your entire online life is a game of Jenga. 😂

Why protocol ecosystems often outlive applications.

Applications are businesses ,they can shut down, pivot, or get acquired. Protocols are shared infrastructure. HTTP, email (SMTP), and RSS all outlived the specific apps built on them. Nostr as a protocol will persist even if every current Nostr app disappears, because the spec is open and anyone can build a new client or relay. The data and identity don't belong to the app. This is the core advantage of building on a protocol rather than inside a platform, the platform can die; the protocol keeps running.

Why email and Nostr have a similar architecture.

Both are open, federated protocols where identity and infrastructure are separated. In email: your address is [email protected], servers (SMTP/IMAP) store and route messages, and any email client can talk to any server. In Nostr: your identity is your public key, relays store and route events, and any Nostr client can talk to any relay. Neither is owned by one company. You can self-host the infrastructure. The key difference is that Nostr replaces domain-based identity with cryptographic keys, which is strictly stronger.

What If No One Had to Make This Decision? ⚡

How Lightning zaps work under the hood.

A zap is a Bitcoin Lightning payment attached to a Nostr event. Here's the flow: you click "zap" on a note → your client looks up the author's Lightning address (from their profile metadata) → it fetches a BOLT11 invoice from the author's Lightning wallet via their LNURL endpoint → you pay that invoice → the wallet then publishes a special zap receipt event (NIP-57) back to Nostr relays, signed by the wallet, proving the payment happened. Clients then display that zap receipt as a visible "zap" on the note. The money moves over Lightning; the proof of payment lives on Nostr.

Why censorship resistance is a technical problem, not a political one. Saying "we won't censor" is a policy and policies can be changed under pressure. True censorship resistance requires that the architecture itself makes censorship difficult or impossible. Nostr achieves this technically: your event is cryptographically signed (can't be forged or secretly altered), broadcast to multiple independent relays (no single point of failure), and your keys are yours alone (no account to deactivate). Even if one relay remove your content, others still have it. The resistance is baked into the design, not just promised.

Web2 User → Web3 User → Nostr Enjoyer 🔥

What NIPs are and why they matter ?

NIP stands for Nostr Implementation Possibility. They are specification documents that define how different parts of the protocol should work , event formats, feature behaviors, metadata standards, etc. NIP-01 is the base protocol. Others define things like DMs, reactions, zaps, and long-form content. They matter because they allow interoperability: if your client and my client both implement NIP-25 (reactions), we can interact , even if we use completely different apps. NIPs are how the ecosystem grows without a central authority dictating features.

Unlocked Support Tier 😂

4. Difference between a Nostr client and a relay
A client is the app you interact with like YakiHonne, It holds your keys, signs events, and displays content. A relay is the backend server that stores and routes events. The client talks to relays; relays don't talk to each other directly. Think of the client as your email app (Outlook, Gmail) and the relay as the mail server , they're separate roles, and you can mix and match any client with any relay

Platform: Your account has been suspended. Bird: For what? Platform: For finding out. 😂

#Freedom #Nostr

3. What relays do (and what they don't do). Relays are simple servers that receive, store, and forward events. They accept signed events from clients, save them, and serve them to other clients that request them via filter queries. What they don't do: they don't verify the content's meaning, they don't control your identity, and they can't forge your signature. A relay can choose to drop or reject events (they have their own policies), but since you broadcast to multiple relays, one relay refusing you doesn't silence you.

🔥 Nostr is Easy to Explain. right ?? 😂 😂

Bitcoin Has No Borders: A Japanese Handmade Creator's Story Made by :

https://yakihonne.com/article/naddr1qvzqqqr4gupzqkyn09vqxm8da92mykujjkpczs969h4vhrge88kerfqmuf29u6v5qyf8wumn8ghj7u3wddhk56tjvyhxjme0qy88wumn8ghj77tpvf6jumt99uqp2jtj2at42a65wen4x4zvv9k9je2c89ty6uchrm65k

Why Nostr uses public/private key cryptography ?

Your identity on Nostr is your key pair. There's no username/password database, no company that owns your account. Your private key signs every event you publish, proving you authored it , without trusting any third party. Anyone can verify your signature using your public key. This means your identity is self-sovereign: no platform can ban "your account" because your account is just a math relationship between two keys that only you control.

A Door the Reaper Can't Find ❤️

What actually happens when you publish a note on Nostr?

When you write a note, your client creates a JSON object containing your message, a timestamp, your public key, and an event kind number. Your private key then signs this object cryptographically, producing a unique signature. That signed event is sent over WebSocket connections to one or more relays. The relays store it, and anyone subscribed to those relays (or querying them later) can retrieve and verify your note. There's no central server involved, just your signed data floating across relays.

Building the Sovereign Internet ❤️

The Creator Economy Is Broken. Here's the Fix

#CreatorEconomy #YakiHonne #Bitcoin

We watched a creator lose his followers overnight.

No warning. No appeal. One report. Gone.

He had built his business on that platform. His income, his community, his identity, all of it was rented from a company that could revoke it at any time.

That's when we started building YakiHonne.

YakiHonne is a social platform built on Nostr. a decentralized protocol where no single company controls your account. Combined with Bitcoin payments, it means creators can publish freely AND get paid directly by their audience.

We're not here to replace every platform. We're here to give creators infrastructure they actually own.

If you're a creator, marketer, or just someone who believes in digital ownership, follow us. We're building in public.
