Which wallets can tell a tip page they've been paid?
Right now Coinos, Alby, Speed, Blink and Stacker News can. Wallet of Satoshi, Strike and ZBD can't: a tip still arrives, but only the two wallets know.
Paste your own address and it'll check yours:

On here, zaps already do the job. This is for the people who find you everywhere else.
The YouTube viewer, the podcast listener, the newsletter reader, the person standing at your stall. They won't have a Nostr app open, but some of them have a Lightning wallet, and the rest can get one in a couple of minutes.
Give them one link, or a QR on the table, and they get this: tap an amount, add a name if they like, and pay from any wallet.
It's free, there's no account, and it never touches your sats.

The downside of putting a bare Lightning address in your bio.
Most people who'd tip you aren't on Nostr. To them, [email protected] looks like an email address.
The ones who do know what it is paste it in and get an empty amount box. Some freeze on how much and close it. And unless their wallet lets them add a note, you see sats arrive with no idea who sent them.
Bitcoin Tip Jar asks your wallet for the invoice, so people tip you directly, no middleman, but with the benefits of amounts to pick from, an optional name, and payment confirmations.

Not all Lightning wallets are equal. If you're going to take tips, two things are worth checking first.
LUD-21: your wallet knows when it's been paid, but can it pass that information back? If it can, everyone who tips you can potentially get a live notification of it. If it can't, the sats still arrive, but only the two wallets know.
LUD-12: can a payment carry a note? That's how a tipper's name can get to you. Most wallets allow one, but the limit runs anywhere from 150 to 1,000 characters.
I run Bitcoin Tip Jar, so I test every wallet I can for both. The results are here, and you can check your own address:
