if you ever think your instance hosting costs are expensive remember toot.community cost $500 a MONTH to run

:ballsfish:

any fish

UPS delivered my new screen right after I left for work :uncannycat:

btw this instance runs on Devuan now

no soysytemd here anymore :TakanePoint:

I've updated both the frontend and backend to 2.11.1 while in the process of migrating to the new VPS. with that I've thrown in a few changes:

• image compression is now enabled by default again, compressing to AVIF if your browser supports AVIF encoding (it probably doesn't) and simply uploading the original if it doesn't (this is probably the case)
• The i18n now only includes a few changes to the frontend instead of trying to be a completely different localization
• push notifications SHOULD now work

thank you friends

less than four hours of downtime award

maintenance in two hours :MagicalReisaStare:

the furries are waking up

ok so what I found out is that the eDP pinout on the Samsung OLED is flipped so that pin 1 is on the other side, which means that if I hook it up to my laptop and apply power it blows up instantly

HOWEVER the 120Hz Sharp panel out of the 2020 Razer Blade Stealth supposedly fits just fine so I'll order one of those. pretty poggers
