Kickstr: Predict the 2026 World Cup — and land in the open web

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is almost here — and with it the question every football fan obsesses over: Who lifts the trophy?

At Kickstr you don't answer it in theory — you answer it match by match. Predict the scores, rack up points, climb the leaderboard — and win real sats.

But there's something bigger behind the game. The real question isn't just "Who wins the World Cup?" — it's:

What if your World Cup predictions could orange-pill your friends?

Kickstr turns the world's biggest sporting event into a gateway to Bitcoin and Nostr — without anyone needing to understand the tech first. Just football, competition, and a first step into the open web.

What is Kickstr?

A prediction game for the 2026 World Cup, built on Bitcoin and Nostr. No account chaos, no ads, no data sales. You play with your own identity and stay in control — of your profile, your picks, your winnings.

How it works

• ⚽ Predict matches — call the score for every match before kickoff. An exact score earns the most, the right goal difference a bit less, the right tendency still counts. Way off? No points — but a fresh chance at the next whistle.
• 🎯 Bonus questions — the big tournament bets: Who wins the World Cup? (your pick earns points the further your team advances), which team produces the top scorer?, who reaches the semi-finals? — and for the pub crowd: whose defence becomes the leakiest? and who lands the biggest blowout win? Every pick stays hidden until its deadline.
• 🏆 Leaderboard — watch live how you stack up against everyone else. 🥇🥈🥉
• ⚡ Win — the best tipsters take home real sats from the prize pool.

The real trick: getting in

This is where Kickstr becomes a bridge. You need zero prior knowledge.

• New to Nostr? Sign up in seconds with email — and pick up your own Nostr identity and your first steps with sats along the way. No whitepaper, no seed-phrase stress, no "understand it first."
• Already here? Log in with your Nostr extension, a bunker, or a passkey — your key always stays with you.

So "I'll just quickly play the World Cup" becomes someone's first real contact with decentralized identity and borderless money. That's exactly the plan.

Why Bitcoin & Nostr?

• ⚡ Real sats — stakes and winnings run over Lightning and Cashu, not play money. Every contribution flows straight into the players' prize pool.
• 🔑 Your key, your access — no platform that can lock you out. Your identity is yours.
• 🌐 Open — Kickstr lives on the open Nostr network, not in a walled-off app. Your picks are public Nostr events — visible in Damus, Amethyst & co.

Predict what you love. Win what counts. In Bitcoin.

Get in — and bring your crew

The group stage is just the beginning. Grab your pick, challenge your football friends, and be there when predictions turn into sats. Who knows — a mate or two might walk away from the game with their first Nostr identity and their first sats.
