While nostr shows great promise it isn't quite ready for prime time for activists. Bitcoin risk can be quantified (amount held in account) but with digital identity and communication networks the social/reputation risk feel uncapped in a way.

I don't understand the knots resurgence -- it's effectively a core fork that's been fucked with a bit by a much smaller less capable team.

If folks really want a true alternative implementation it's time to show support for libbitcoin.
