Ah damn, finally gonna get some CASHU over hamradio using nostr...

https://github.com/LibertyFarmer/hamstr/tree/cashu

I kinda broke my normal rule of developing in public, but I didnt want to get anyone testing something that is completely broken still. With any luck ill get a working version of hamstr with offline cashu integration by this weekend. If i run into more roadblocks, as has been the case for 2 months, it shouldn't be more than a week. i hope...

Simple premise. When online, connect to a mint, verify, get change, send, receive sats. When offline, use hamstr to do its thing over HF radio, Reticulum, VHF Radio to get notes, send notes, reply, and even send nutzaps to nostr users. For now, just send, soon receive. When back online, connect to mint of choice or default mint, and verify wallet proofs and balances.

Seems simple, lol

Lol, watching bip110 fork that fast and have no support was hilarious. The add to it a block with 'spam' mined by ocean is even funnier.

What a waste of time, hopefully they take the locks and rejoin, but some are far too gone I fear.

I took the past few days to visit X for the first time in years.

What a mistake. It is an absolute shit show, the bitcoin hate is hilarious. The saylor hate is huge, fascinating stuff.

I don't care about MSTSr, but the amount of uneducated bafoons is outstanding.

And not one zap....fuck that place.

Holy crap it happened.

58k club still be waiting....

I suppose this is kind of a big deal in a private non-public ledger block chain. Wow

I deeply apologize to hodlers for selling this week. My bad. Apparently I can really move markets still. 😂

Not that I was expecting much, but holy hell has Trump 2 been a bust and disaster.

For every good thing he gives 10 bad. A real waste and shame.

Fuck the noise. Keep stacking, keep building freedom tools. Just getting caught up on RHR, Thanks for the hamstr shout out, cashu over radio support soon!

Spent the better part of a week off NOSTR, what did I miss?

Big update for HAMSTR — Reticulum mesh networking is now live on the master branch.

What this means is now NOSTR notes & Lightning zaps(cashu coming soon) can now travel over LoRa radio using the Reticulum Network Stack.

No internet. No cell towers. No relays you don't control. Just encrypted mesh packets hopping between nodes to reach a HAMSTR server. Full briding is possibly as well over many reticulum nodes and endpoints.

Why Reticulum over LoRa changes things:

Traditional packet radio (AX.25) requires licensed ham operators on both ends and is limited by line-of-sight at VHF/UHF. VARA HF reaches further but needs expensive interfaces and Windows.

LoRa operates on unlicensed ISM bands (915MHz in the US). Anyone can run a node. RNode hardware is cheap — under $30 for a LilyGO or RAK device. Reticulum handles routing, encryption, and authentication automatically. No callsigns required. No license required to participate.

A HAMSTR server running Reticulum becomes a mesh-connected NOSTR gateway. Clients within LoRa range — potentially miles — can post notes, fetch feeds, and send Lightning zaps with zero internet infrastructure.

This is the censorship-resistant communication stack we've been building toward. Off-grid, encrypted, decentralized, and now within reach.

Running VARA HF and AX.25 Packet Radio backends continue to work alongside it and is preferred for existing radio usage and superior range.

For now it is best if you already have used reticulum and have some rnodes setup. if not, i have some insutructions here : https://github.com/LibertyFarmer/hamstr/blob/master/RETICULUM.MD

And there are lots of web tutorials and youtube videos on flashing and hardware setup.

As always, HAMSTR is open source, and proudly

funded.

Credit card/airline miles and and points are the most fiat thing ever invented.

Absolutely insane that these even exist, and are the only way most airlines stay solvent at all.

Bear the fuck down. Final Four baby.

Been a good run....guess we are dead.
