YouTube pulled two Bitcoin channels in one day. Simply Bitcoin was back within about an hour, and The Bitcoin Conference is still gone.

If your audience only lives on someone else's server, they decide when you get to talk.

Run your own stuff. 🟧

Ask us something on X or Nostr and a real person reads it.

We try to answer every reply and mention, and if you spot something broken, tell us.

We'll look into it and let you know what's going on. 🟧

A few German savings banks started selling bitcoin in the Sparkasse app today for €0.99 an order.

The coins sit in DekaBank's pooled wallet, and you can only send them to approved crypto companies, not your own hardware wallet.

That's a bank IOU. 🟧

Canadians who come back average 10.5 orders each. Americans, 8.6.

That's not people trying bitcoin once. That's people living on it. 🟧

Open Coincards in Brave and watch the Shields counter sit at zero.

No third-party trackers, no Google scripts, no ad pixels in your browser. Use TOR for even more privacy.

Meanwhile, our competition is leaking your clicks to five tracking companies before you even hit accept. 🟧

Building privacy technology shouldn't mean developers and their families have to live in fear for innovating.

We haven't forgotten Keonne, Bill, or their families, including Lauren (@leamuirleyn), who continues to advocate for Keonne.

We did the math.

Most crypto gift card sites upcharge on https://Amazon.ca cards, usually 5 to 10%, quite often "hidden"

Ours are face value: a $20 card for $20 in sats with Bitcoin or Lightning.

No wonder we sell out constantly. 🟧

https://coincards.com/ca/product/amazon-ca-gift-card/

82% of our Canadian orders come from repeat customers.

Ottawa can freeze bank accounts all it wants. Canadians keep spending sats. 🟧

Cool side effect, you can deliver gift cards to any other user on Nostr too with this. Buy the card and enter their npub. Boom! Gift Sent!

Tag someone you would send a gift card too! 💜

Email is basically becoming a surveillance product with a send button.

So we added Signal and Nostr DM delivery for gift card codes.

Pay in sats, get your codes in a DM, and let Google wonder where you went.

Both are in beta. 🟧

Building open-source privacy tools shouldn't mean having to hide from the consequences of how someone else might use them.

Developers need room to build. Innovation depends on it.

Your uncle will explain at dinner why Bitcoin is a scam while his savings melt in a chequing account like gravy on a hot plate.

Carrefour and Kruidvat in Belgium are selling bitcoin gift cards now.

Security Incident Notice

On September 21, Coincards identified unauthorized access to our frontend web server through a WordPress-specific vulnerability.

The attacker was able to gain access to the web server and take a copy of the frontend website files.

These files do not contain user or order information.

Our production database is hosted separately behind private networking, and we have found no evidence that the attacker directly accessed or downloaded our production database containing user information.

During our investigation, we did confirm that a small number of customers had their data downloaded through an export tool we use. The export contained a handful of customer account records, including email addresses, account usernames/IDs, and password hashes.

Passwords are not stored or exposed in plaintext. The file contained one-way cryptographic password hashes, which cannot be used directly to log into an account. As a precaution, the affected customers will be contacted directly today with additional information and recommended steps.

We have contained the incident and completed several security measures, including removing the vulnerable software and malicious files, invalidating all existing WordPress login sessions, changing administrator passwords, rotating database and application/API credentials, and adding additional server-level protections to prevent the exploit from being run again.

We also conducted an extensive review for signs of continued access or persistence.

At this time, we have found no evidence of unauthorized administrator accounts, new SSH keys, new system users, persistent malicious processes, keyloggers, or other ongoing access to the server.

The handful of affected customers will be contacted directly today.

We will continue monitoring the environment and reviewing the incident, and we will provide additional information if anything materially changes what we currently know.

We believe transparency is important when a security incident occurs, and we wanted to communicate what happened, what information was affected, and the steps we have taken in response.

The Bitcoin space seems to have never-ending headlines lately.

In light of the @BtcpayServer concerns, we have updated to the latest version.

We've also cycled some of our wallets and are now using full segwit addresses for payments.

If you have a wallet that doesn't support segwit payments, it's really just time to update lol.

We want to clear up a bit of confusion.

@CoinCards and Coldcard/Coinkite are separate companies.

We have used the name Coincards longer than the coldcard has been around.

When coldcard was created, we asked NVK to reconsider the name. He laughed it off "it's not even close".

With all that's going on, the name is often being used interchangeably on social media. We are also getting support requests to our site for Coinkite products.

To everyone affected by the situation, we're genuinely sorry you're having to deal with it. As fellow Bitcoiners, we know how stressful anything involving your savings or self-custody can be, and we hope everyone is able to get everything sorted safely.

