Finally decided to check out all the fuss around Claude Code.

My brain a splode.

I made this app functional in less than an hour, and over the last couple days have added features. I can't believe how simple this is to do. This was just supposed to be a personal app, but it's fun just to see how much you can do with it, like enable it to work for anyone.

With Discord requiring government ID or face scans to use it in the near future, looking at alternatives for my community.

https://stoat.chat/ looks cool. Anyone have experience with it?

I should probably use this for a bit more than GM posts.

gm nostr - Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah everywhere!

Every time I have to do anything to my docker container or server, Alby Hub breaks and I need to reconnect. 🤷‍♂️

Otherwise, Happy Sunday 😁

gm nostr, and happy winter!

Getting an ultrasound today to try to troubleshoot my high blood pressure. Wish me luck.

gm nostr. #coffeechain and #plebchain in full effect

Morning thoughts: drinking is not my thing. Lis and I did a live stream last night as per usual and decided to have a glass of whiskey during, just for the heck of it. But every time I do I swear I have the worst night's sleep after. Now I'm tired af.

Here's to a good Saturday, anyway!

gm nostr - happy Friday

Doing some last-minute Christmas shopping. I know there's a little time but I'm worried about shipping times for anything I buy now -- so it certainly feels last-minute.

Hope you all have an awesome day

Coffee, Bluey, and a little work to kick off the morning as per usual.

How's your morning going so far?

The fan on my space heater next to me is rattling a little bit and it sounds EXACTLY like the hdd being accessed by my 486 from decades ago. Taking me back to beige tower days lol

Happy Monday post-Thanksgiving break. Back to the grind.

gm early risers

Every now and then overnight I get a blip on my #nostr #relay and it looks to go down for a moment and then come back up again. Checking logs for the timeframe, I see a ton of "Subscription error: Maximum concurrent subscription count reached" occurring. Is this a DDoS attack?

I feel like I want to host something on Google Cloud just for the practice of navigating through it. But self-hosting is the fun part... I can't bring myself to lift something off my server and put it on the cloud.

IT struggles 🤣

gm early fam

having a really bad cup of coffee because I gambled and lost on a new brand. Nothing a little cream and sugar can't fix. ☕️

#Thanksgiving yesterday went well with the exception of breaking down along the highway on the way home. A tow truck took our car and the highway safety folks drove my family and I to a nearby gas station where we were picked up by an Uber to take us home.

A bit of a Thanksgiving adventure. The kids handled it really well. Thankful to have the family home, safe, and sound. Hope your holiday went more smoothly than ours. ❤️

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from the states.

Hope you're able to spend time with people you love and eat some great food today. 🍗

I cannot recommend "What's Our Problem?" by Tim Urban enough. This book has been a total game-changer for the way I view and approach politics at large. It doesn't make any recommendations or opinions on politics -- instead, it spends the entire book talking about how to THINK about them.

I read it once and am on my second read thanks to current events. It helps keep me grounded.

If you're at all curious, I highly recommend you check it out: https://a.co/d/0SrbMHs

Went to a Flyers game for the first time in a while last night and caught up with a couple great friends. Still managed to get a good night's sleep, and now I'm ready with coffee and Bluey for my 5-year-old to get up any minute now. ❤️

Be kind today - especially to people you disagree with.

#zapathon

So my Bitcoin and Lightning nodes have been running rock solid for months now.

That's a good thing. BUT I sure knew what I was doing better when stuff was breaking and I was in there tinkering trying to fix it.

Now that it works? I'm gonna forget how to do all this stuff! Next time it breaks i'm screwed. 🤣

Gm nostr

Coffee and studies before the kids get up, then add some Bluey, and all is well.

Be kind today

Is anyone here exclusively nostr? Or are you sharing your time with other social platforms?

I went back to X for to-the-minute election results. The algo and ads make it so, so noisy now. It had been a while.

I tried Threads, and the algo is so aggressive I only saw posts about gaming nostalgia, streamers asking for engagement, or people complaining about Bluesky.

Speaking of Bluesky - that feels a lot like early Twitter. A chronological timeline and no spam so far.

Nostr has the best tech tho. 🔥

Am I starting to lean into #Ditto as my primary desktop Nostr client? hmmmmmm

Gm nostr

Enjoying the BTC chart and watching Bluey while having a nice cup of coffee. Great way to start the day.

gm nostr

watching the show 📈

gm nostr

It feels strange to complain about social media being noisy -- isn't that kind of the point? Like the town square?

Yet here I am, trying to find signal in the noise. At least BTC is ripping 🎉

Gm nostr

Halfway through my morning coffee, but what am I supposed to do, watch Bluey on an empty stomach? 🤣

Hope you all have an awesome day

#coffeechain

Man. I had all but removed social media from my life and was better for it. Then wanting up-to-the-minute info on the election got me back into checking X. Overrun with ads.

So I took the opportunity to also check Threads and Bluesky. Threads is pretty sure I only want content related to the latest Dragon Age game. Bluesky is greenfield for me so there's not much to look at.

It's an interesting state of things in social media. But the noise, the scrolling... I'm just not sure that it's for me.

I'm realizing that I feel a little guilty when I get Claude to come up with a script for something. Because I didn't actually do it, so I feel like I don't deserve credit for it.

Like I automated some really time consuming reports for one of the engineers on my team, and saved them a lot of time. But I didn't actually have the creativity and know-how to devise a utility on the fly -- I just knew how to get it out of Claude.

It worked, so it shouldn't matter, right? It's an odd feeling.

👨‍💻 Another morning chatting with Claude and learning. Hope you're all doing well in the nostrverse
