The thing that's interesting with the most protocol is that logic to create a new nostr profile (sign, broadcast, and the likes) is the same logic you need to publish normal notes.

On the other hand the logic you would need to allow a user to "sign in" via a nsec (sync profile events related to the pubkey) is similar enough to the logic you'll need to sync events.