Wishing everyone the best. ❤️

Ended up doing a little light reading 📖 through the original Bitcointalk thread from Laszlo’s pizza post 🍕

There are a lot of interesting posts in there, but this simple one stood out, so I thought I’d share 👇

Let’s update the question 👀- right answers only😂 Will this eventually become the world’s first ₿illion-dollar pizza?

Before the famous pizza order 🍕, Laszlo was already contributing code to Bitcoin, helping pioneer GPU mining, and interacting directly with Satoshi ⛏️

At a time when most people mined with CPUs, Laszlo experimented with using GPUs to make mining far more efficient.

The pizza made history. But Laszlo helped shape Bitcoin’s early days too.

🍕Back in 2010, Laszlo spent 10,000 BTC on two pizzas in what’s known as Bitcoin’s first real-world purchase. & Since 2014, http://Coincards.com has been helping bridge the gap for much more than just pizzas... although we do have some great Gift Cards for those too 😄

And honestly, who doesn’t love some pizza at the end of a work week🔥

*No Account Needed - select your Region & get started *Quick Delivery - "Electronic Gift Cards" right to your Email

Bitcoin Pizza Day is this Friday 🍕 Celebrate the tradition. Buy a pizza with Bitcoin

No need to post on forums these days😄

Just head straight to Coincards.com: • Pick your region - Search “Pizza” • Select a Gift Card from your fav pizza place or keep it even easier with • a Gift Card from Uber eats/DoorDash

Get it while it’s hot 🔥

Back in 2014, Bitcoin was growing fast, but there were very few options on how to actually spend the money without exchanging for fiat through exchanges and ATMs.

Coincards.com was built to help bridge that gap 🌉

No VC funding. No pressure to compromise on our values.

We chose to build organically alongside the people and communities that share those same goals ⚡

Just a small team helping push adoption forward. Huge thank you to all our supporters🧡

THE STATE JUST DECLARED WAR ON CODERS…

Let’s get straight to the point:

The charges against Samourai founders @keonne and Bill are absolute bullshit.

Not “misguided,” not “misinformed,” not “concerning.”

Bullshit.

There was no fair path to trial for Bill and Keonne.

They took a plea because the judge made a fair trial impossible — dismissing their motions without real consideration, telegraphing hostility toward their defense, and making it abundantly clear that any attempt to fight the charges would be met with the harshest outcome the system could deliver.

When the referee rigs the match before the bell even rings, stepping into the ring isn’t bravery — it’s self-destruction.

This wasn’t justice. This wasn’t due process. This was the state using the courts as a pressure chamber to make an example out of them.

And let’s make something crystal clear for any federal agency listening in:

Building a tool is not a crime. Privacy is not a crime. Writing code is not a crime.

Yet here we are — watching two builders, two innovators, two privacy advocates be dragged through the mud because the government cannot tolerate the idea of ordinary people having autonomy.

Bill and Keonne didn’t harm anyone. They didn’t steal anything. They didn’t victimize a single soul.

Their so-called “crime” was building privacy tools in an era where governments insist on total surveillance and unquestioned obedience.

This case isn’t about justice. It’s about power. It’s about a government terrified of losing control — terrified enough to cage the very people who create tools that empower the public. When the state starts imprisoning developers for writing code, it is not just an attack on two individuals —it is an attack on everyone who believes freedom extends beyond government-approved boundaries.

If we don’t stand up for the builders now, there won’t be any left to stand up for. If we don’t defend privacy now, the future will be a catalog of state-approved apps where autonomy exists only as decoration. And if this prosecution goes unchallenged, the next target won’t be a wallet developer — it could be anyone who engineers something the government cannot control.

Bill and Keonne deserve freedom. Coders deserve freedom. People deserve privacy. Governments deserve limits.

The state has overplayed its hand and revealed exactly what it fears most: an empowered public, sovereign individuals, and a world where privacy is guaranteed by math — not granted by authority.

We’re done being polite. We’re done pretending this is normal. We’re done letting the state dictate the boundaries of human freedom.

Free Bill. Free Keonne. Full pardons now. And let the builders build.

WHAT YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW If you’re pissed off—and you should be—here’s how you can take direct action today:

1️⃣ Sign the petition demanding their freedom: 👉 https://change.org/p/stand-up-for-freedom-pardon-the-innocent-coders-jailed-for-building-privacy-tools?recruited_by_id=02661b10-bf6a-11f0-b550-a388e9e41739

2️⃣ Learn their story and share it: 👉 https://billandkeonne.org

3️⃣ Support their defense fund — with fiat.

Why fiat?

Because the courts have literally ordered them to NOT transact crypto.

Yes, you read that right. The government is so terrified of Bitcoin that they’ve banned the defendants from receiving it. If that doesn’t tell you everything about who the real threat is here, nothing will.
