is to have a ~/sandbox directory in your home directory, and just dump all throwaway WIP things in it. And never remove anything from it!

Sometimes I come back to all sorts of little experiments and they turn out to be really helpful! It's easier to remember how an idea works when you look at the experiment you actually did

One thing I've taken away from some of these things is that a lot of communities say "well we can't ban genAI contributions, because you never really know", and maybe you won't for some, though you might for a lot, but for sure some will slip through

But also what we are seeing is that vibecoders / slop artists will absolutely take their ball and leave in a huff if you say it isn't welcome here
