Are you sure your Bitcoin private keys are truly safe from a signature-based attack?
Join us today (19-Oct-2026) at 8:00 PM IST / 2:30 PM UTC for Latest in Bitcoin Tech
We will be breaking down the evolution of node communication and critical security vulnerabilities, covering: 🔹ECDSA Fundamentals: An overview of the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm. 🔹The Role of the Nonce: Why the value k is the most sensitive part of a signature. 🔹The Dark Skippy Attack: How a malicious signer can exfiltrate your seed phrase through seemingly normal signatures. 🔹BIP 461: Exploring the new standard for verifiable signing to protect your assets against these sophisticated attacks.
📍 8 PM IST only on Discord: http://discord.com/invite/STeQFVEWf9✨

Just a day after ClaudeAI brought attention to the origins of NIST’s elliptic curve parameters, we gathered in Pune to explore the mathematics that helps secure Bitcoin.
We spent time understanding secp256k1, ECDSA, and Schnorr signatures. We also looked ahead at quantum computing and what it could mean for Bitcoin’s cryptographic future.
These conversations matter because security is never something we should accept blindly. We should understand how it works, question its assumptions, and stay curious about what comes next.
That’s what we want Bitshala to be about. People coming together to learn, ask difficult questions, and understand Bitcoin a little more deeply than they did before.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Deccan, Pune on 17-Oct-2026, and made the session what it was. The best part of learning is that there’s always more to discover. 🟠

Today (17-Oct-2026) in Chandigarh, just one person showed up for our Bitcoin meetup. We sat down, had a conversation, and started with a simple question: What is money?
We went deep into how to build a solid foundation, exchanged some read's like The Internet of Money and Broken Money to understand further.
Every conversation counts when it comes to orange-pilling the world 📚🚀

Congratulations to our Programming Bitcoin (PB) Season 2 graduates 🚀
Over 8 weeks, participants worked through the entire Bitcoin stack hands-on in a local regtest environment, starting with cryptography and moving on to transactions, scripting, networking and more.
Working on regtest means learning by doing: spinning up a node, mining blocks on demand, and seeing exactly how each layer of Bitcoin behaves, without touching real funds.
To everyone who earned their certificates, well done. Bitcoin needs more engineers who understand it from the protocol up. 🎉

Congratulations to our Mastering Bitcoin Season 6 graduates!
Over the last 10 weeks, they worked through the 3rd edition of Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos, building a deeper understanding of the technology that powers Bitcoin.
From transactions and HD wallets to mining and consensus, they went beyond the surface to understand how Bitcoin actually works.
Every chapter completed. Every concept questioned. Every bit of effort earned.
Congratulations to everyone who earned their certificates. The real journey begins when you take what you've learned and put it to work.
The rabbit hole goes deeper. Keep going. 🟠
Every Taproot signature comes down to one equation:
s = k + e·x
So why can't anyone forge it? 🔐
Tonight we finish our signatures deep dive with @sha512rma:
→ ECDSA vs. Schnorr → Multisig + a critical attack vector → The Forking Lemma: forging Schnorr = solving the DLP

What separates a resilient Bitcoin business from one that collapses?
Growth alone doesn't guarantee durability. Business models, custody practices, counterparty exposure, and risk management all matter.
At this week's TradFi & Bitcoin Club, we continue our Early Riders’ Top 50 Bitcoin Companies series with a closer look at the companies shaping financial infrastructure around Bitcoin, alongside some of the industry's most consequential failures.
📅 Wednesday, 14 October 2026 | 8:00 PM IST | 2:30 PM UTC
📍 Join the discussion in the Bitshala Discord Lounge:
https://discord.com/invite/STeQFVEWf9
Our discussion will cover: 🔹 Lending Models: Examining the rise and collapse of BlockFi and Celsius, and the risks embedded in their business models. 🔹 Custody & Security: Comparing Anchorage Digital’s institutional custody approach with Casa’s focus on individual self-custody. 🔹 Institutional Infrastructure: Understanding the distinct roles of Galaxy and Fireblocks in financial services and digital asset infrastructure. 🔹 Bitcoin-Backed Lending: Exploring Ledn’s lending model and how it differs from failed competitors. 🔹 Systemic Failures: Drawing lessons from FTX and the Terra ecosystem, including counterparty risk and the fragility of financial models. The goal is to look beyond the headlines and understand the underlying business decisions, incentives, and risks.
For developers, entrepreneurs, investors, and anyone interested in the intersection of traditional finance and Bitcoin, these lessons matter.

A Bitcoin transaction. No internet.
At our last BOSS Summit in Dharamshala, a builder broadcast a Bitcoin transaction over mesh radio, with no Wi-Fi and no mobile data, live in the room.
That demo sums up what the BOSS Summit is for. We bring India's Bitcoin open-source developers, designers and educators together to work on real problems. There's no stage and no sales pitch. Just builders, code and candid feedback.
At Bitshala, a Pathshala for Bitcoin, this is our everyday work. We help developers enter and thrive in Bitcoin FOSS through: → Study cohorts, from Mastering Bitcoin to Protocol Development → Clubs for Bitcoin Core PR reviews, Optech, Kernel and reading → A paid fellowship for developers, designers and educators → Bitspace, our hackerspace in Bengaluru → Our incubator, hackathons like BOSS Battle, and the BOSS Summit
The next BOSS Summit is in Jaipur.
It's invite-only, but we've opened 10 Session Passes for students and developers who want to be in the room.
Session Pass, Oct 27–29: • All sessions, workshops and demos • Lunch included • Stay and Bitmela pass not included
If you're building on Bitcoin, Lightning, Nostr or eCash, or you want to start a career in open-source Bitcoin development, this is a good place to begin.

