Got the meat haul in tonight. 10 pounds of Cajun Jerky, 12 pounds of ground venison, 4-2.5 pound leg loin steaks, and 2-3pound back straps (tenderloins). Good mix of pickings to start the season. I'll end up giving away some jerky to close friends & family of course but the rest we'll eat at our house.

What's truly depressing is the open mockery of Jesus and one of those panel speakers proclaims to be a Christian himself. Although he does not make the comment, he is harboring friends that do things like that. In addition he chuckles at the comment due to having a buzz and not wanting to kill the "vibe" in the room.
This says so much about how far things have fallen off in our culture. I'm not perfect in any regard myself, but we can do way better than this.
What you accept in your presence is your standard.

Anyone want this 4.6TH/s SHA256 miner? I’m done with it. I’ll take XBT for it.

This is how you take initiative against miner centralization instead of just hoping they won't all collude and wipe you out.

Ignoring XBT will be one of your biggest mistakes.

GM Nostr, eventful morning. First day out and tagged this doe. My first kill with a compound bow.
God is good and provides. Thankful for this harvest.

GM Nostr. Today is my best friends' birthday. Maverick is 9 years old now so no better way to celebrate than an early morning walk. Maximizing our time together as he ages, we've been on a lot of amazing adventures together and will have many more.

20 miles and 2,000ft elevation gain to go meet my love and babies for breakfast. Enjoying a coffee while I wait for them.
Could I ride back home? Sure. Should I ride back home? Yes. Will I ride back home? No. 😂

My best grouping tonight at 20 yards. Trying to do several sets a night for the next four weeks until the season starts and I can't wait!
Need to get some trimming done around my stand and clear some paths. Then throw out some corn and hope for some luck.

And we're done! Probably $1,000 worth of materials and labor was just some sweat off the brow. Took about 3 working days total.
Looks good enough for my skill level and our needs. If I had infinite time I could do better I think.
Thanks for following the project, let me know what you're working on!

Alright, gotta call it for the weekend cause my back is toast. Everything on the right side of the stairs is "set" in leveling sand and ready for "locking" sand that goes in between the pavers like grout.
Overall looks decent. We hauled tons of gravel, sand and stone for this little mini landing/patio. Grateful we didn't go larger 😅. For reference it is about 8'x12' square with a 16" rise at the highest corner.
My poor Tacoma (almost 200k miles & 16 years old) has been stressing with the trips back and forth for materials, pushing beyond the payload each time... Would love to have an F250, and see many folks with them at the store but then I remember, they have no corn. They also would likely skip this kind of work and finance it for convenience. Keep going!

Patio update. I hate to say but after measuring again I had to disassemble the wall and rebuild. I was about 1.5” low from where I needed it so I packed more gravel base underneath to raise it.
Good side of that was I was able to focus more on getting everything as square and level as possible. You think, ah a degree off here or there, oh well. Then you get another layer up and start placing pavers that no longer interlock. It’s got to be perfect or darn close.
Back filled with gravel and cemented the wall in place with adhesive. Added a drain in the low point that goes under another wall below our deck just incase we have water rolling back towards the house. It will hit the drain and drain tile which I’ll line with gravel and be carried away from the foundation.
Storms are coming so my wife is heading to grab more materials while I clean up and start again tomorrow.

Small project started this weekend. Needed a landing for the deck to avoid the mud so I'm adding an 8' x 12' patio at the stairs. My property slopes in multiple directions so I needed to add a mini retaining wall for the edge on one side.
This took me all day to get the ground cut, tamped, and base (with somehelpf from my boys, wife and dog of course).
I've built a 6' x 20' retaining wall elsewhere on my property before but this is my first attempt at a patio. Really trying hard to keep everything level so it looks decent in the end. Well see!
