GM. Rough day yesterday, followed by a mostly sleepless night. Determined to come out of the situation stronger, mostly just really annoyed with myself for letting my guard down. 6 months ago this wouldn't have happened, I had things set up and airgapped, and probably wouldn't have fallen for it in the first place. This year I've taken my eye off the ball regarding many things Bitcoin, and fallen to some levels of fatalism and desparation as I see eveything fall apart. Guess I'll treat this as a wake up call that could have been worse. Onwards and upwards....

FML, just fell victim to a fake tech interview. Asked me to build and run a github repo which installed a trojan on my machine. Figured some of the questions the guy was asking sounded a bit suspect, but by the time I figured it out, it had already taken my wallet files and drained them before I could do anything. Back on the omarchybandwagon! I tried it for a while 6 months ago, and found a fair few rough edges which stopped me using it as my daily driver and went back to nobara. Gave it another go, and it feels a lot more polished, even picks up the WiFi adapter and webcam of this old macbook, which took hours of tweaking to get to work in nobara and broke when it got a kernel update. Not ready to use it on my main machine just yet, need to decide if I like the tiling window manager or not. It feels like it should be good for a small laptop on the go, but does take a bit of getting used to

Building something... Probably nothing 👀

This is maybe my third attempt at building this, and I'm gradually getting towards something that doesn't suck and have a bunch of 3rd party dependencies outside of Nostr. I'm kinda convinced there's a need for this, which is why I've stuck with it so long. • Profile Picture as Settings Icon: The settings cog icon in the feed top bar is replaced with your profile picture when one is set.

• Profile Picture Upload: Added an upload button next to the Profile Picture URL field in Edit Profile. Tap the avatar preview or the upload button to pick an image from your gallery and upload it to a Blossom server. Supports both Amber and local key signing flows.

• Camera Posts: Take photos directly from the camera and post them without leaving the app.

• Zap Totals: Zap amounts are now displayed alongside posts in the feed.

Bug Fixes

• Profile Loading Reliability: Fixed an issue where the Edit Profile fields would sometimes appear empty, particularly when the trending feed was active. The profile editor now uses cached metadata for instant display and properly terminates its relay subscription.

• Profile Picture on Startup: Fixed the user's profile picture not appearing in the top bar on app launch by fetching the current user's metadata (Kind 0) at startup.
