The ColdCard fail turned so many prior high-conviction axioms and beliefs on their heads.

Not the least of which was the FUD around private mempools. Of course there are trade offs (as with literally every fucking thing if you have two braincells to clank together), but MARA's private mempool saved many people from being exploited by the ColdCard entropy flaw--myself included. Although I was certain I used dice rolls in the seed generation I used for my multisig, I did not want to leave it to chance.
