People often think of us devs as robots 🤖, weirdos who sit literally all day in front of a screen and only play videogames in their free time.

Although we do spend lots o hours in front of a screen, we are more “normal” than people think. Some devs do sports, enjoy being outside, make crafts and can have lots hobbies that don’t match the nerdy stereotype. And of course, many devs play videogames too.

Creativity is an essential part of programming. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that a dev can also draw, knit, do pottery, cook or write poems. It’s the same creativity, just applied in a different area.

Yes, we are nerds. But we are humans, not agents.

I make a lot if typos when writing. I am not proud about it, but now in AI times my bug was a bit turned into a feature, a proof that it’s human writing.

I wonder if AI is going to start making some typos on purpose. Or maybe people are already prompting AI to do that

Every now and then I need a total reset Sunday. I call it my “Nothing Day”.

Pajamas all day, no plans, just sleep and the most important part: no guilt for doing nothing.

The no guilt rule is the hardest part. But it really resets me so it is worth it.

I clocked 14 hours of sleep. I definitely beat my record. I hadn’t realized how tired I was.

I won’t pretend I wasn’t a bit anxious when entering my npub… 😅

Feeling relieved now. Thanks

Woke up for the sunrise but it was too late. But the beach was welcoming me with something more interesting: fisherman pulling in their nets.

I had never seen how they worked before. They were super nice and let me try to help by pulling. (I’m pretty sure I wasn’t really helping but it was fun) 🐟💪🏻

I am the biggest fan of this project… Shaka has actually helped me a lot in my day to day coding! I feel I can now use cheaper models and get similar or better results, without eating up all my tokens. It’s crazy.

Disclaimer: I am a biased wife 🥰 but I’m truly grateful for this tool!

It was super fun to then watch people walking by and stopping to read the messages I left.

Coding and then just walking through this secret door in the garden to get onto the beach is just unreal… 🏝️💻

Today I was called a “terrorist” (literally) by a very close family member and it hurt, because I am very fond of that person 💔

Why? For questioning the doctor’s incentive to give my little brother, who is totally healthy and smart, some “preventive headache” pills… 💊 which, of course, have lots of side effects.

My sister, who is herself a doctor, didn’t agree with those pills. I trust her and I know she wants the best for my brother too, that’s why I started asking questions.

When she spoke up, she was even more harshly criticized than me, cause “she is not a neurology specialist” to be questioning the prescription.

We have reached a point where some people don’t question the “experts” at all. Just wanting to have a second specialist opinion was asking too much.

Common sense is lost. Or some of us just lost the “common sense” and we are not common anymore.

I can’t understand why income tax exists if they are going to take as much as they want to take through inflation anyway… It’s just a show. But why? To distract us?