What if your Bitcoin wallet didn’t need an app, or even a smartphone?
During BOSS Battle 2026, our hackathon for Bitcoin builders, Anipy built DialSats: a Bitcoin wallet you can call. It works from any phone that can make calls and send SMS.
Here’s the flow in the demo: → Text “Hi” to the DialSats number → DialSats calls you back → A voice guides you through setup on your keypad → Your Lightning address arrives by SMS
According to the builder, it also lets you send and receive, take in dollars, and buy bitcoin with INR peer-to-peer.
Why this matters: billions of people still rely on basic phones, patchy data, or no data plan at all. Projects like this ask a simple question: how do we make Bitcoin usable for them, using the tools they already have?
Today’s Bitshala Club: Is your phone ever truly offline?
Bitcoin Hardware & Sovereignty Club | Today · 8 PM IST | 2:30 PM UTC

🟠 Bitshala Meetup in Surat | Decoding Bitcoin (26-Sept-2026)
Our first meetup in Surat was a meaningful conversation around one question:
What problem was Bitcoin created to solve?
To understand any solution, one must first understand the problem it was created to solve.
We explored the history of money and the monetary problems Bitcoin emerged in response to, helping participants understand why Bitcoin is fundamentally different from just another asset.
A few wanted to go deeper, so we happily recommended The Bitcoin Standard by Dr. Saifedean Ammous and Broken Money by Lyn Alden as starting points.
Thank you, Surat. We’re just getting started. 🟠

Huge thanks to everyone who joined the Hyderabad Meetup today (26-Sept-2026) 🧡

There was a time when Bitshala was just 30 people in a Discord server.
A small group of people who were curious about Bitcoin, wanted to understand it a little better, and believed it was worth building around.
Today, that same community has grown to 3000+ on Discord, 3100+ on X, and nearly 1000 on LinkedIn.
But numbers are not what we see when we look at those milestones.
We see people.
People who came here to learn and build, asked questions, shared ideas, opened pull requests, attended meetups, mentored others, became fellows, made friends, and helped someone else take their first step into Bitcoin.
Some have been here since there were only 30 of us. Some joined just yesterday. Many have contributed in ways that may never be visible from the outside.
That is what makes this milestone meaningful to us. Not that the numbers have grown, but that so many people have grown with them.
Bitshala was built to create a place where people could come together, learn deeply, build openly, and contribute to something they believed mattered.
So to everyone who has been here from the beginning, and to everyone who joined somewhere along the way, thank you. 🙇♂️
You are not just part of Bitshala's story. You are the reason the story exists.
30 became 3,000+ and there is so much more to build 🧡

Bitspace 2.0 is OPEN 🟠
Two years ago, we opened Bitspace with a simple idea: give Bitcoin builders in India a place to work, learn and build together.
We thought we were opening a workspace. But somewhere along the way, it became much more.
Developers, designers, researchers, educators, privacy advocates and Bitcoiners walked through these doors.
Some came to work, some to learn, and some simply to see what was happening.
Then the magic started. Ideas became projects, conversations became collaborations and strangers became friends.🧡
And this very room became an important part of their journeys, and of India’s growing Bitcoin story.
Today, Bitspace 2.0 @bitshala opens its doors.
More room to build. Better spaces for deep work. A space designed around the people doing the work.
The mission remains the same: grow the next generation of Bitcoin developers and contributors.
Bitcoin needs people who go deeper, question assumptions, write code, ship software and strengthen the open-source commons.
Bitspace exists to give them a home. BLR. Bitspace 2.0. The next chapter begins. 🟠

Bitshala is at the Open Source Hub Bitcoin Asia Conference 2026 in Hong Kong 🇭🇰🟠
Every serious movement eventually faces the same question: Who will carry the knowledge forward?
Bitcoin is no different. Understanding the protocol, reading the code, learning its tools, and developing the patience to work in open source takes time.
That work begins long before the code is written.
For the last few years, Bitshala is actively trying to build that path in south-east Asia.
What began with Bitcoin education grew into study cohorts, technical discussions, contributors, projects, mentors, and a community willing to spend time understanding Bitcoin from first principles.
These images capture different parts of that journey: people learning together, explaining ideas, presenting their work, and taking their first steps into open-source contribution.
The goal was never simply to teach people about Bitcoin, it was to help create people capable of building it.

What makes Bitcoin’s private keys so difficult to break? ⚡️
Join us today at 8:00 PM IST for The Cryptographic Foundations of Bitcoin with Kartikeya Sharma.
We’ll finish our DLP journey and move into the mathematics behind Bitcoin’s security:
Explore fast exponentiation, elliptic curves, point addition and doubling, and how Q = k⋅G gives us the ECDLP problem behind secp256k1.

🗓 Saturday, 22nd August 🕙 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Bitcoin isn’t money because of its cryptography; it’s money because it survives an environment where every participant is assumed hostile.
To understand why Bitcoin functions as native internet money, you have to look past the surface-level protocol and examine the adversarial engineering that makes its state machine virtually impossible to alter or shut down.

Not Your Entropy, Not Your Bitcoin | Chennai
📅 Saturday, 15th August 🕡 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
What if your 24-word seed looks perfectly random… but really isn’t? We usually trust our hardware wallet, phone, or computer to generate that secret for us. It gives us 12 or 24 random-looking words, we write them down, and move on.
This meetup is about understanding what actually sits underneath the words randomness, entropy, and secure key generation, without treating the wallet as a black box.
Seats are limited.
