Izzy got a sweet new family for Christmas this morning! I wish it were me, but she gets to grow up with a little human sister (they’re going to be the best of friends), and her new mama is wonderful. She’s gonna have so many wonderful adventures. This is always the hardest part, but she couldn’t have gone to a better family!

Today was our last day with Lane. This girl is just the sweetest, bestest pup ever. We spoiled the crap outta her, took her on adventures, and gave her all the love she could ever want. I’m so glad I still get to see this girl after having fostered her over the summer. The most rewarding part of fostering is seeing these pups happy and healthy in their forever homes. It’s an added bonus to get to spend time with them after they’ve been adopted! Lane is truly a special girl.

I started fostering dogs earlier this year. One of those dogs, Lane, went to an amazing family who lives super close to me. I get to dog sit her this week and I’m loving it (even being sick)!! She’s the SWEETEST girl EVER!

Time for a little photo dump! The run of shows with my friend Lauren was a success!!! We met lots of cool people, had easy travel, had the cutest little road dog with us, and I got to see South Carolina for the first time. That means I’ve been to 45 out of the 50 states, AND Puerto Rico. Crazy! Anyone been to all 50?

The only downside from the weekend is that I came down with a nasty little bug. But I’ll be back to normal before you know it. (Although, I could definitely use a good soup

😂😂).

Anyway, good times were had!

It’s always fun to see your name on a marquee. It’s even more fun when it’s with friends at a super cool venue like Pure Life House Of Music, in LaGrange, GA.

Ahhh finally a little cynicism… I once rented and EV not realizing what I was doing. It was half charged when I got it, and quickly died on my one hour drive from Detroit to Toledo. Because of course it takes more energy if you plug in your phone to use the map, and if you drive above 55mph.

Then I had to scramble to figure out how/where to charge the damn thing. Thought plugging it in at the hotel for 24 hours would be enough. It was absolutely not. Then had one of the most stressful drives back to the airport (which I barely made it to). Never again, I said. I will never rent an EV again. These are NOT the right cars for long road trips by any stretch of the imagination.

Why am I telling you this? Because it turns out we had to rent a car at the last minute for this weekend’s run of shows. Found a great deal on what I thought was an SUV, and guess what kind of car it was? A freaking EV. Nope. Had to pay $30 more for a gas car, but if Michigan and Ohio aren’t well equipped to handle EVs, then the southern US DEFINITELY ain’t!

I’m a fan of a good hybrid. But I do not like straight up EVs. I’ve road tripped way too much in my life to have to hunt down a charging station and spend an hour there charging (plus the money) for maybe 150 miles of drive time.

End rant.

I’ve only been active on Nostr for a week, and already I’m feeling better about this space than any other space online. Will I have cynical shit to say? Of course. But I’m in my Nostr honeymoon phase. Nothing but hearts and stars for now. 😜😎💜✨

Back in 2016, I got to record an EP at the infamous London Bridge Studio in Seattle (Pearl Jam’s Ten was recorded there, along with a number of other amazing 90s grunge bands). I’ve been in many studios, and none of them have the magical feel that this place has.

I’ve got new music I’ll be releasing next year, but this EP came out in January of 2017. I’m still very proud of it. It’s almost 8 years old now. Crazy. Still feels like just a year or two ago.
