The BIP110/Blake chain finally has a use case: media publishing!

Using BcashJr Wallet, which also lets you easily split your BTC and Blake UTXOs, you can now publish images using the BPUB protocol.

BPUB doesn’t use Ordinals inscription envelopes. It embeds file data into public keys within multisig scripts, then reveals those scripts in transaction witnesses. That lets it publish images despite BIP110’s censorship.

Pick an image (resize and optimize it first), select the BLAKE coins to fund it, review the fees, and publish. Unused funds return to your wallet as change.

I am happy to announce BcashJr Wallet! A Bitcoin and Knots/Blake-chain coin splitter.

https://github.com/smolcars/bcashjr-wallet/releases

BcashJr Wallet is a self-custodial wallet for Windows, macOS and Linux that lets you split your Bitcoin and Blake-chain coins using Blake-chain’s replay protection, SIGHASH_UNIFIED.

You can send the Blake coins to yourself or directly to an exchange that supports them. The Blake-side transaction is invalid on Bitcoin, so your BTC coins stay in place.

Once the split confirms, you can send your Bitcoin back to your normal wallet.

The wallet code has been security reviewed by ChatGPT 5.6 Sol and Kimi 3.

Usage guide:

1. Create a fresh wallet, write down the recovery phrase offline, and send a small amount of BTC to its receive address.
2. Sync and check that the deposit also appears on Blake-chain. It may be replayed automatically. If it isn’t, the built-in replay panel can attempt to replay the funding transaction. This only works if the transaction is valid on Blake-chain.
3. Once the deposit has the required confirmations, select the shared coins in the BLAKE panel and send them to yourself or to an exchange’s Blake-chain deposit address. This is the split.
4. Wait until the wallet shows the split as confirmed, then send your BTC from the Bitcoin panel back to your normal wallet.

Notes and recommendations:

• Send in small amounts! This is a desktop hot wallet and therefore carries risk. Send small amounts, split the coins, and then send back the BTC to your normal wallet, then repeat.
• Use a fresh recovery phrase. Importing the seed from your normal Bitcoin wallet is not recommended.
• Remember your password. This is used to encrypt the wallet on disk.
• Use coin control when funding the wallet. Check that every selected input also exists and is unspent on Blake-chain.
• Check Blake-chain transactions on https://mempool.guide.
• Syncing is manual. Don't spam the sync button as you can get rate-limited by mempool.space (Bitcoin backend) and mempool.guide (Blake backend).
• Sell your Blake-coins on https://neoxa.exchange, which has BTC, USDC, and USDT pairings.
• Every selected UTXO is spent in full. Everything goes to one destination, minus fees, with no change output.

Have fun stacking more BTC!

Special thanks to

and

for helping test the wallet.

Today, I'm happy to announce Noah. ⛵

It's a Bitcoin wallet that

and I have been working on, using the Bitcoin Ark protocol via

.

Noah and the Ark protocol allow easy onboarding, Lightning Address support, easy backups, fast payments, and much more, while staying trust-minimized.

With Noah, you can easily pay and receive via Lightning without dealing with channel management and inbound/outbound liquidity constraints.

Onboarding is as easy as receiving a Lightning payment. When you onboard, you get an Ark VTXO (akin to a UTXO but offchain) instead of a channel. You can also onboard via onchain and internal Ark payments.

Each Noah user gets a Lightning Address that they can use to receive, even offline for Noah->Noah payments.

You can restore the wallet securely with just your seed phrase.

Noah is available now on mainnet! Please give it a shot and let us know what you think. ⚡️

I made a Telegram bot that auto-replies to new or infrequent users.

Scammers impersonating devs and DMing users are very common in wallet chat groups. My hope is that this will prevent people from getting scammed.

The bot written in Deno and you can easily deploy it on Deno Deploy (or self-host on your own server).

https://github.com/hsjoberg/telegram-autoreplier-bot

Code is released under public domain. The bot is currently live in our Blixt Wallet chat group.

Example scenario on how the bot works:

User: I need help please
Bot: Hi there user. Beware of scammers
<Nasty scammer impersonating a dev DMs the user>
User: Oh nice, thanks for the heads-up, kind bot.

We’ve seen that a welcome message isn't sufficient protection as people just don't read these. Even you make it crystal clear about scammers.

My rationale here for the bot is that they will notice if the bot replies directly to the user's message so they get pinged about it.

Cheers guys.

Okay I’m dumb! I changed my Lightning Address on my nostr profile some month ago, but that one is no longer working.

Okay should be fixed now, it’s back to ⚡️ [email protected]

Is red meat, white rice and broccoli a good diet for bodybuilding?

This Lightning Address is special.

When you pay to it, my Lightning Box solution will forward the request to the phone, where Blixt Wallet respond with an invoice.

This is the first time a self-custodial LN wallet supports Lightning Address.

This is part of my on-going work to support receiving via Lightning Address for mobile self-custodial wallets.

https://github.com/hsjoberg/lightning-box

Android supports foreground services, meaning that Blixt Wallet can stay online all the time to answer incoming requests (no effect on battery).

Though the normal mode of operation for Lightning Box is that it'll take the payment on behalf of the user and then next time the user opens wallet, it will auto-withdraw from the Box, thanks to LNURL-withdraw.

But if the wallet is online already, it can just forward the request.

Damus.io is so great nowadays. The amount of progress in recent weeks is amazing. 👀

Nostr is going go revolutionize simping with LN integration
