Yo

! Are you at Bitcoin Jungle? The family and I will be taking a trip there next Spring. Starting the conversation now to make sure I use my time best and get to meet as many of the people making a difference as possible. We’re staying at an Airbnb near Bahia Ballena in February 2027.

I visited this coffee shop on my trip to Livingstone! So cool to see places I previously visited as a tourist popping up on BTC Map and working with our team at @bitcoinvictoriafalls

Email Template for Square Business Owners after you’ve visited their establishment:

Hello and To Whom It May Concern,

I visited your business this week[end] and had a phenomenal experience. Thank you. I currently keep my checking account in Bitcoin and Bitcoin is also my preferred method of payment. I noticed that you have Square payment terminals. I am kindly requesting your consideration in turning on the Bitcoin payments feature, which was recently released. This will assist both myself as a returning customer, and others who want to pay in Bitcoin, while offering you a 0% transaction fee. You can accept the payment in Bitcoin or US Dollars. If you want to learn more about Bitcoin to determine which is the best choice is for your business, a great place to start is:

Look forward to returning to your establishment,

A great way to frame an accepting Bitcoin question to a merchant:

“Have you ever been asked if you accept Bitcoin before?”

It gets them thinking and is more likely to lead to a conversation

Any Bitcoiners have tips for visiting Arnhem, Netherlands? What were your favorite merchants or ways to spend your Bitcoin in Arnhem?

Every single government program that the establishment left in the US is kicking & screaming about was built through monetary colonialism in the Bretton Woods era. The arguments of these programs being benevolent, philanthropic, & just is factually incorrect from a global lens.

Does Bitcoin as hard money drive a renaissance of artisans and craftsman due to the deluge of mass production becoming less appealing because people aren’t trying to constantly rub two nickels together to make a dollar?

Visa and Mastercard are private companies. Those are our Medium of Exchange competitors, not the US Dollar.

Sorry Johnny, this business doesn’t accept Bitcoin so you’ll have to hold onto your allowance and find a business that has a Bitcoin POS terminal!

Just opened a bank account for a non-profit that I am Board Treasurer of that is not Bitcoin based (for now). Just wow, the amount of questions, time, and red tape was absolutely incredulous.

Not only did we have to clear our “good standing” status with the State of Maryland by filing reports with them, but it also took us over 3 hours and 50 questions to get the bank account opened. The fiat system needs to die.

this is the episode the made the entire OP_RETURN debate make sense for me. Would you be willing to provide a TLDR: https://fountain.fm/episode/twR9XdpCO0yoMTSQUGPj

In early 2025 we put together a translation team to translate the

curriculum into Tonga, a Bantu language spoken in Zambia and Zimbabwe. 4 months later and we have our first graduates from Mukuni Village, a traditional Zambian village ~25min from Livingstone and ~10min from Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The Smoke That Thunders”) also known as Victoria Falls.

No Presidents are good men, they shouldn’t be put on pedestals, and they shouldn’t be looked to by children as more than just another human being with an inordinate amount of power that is more often than not used for evil. We should be teaching children that goverment is coercive and individuals / families / friends and those in our community are the people that should be looked up to. The public school system largely uses propoganda to put goverment officials on pedestals, reinforcing the wrong message that government officials are a moral North Star. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

I’d really love to understand or hear a podcast on the current technical implementation of tap to pay as it relates to Apple wallet vs other implementations, why Bitcoin NFC cards can’t currently integrate with that ecosystem, how

got an alpha version of tap to pay to work with ecash, and what specifically needs to happen to be able to load an NFC card on something like Apple Wallet and use sats to pay.

has offered the

course three times in 2024, two times so far in 2025, and has had 76 graduates, averaging 15.2 graduates per cohort. To graduate, learners must attend 4 out of the 5 classes.

My local bagel shop was brought an order of paper straws by accident. I begrudgingly stuck one in my iced coffee after asking if this was a permanent switch or a mistake. I took one sip and threw it away immediately. Paper straws are the worst.

The people with flowing liberal tears can’t fathom the fact that the US Government empire and social programs were funded by monetary colonialism. They’re not righteous social programs, they’re built on the backs of the poorest people in the world.

Really interested in learning more about Meshtastic. Been so busy lately that I haven't heard much about it yet other than

anecdotes and knowing that

is deploying it across western North Carolina.

I really relate to

in my upbringing as it relates to our age, hating school, and the constant need to challenge authority within the structures of system forced upon us, while also staying true to family and friends. Great podcast yesterday!

We are up to 25 surveys completed for my Adopting Bitcoin presentation! Thank you to anyone who has assisted.

Very excited to announce that I will be speaking at Adopting Bitcoin 2024 in San Salvador on the topic ‘Managing Bitcoin Circular Economies Remotely’

LETS GO ☠️🏴‍☠️

you mentioned barter but didn’t really highlight the fact that Bitcoin is just a globally decentralized ledger and that ledgers and barter both pre-date gold as money. What are your thoughts on the argument that we are just documenting who owns what portion of the 21M and when we’re “transacting” we are actually just signing over our portion of that ownership to another owner?

I don’t think Bitcoiners highlight enough that what pre-dates gold is a ledger based monetary system.

Yo

! You know any developers interested in partnering on a Bitcoin company that would compete with Uber / Lyft by integrating Lightning, streaming sats, boosts, and splits (similar to Fountain). I am thinking we would launch at

is there a Nostr equivalent of Meetup that’s worth attention yet? When do we leave the legacy systems in regard to Bitcoin Meetups?

I’ll be visiting Bitcoin Park the last week of October and am hoping there’s an event that week 🫡
