Last night's lunar eclipse. Bad photo. Couldn't hold it steady.

I'm in #ditto to explore.

This mocking bird came by this week to remind me that, to them, I am nothing more than a human tragedy wrapped in a corporate spreadsheet, archived with zero relays to send an S.O.S.

My experience with USAA was horrible. They treat the family of the deceased as if they are just another transaction to be processed, a cold account number to be closed, and not a grieving family in need of compassion and support.

... an inconvenient liability, a set of paperwork that refuses to align, and a nuisance to be managed rather than a legacy to be respected.

... an administrative error ... a cold set of checkboxes to be ticked and a file to be archived, as if the grief of a lifetime can be resolved with a processed claim and a closed account.

... ghosts in the system ... invisible, irrelevant, and an inconvenience to the bottom line, reducing a human tragedy to a series of bureaucratic hurdles and a cold, processed exit.

... like a canceled policy—nothing more than an open file waiting to be closed, devoid of humanity or respect.

Sorry to be so negative, but its been hell since March with these people. Glad to be finally rid of them.

You guys and gals are incredible and illustrate to the world what it means never to give up. Everything you all do, be it homemade Jerky, honey, soap, offer your $ 0.02 or a meme, its done with love and gives the world hope for a better tomorrow.

Thank you.

Keep it real Nostr. 🤙

⚖️ Balance everything ⚖️

The time spent with loved ones won’t matter if you leave them financially reckless.

The financial stability you leave them won’t matter if they never really knew you.

The ideological, philosophical, and spiritual characteristics of your life won’t continue if you don’t pour yourself into your loved ones.

Your job(s) won’t matter since your job listing will be posted, or close to it, before your burial.

The possessions you worked your ass off for won’t matter as they become valued at ACV to some adjuster of the system.

But the money you store matters — because it is the preserved energy of your life’s work.

If that energy can be silently diluted, seized, or inflated away, then the hours of your life it represented were never truly yours.

That’s why sound money matters.

Not for greed. Not for speculation. But because Bitcoin is time stored without permission.

And when you balance it right ...

Love your people. Live your principles.

Store your work in something honest.

Then what you leave behind is not just wealth…

…it’s sovereignty. ⚡

Make sure yo pass that on to your loved ones.

Bitcoin is a carrot. Fiat is cereal. The shower is reality.

Carrots are waterproof snacks you can eat in the shower without ruining it. 🥕

Bitcoin is a shower - safe form of money. It doesn’t melt under pressure, doesn’t depend on permission, and doesn’t fall apart when the system gets wet.

Fiat is a bowl of cereal in the shower. Ok in the right environment - but add a little chaos, inflation, or bad plumbing, and it’s ruined.

Be kind to others. Stack SATS.

Jupiter

Always take moments to appreciate nature's blessings.

I am hoping the sky tonight will be clear so I can test Dad's camera.

And this one is Jupiter.

Wish I had a better camera. I 'think' this is M78.

I really had a rough day yesterday, but it brought out the best of me. On the way home, I almost piled into a white Toyota that was stopped on the on ramp. I saw that the driver was on foot and walking back to the driver's door after shutting his hood. I waited for him as I blocked off traffic. Horns of impatient drivers were within proximity while I was telling my mom what was happening. As he pulled off, his hood popped up again and impaired his vision while he stopped again, only pulling about 10 feet from where he was. I immediately pulled closer to him and on the side, so I could let traffic through. After telling mom to hold on, I jumped out and approached the driver. He told me that his hood kept opening and it wasn't like that when he left. I assessed the situation and, as I observed, I told him that the left bolt was not in the metal frame, the frame on the left was not entirely there, and the right bolt was loose. I then scurried back to my vehicle and dug through my belongings on the passenger side. All I could think about was being decapitated if another vehicle piled into mine. I took my D Shape Aluminum Carabiner Key Hook, undid my keys and ran to his car. Epic failure. There was nothing sturdy enough to hold down his hood. At this point I new I had to search my trunk. Lucky for me, a co-worker saw me and she stopped behind me. I asked her to stay put and block traffic so I could dig in my trunk. In seconds, I found an iPhone cable, shut my trunk, and quickly tied it to his hood latch, and then around the frame of his car. He was going immediately to AutoZone. This whole time, cars were zooming by as it was slightly after 5pm.

If a moment gives you a chance to help someone, even in a small, messy, imperfect way, take it. These moments ripple further than we think. Be kind. Look out for each other. Pay it forward.

Much different perspective today ...

Time has not been on my side lately. I have had absolutely zero patience with this. I took a sabbatical and really thought I could come back to this project. The more I tinker, the more frustrated I get. I almost scrapped the whole thing, then got it working, but not how I envisioned. Vibe coding is like communicating with a twatwaffle. I guess I had to start somewhere....

Found this tune in my memory chest of the 90's. Anyone else remember this?

If Mississippi can eliminate their income taxes, there is absolutely no reason Louisiana, and all other States for that matter, cannot do the same.

Remember, bugs are not a great source of protein.

I asked the wife if she'd help me eat this block of cheese. She told me not to eat the whole thing and save it for our son. Woman, you don't open a block of cheese and only cut "some". You eat the whole thing. I ate the whole thing and enjoyed every slice of white cheddar. 😋

I took time out today to watch a movie and got sucked into another one. I typically don't watch tv and on very rare occasion.

15 Cameras was actually good. It was about a slum lord with hidden cameras and murders. Good horror production.

@urFRENZ, however, felt odd as it was slow and about mid way through, the movie came together. Kinda weird with a slight twist at the end.

I feel like I lost time dilly dallying around, robbing myself from time and energy. What a waste! 😒

Note to self .... TV is (still) the devil! 😈
