Npub.pro

We have a new landing page, new onboarding flow and new dashboard!

Check out on https://npub.pro

We hope these changes make it easier to get started and help you manage your sites better.

Please let us know if you have any feedback!

Analytics for your nostr sites!

If you're serious about your site, you might want to know if anyone's using it. We've added a nostr-based analytics to your sites: enable it in settings, and your site will send encrypted nostr events with visitor activity stats to your npub. No third-parties can view it - your nostr keys are required to decrypt it.

You can also help us improve the product by enabling "Analytics for developers" - this will send the stats to our npub too.

The stats dashboard is very basic at the moment, we'll improve it further down the road.

Please let us know what you think!

New onboarding for nostr sites!

Olas posts now supported by npub.pro!

If you haven't heard of Olas, it's the recent instagram-style nostr app for posting pictures: https://olas.app/

It's pretty slick, and if you're enjoying it, you might as well display your cool photos on your site now!

To enable, go to site Settings, Content filters section, add "OLAS Posts" in Kinds field. This should import your photos to the site.

Your site is getting more powerful by the day!

Big update on Npub.pro!

We've added manual content management for you. Basically, not only can you import content onto your site with hashtags, you can also manually select which posts to publish.

Let me use https://whynostr.org as an example. It's a new site where auto-import by hashtags is completely turned off, and I manually add new posts to it.

On the site Dashboard we have "Posts" button now:

The first thing you'll see there is all posts already published on the site:

You can filter through published stuff:

And you can tab "Add post" to find and publish another piece. The first thing you'll see there are "Post ideas" - posts by same authors and similar hashtags like ones you already have.

Post ideas are very rough now, so you'll probably want to tap "Search posts" to find something good on Nostr:

I'm looking for the most recent Article by

, I find it by name and can tab "Add" to publish it on the site:

That's roughly how it works. You can go to Settings to completely turn off auto-submission by hashtags, or you can simply augment auto-submitted posts with occasional manual submissions.

This has been long in the making and lays the foundation for huge number of new features. Each manual submission is a separate nostr event, which means we can now create various automations and bots to find and submit content to your site - something not possible with hashtag-focused approach.

More updates are coming soon. Meanwhile, please try this and let us know what must be improved!

Manual post management coming soon!

We've redesigned the admin section of Npub.pro!

The original UI didn't look great and it wasn't easy to find the settings you needed. This new version looks much better, and there's now a search bar on the settings screen that works pretty well.

We're cooking some nice new features now. Meanwhile, please check out the refreshed design and let us know if something's still not great! Link: https://npub.pro/admin

Thank you!

Direct Messages support added to your nostr sites!

There's now a "Send Message" action available under each post. You can make it a default "call to action" in site settings.

Updates will propagate to your sites throughout the day.

Coming soon to your nostr sites!

Wow nice eshop on nostr!

Pinned/featured posts on nostr sites.

Some themes support "Featured" posts (pinned to top). We have added a UI to manage pinned posts in site settings.

Let us know if it works well for you.

Attach custom domains to your nostr-sites!

We're releasing the custom domains feature for public testing. Go to site settings and check the Custom domain section.

Please send your feedback so we could improve the process. Eventually this will be a paid feature, but everyone who uses it now will keep it for free.

And a reminder that you can also self-host: https://blog.npub.pro/post/how-to-self-host-on-github

Geo tags shown on nostr-sites!

Check it out on

site: https://www.traveltelly.com/post/note1dypukh2s0jd5r8gcs6gqtxkar2h544yp5eju0ecmagytfukawgzsts24lk/

Maps are based on OpenStreetMap to avoid big tech stuff.

How can we improve this? Show other posts on th map?

I know Amethyst and Wherostr support adding geo tags to your posts. Any other apps?

Custom domain rocks!

Reactions and zaps are now displayed on nostr-sites!

