Mialuna is an open-source, decentralized visual social network powered by Nostr: an Italian heart, a photographer’s eye, and no centralized platform between you and your community.

Golden-hour portraits, moonlit streets, everyday little wonders—every post begins with a photo or a video. Create carousels, fine-tune your shots with the built-in editor, share Reels and 24-hour Stories, discover new voices, and connect through comments, reactions, Lightning zaps and encrypted private messages. Metadata is removed before uploads, because your memories belong to you.

Starting today, a 2€ tax for small online purchases is due to the EU if you buy online from extra-EU countries, per HS code (tariff customs code, aka kind of good).

This goes on top of the previous 3€ tax for small transactions.

And all of these go on top of the normal customs duties + VAT.

This means that if you spend 50€ in 10 different articles (Temu, Shein, AliExpress come to mind), you'll have to pay 50€+ in taxes. This translates to a 100+% of tariffs.

If you buy a 100€ tool from a small business owner that is unfortunately outside the EU (e.g. Switzerland or the UK), you'll have to pay 5€ in tax because it's an online small transaction + its customs duty and VAT, taxes easily approaching the 40% of the amount spent in value.

A couple of weeks ago I caved and installed Omarchy on my old laptop (Jumper EZBook pro 3, a 2016 chinese 13''), the one that I basically use for distrohopping. Kind liked it but never used it as it felt to clunky. Then one day I decided that I wanted to explore outside the mouse-centered OS/DE like Cosmic, GNOME etc and started tinkering with it. Loved it, really loved.

Now I bit the bullet and installed on my main laptop, fucking hell how cool this distro is. It won't be the one convincing "normies" to abandon Windows/MacOS, but sure as hell it's a breath of fresh air for those wanting to tinker with something new.

Well they heard the community's voice on the matter. Now it's time to open those android sources as well!

PSA: OutKast isn't offline because your clients downloads and uploads your notes directly for relays.

built 3 themes and engine for gnome50+ in a couple of prompts. and to think that I used to search for hours in gnome-look just to find a good enough icon pack.

A dude I know got assaulted downtown in my city, from behind, by a sandnigger with a rope, trying to choke him into submission to steal his valuables. It happened at 3 am, so nobody was around to help.

Luckly the dude managed to free himself and gave me such an unholy beating that left him for dead on the ground.

The sandnigger didn't die, but hopefully he'll think twice before messing with another Son of Rome again.

📸 Got tired to open my gallery app to crop a picture or a screenshot before posting it, so now photos open in an editor before they're attached: crop, rotate, straighten, light & color sliders, filters, auto-enhance, the full Instagram treatment. Change nothing and the photo goes up untouched. Edited copies leave with no location or camera data.

🧭 Tired of your own feed that show basically the same 7 bots posting dank memes e only a handful of npubs posting GMs and GNs? Now there's an Explore button in Orbit, and Discover opens a list of sections: Network (notes by people you don't follow that your friends liked or reposted, most interacted-with first, computed on your phone from relays, no ranking server, fuck you Primal -but with love-), feed gallery, follow packs, zaps.

🛠 Create your own algorithm: pick people from your contacts, search anyone (a pasted npub works too) or import one of your lists. It's published as a NIP-51 follow set, so other clients see it as a list too.

FIXED:

🔇 Mute finally sticks and also hides people from Notifications and Messages. ➖ Unfollow really removes the person from your home feed. 🧡 Your custom reaction stays on the note instead of turning into the red heart. 🏷 Tagged people show their name, not an npub. 🌍 Every string is now translated, in all 25 languages.

Free and open source, without google dependencies, without Primal caching server, just a raw Nostr experience.
