I have been working on a website / browser extension for CDR (content disarm and reconstruction) so users can quickly scan any suspicious files they receive and get rid of embedded macros, scripts, metadata, etc...
Also working on another (beta) feature to scan webpages and score them for security/privacy/legitimacy
Website: https://cleanthis.io/
Chrome/Firefox Extension: https://github.com/therealziggy/cleanthis-extension-chrome
Still work in progress, feedback/criticism is appreciated.
<currently graphics/design is still vibe-coded place holder>

Homomorphic encryption's resistance surface is the set of cryptographic assumptions underlying the specific scheme in use. The assumption set is the same one underlying the post-quantum standards: learning-with-errors for lattice schemes, the hardness of decoding random linear codes for code-based schemes. A break in a specific scheme would affect the applications using that scheme; it would not break the family, because alternative schemes under different assumptions exist.Multi-party computation's resistance surface is the threshold model. The guarantee holds if and only if fewer than the threshold number of participants collude. A threshold must be chosen large enough that collusion is infeasible, and the participants must be chosen to have diverse incentives. The construction binds together through the social structure of the participant set as much as through the cryptographic math.

So theoretically, for 'online age verification' issues currently going on, governments can create apps that allow a user to retrieve their data from government database anonymously (zk-proofs for authentication and PIR for anonymous data requests) and then be able to authenticate that they are over the legal age in any required website through another zk-proof operation (so website doesn't know how old u actually are or who are you, yet can mathematically confirm that you are over a certain age)? so it's technically possible but regulators just lack the intention? I imagine they would still be able to associate some db requests with login times etc via metadata but that's solvable as well

This is why i wish projects like Pirate-Chain (Zcash hardfork) had more recognition. The protocol enforces shielded zk-snarks transaction by default, which eliminates the core weakness of zcash.

Quick Q about GrapheneOS USB backups:
Does it back up only the active profile, or all profiles at once?
If it's per-profile: can one USB drive hold multiple profile backups, and can they all be restored to a new phone from that same drive?

How do you see AI-based military systems (such as the ones created by Palantir) fitting in the decentralization of command concept? specially since it's arguably more centralized, yet faster, more accurate, and introduces less friction (according to their marketing at least)

Is there a way on Amethyst to filter new posts by GeoHash (not necessarily based on users current location)?

Not guaranteeing the consistency of the number of backers throughout the projects can be a bit tricky for the creator tho, specially of the backing price depends on bulk numbers which were agreed upon with other parties (manufacturers, distributers,...etc.) - is there a mechanism to mitigate this risk on the creator in that case? such as announcing a second round of funding, or backers locking in some extra sats which the creator can request in case the number of backers drops below a certain threshold

What happened to #amethyst in the last few updates? I'm not able to see any notes orrl replys on my own profile unless it was posted after the update. All other nostr clients are functioning normally meanwhile

Is there any project out there or an attempt on having a decentralized pseudonymous system for unique identification, where a person can only create one and only one digital ID?
Could be really useful to solve online bots issues, voting manipulation, ai generatd trash, etc.
On the other hand it would extremely challenging to resolve the risk of someone being linked to their unique ID and losing their privacy forever
Most likely will have to be dependant on some biometric technology that is widely available on common mobile phones, some sort of distributed ledger, and clever incentive mechanisms
...or maybe it's impossible to pull off without sacrificing centralization/privacy