Besides, visitors can now Like, Bookmark, Highlight, Share, Follow etc using the actions menu near the main call-to-action:

Later on, you'll be able to choose your main call-to-action and enable/disable other actions according to your preferences.

Check https://reiartur.npub.pro or https://www.amethyst.social to try it out!

Testers needed!

New themes for your nostr-sites!

We've fixed several internal issues and were able to add five new themes that depended upon that. "Source" theme is particularly powerful with lots of settings and layouts.

There are 27 themes in total now for you to showcase your content!

Let us know if you find any issues!

P.S. As always, our favorite cat

is helping us with demos.

All nostr-sites have an improved login UX now!

A new tool for you!

Curate nostr content and publish as a website!

Not many people know that you can choose anyone as an author for a nostr site (not just yourself).

Well now you can add any number of people as contributors to a site. Here is a website with 12 authors publishing under #cookstr and #foodstr hashtags.

Check out Cookstr site: https://cookstr.npub.pro

If you are passionate about #grownostr then make a website for your niche and share with normies. Or build a site for your small community. Or build a news magazine together with friends.

Nostr sites can be much more than personal homepages! Let us know what you think.

Homepage settings on nostr-sites!

You can choose which kinds and hashtags to show on the homepage of you site.

We have also added two predefined feeds: /notes/ for short-form notes and /posts/ for long-form content. You can use them in your navigation settings.

Here is an example:

As you can see, l chose to only show long form posts with nostr hashtag on the homepage, and added /notes/ and /posts/ to navigation.

Here is how it looks on the site:

Let us know if this is useful!

Quoted events have previews now!

If you're quoting your own post, the link in quote preview will lead to your site. Otherwise it will open the post on njump.

Numerous other fixes and small improvements were released yesterday:

• relay synching works better
• pagination fixed on tag and author pages
• dynamic event loading added if we reached the end of cached events in a feed
• video preview rendering bug fixed
• profile caching improved
• /notes/ and /posts/ feeds added with only short/long posts

And a couple new features coming later today, stay tuned!

RSS feeds are live on nostr sites!

There are millions of people using RSS reader apps to follow their favorite publications. Your nostr-based websites are now serving these people well.

If your friends and family are using RSS readers, this is your chance to have them follow your nostr posts.

Just append /rss/ to home or tag or author page address to get a corresponding feed.

If you're publishing a podcast, the RSS feed of your podcast can now be served by your nostr site.

We are one step closer now in bridging nostr to the existing web ecosystem. Let's go!

You can do lots of customizations to your site using code injections.

Video previews are now shown properly on your nostr websites:

Link previews & embeds are live on your nostr sites!

We added support for Oembed standard, which means YouTube, Spotify and similar links are now converted into a nice player or custom preview:

And if the linked site doesn't support oembed, we do our best to show a nice link preview box:

Your nostr posts keep getting better on the web!

Next stop: nostr link previews for quotes and replies.

Nostr sites are already quite extensible!

Some fixes deployed recently on nostr sites:

• comments look good on mobile now, without deep replies shifting too far to the right and breaking the layout
• profile mentions (nostr:npub...) are now properly rendered as username and link to njump

Slowly but surely your nostr posts are getting better on the web!

Did you know your npub.pro site gives you a nip05 nostr address?

Just type _@.npub.pro into your profile's Nip05 address field, and it will show up as ".npub.pro" as you address in nostr clients.

We added a Delete button for sites in https://npub.pro/admin dashboard, so you can get rid of all the unnecessary sites that were created.

Also, search buttons now work too:

Wow someone who sent 5k - you rock!!!

Help please!

Your sites are zap-able now!

We have improved the hashtag selection in site settings, you can now type any hashtags, not just select from the dropdown.

You can also edit the name of your website as it appears when added to homescreen with App name setting.

Also, link previews should look better on Twitter now.

Please let us know if something else is missing!

We have fixed several issues with npub.pro app and websites it generates. If you had any issues recently, please try again now.

And thank you for your feedback and support!
