Huh! Imagine my shock to learn that the publishing and education barons of the last 150+ years have been purposely dumbing-down people’s understanding of the foundational values of western civilization.

In a nutshell, this is the main reason I went overboard from NA a few years ago.

And I'm genuinely happy for Adam that he's moving on from a show format largely based on cynicism. :)

I told an accountability buddy I would “punish” him with memes about procrastination if he didn’t meet his goal deadline.

Whatcha got, frens? :pepe_dream:

“Why do Christians venerate the relics of saints, and how can these objects perform miracles? I explore the biblical and symbolic meaning of relics, from the bones of Elisha to the incorrupt bodies of saints, and what they reveal about the body, holiness, and the resurrection.”

“Archbishop Dmitri of Dallas died in the summer of 2011, and was buried unembalmed, according to Orthodox tradition. …his body was disinterred for transferral to his new tomb in St. Seraphim Orthodox Cathedral in Dallas... When the cemetery personnel opened his coffin, they found Vladyka Dmitri incorrupt.

That is to say, his body had not decayed. He has been buried for four and a half years under the Texas ground, and his body looks like it did the day he died.”

Perhaps this helps explain why holy people (who are full of God’s energy) can remain incorrupt (not decompose).

This hits hard lately. Time to put down my distractangle and BE IRL.
