The Bitcoin World Premiere is done. To every Bitcoin Producer who put their name behind this film when the rest of the industry wouldn't — thank you. You didn't buy a ticket. You backed a thesis.

And a real thank you to

and

for joining the post-film discussion. Having the two of you in the room, talking openly about what this story means for our collective freedom is precisely the kind of conversation this film is meant to start.

This isn't the finish line. It's the beginning. The Bitcoin Producers will convene in another roundtable shortly to put in place the best next steps for a wider release — how we carry this from our community to the world.

More soon. Thank you for being early.

That’s my mom watching

and

and me. At 93, she is still going strong for freedom and humanity.

I refused to look away — and I refused to wait for permission.

Forbes just featured The Six Billion Dollar Man: the Julian Assange documentary that asks the hard questions about power, journalism, and who decides which stories reach the rest of us. Uncomfortable enough that no streamer would touch it. So it's finding its own way.

Thank you to Forbes for the thoughtful feature.

Today, June 27 at 4 PM ET, you can watch for yourself — no middlemen, no gatekeepers.

Every major U.S. streamer passed on this film. Cannes winner. Golden Globe winner. Didn't matter to them.

So we stopped waiting for permission.

Working with

, we're releasing THE SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN through Bitcoin — directly to the people this story was made for.

Variety just covered the full story: why no studio would touch it, how Bitcoin makes this possible, and what Bitcoin Producers get that no one else will.

Bitcoin Producers get in first — 0.01 BTC, exclusive access, and a seat at the table.

Edward Snowden is in my new film for a reason. So is Daniel Ellsberg. So is Chelsea Manning. So is Reality Winner.

Each of them stood alone. Each was systematically destroyed for trying to bring the public information that was rightfully ours. The system is very good at making sure no one tries a second time.

That's the chain I'm trying to break with The Six Billion Dollar Man. Not with a documentary alone — with a model. A way to fund and release the work the gatekeepers will not touch.

We are the only people who can save us. Watch party June 27.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

The room is filling up. Counting down to June 27.

A centralized financial system. A centralized media system. Equally corrupt outcomes.

Bitcoiners have been routing around the first one for more than fifteen years. We’re proving you can route around the second one too.

Same instinct. Same answer. Same community.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

When I started this film I didn't know Bitcoin was different from crypto.

Now I'm meeting people profoundly concerned with human rights — with how their money participates in shaping the world.

That matters a lot to me. That's what I do. And that's why I'm here, on this network, with you.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

Filming Edward Snowden was one of the more significant moments in my career. Few people understand the cost of telling the truth like he does.

Now he's part of our sovereign release. On June 27, he'll be speaking at our Bitcoin Producer Watch Party — as we put this film out on a rail no government can switch off.

The film won Cannes. Won the first-ever Golden Globe for Documentary. Then — silence. Not one streamer. Not one American distributor.

Their last move was to refuse the film. Ours is to skip distribution entirely — straight to you, on a rail no one can pull.

That's the thesis. June 27.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

The watch party isn't a ticket. It's a Producer credit.

Your name goes on the film. Permanent. Not as a viewer, not as a backer — as a Producer of the work.

That's the model. The first audience IS the studio. Sat-gated. No middleman. Powered by Primal and Nostr.

More from Bitcoin Prague.

If we can get this film out — the one they don't want people to see — it proves gatekeepers are no longer necessary.

Assange. Satoshi. Two martyrs. One cause.

We are the only rebel army we have.

The Six Billion Dollar Man. June 27.

thesixbilliondollarman.com

At Bitcoin Prague, I introduced something that has never been done in the history of film.

We're inviting the Bitcoin community to become producers.

Not backers. Not fans.

Producers.

Because the story we're telling — WikiLeaks, Assange, financial censorship — is YOUR story.

And the gatekeepers don't want it seen.

Which means it's exactly the kind of film Bitcoin was made to protect.

The Six Billion Dollar Man. June 27.

thesixbilliondollarman.com

I've been thinking about something

told me.

In 2011, when the U.S. government pressured MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal to cut WikiLeaks off, Bitcoin stepped in. WikiLeaks accepted Bitcoin, and a small community of strangers proved that information can find its way to the public no matter who tries to stop it.

Fifteen years later, the gatekeepers are trying to block my film about the man who ran WikiLeaks — The Six Billion Dollar Man. And once again, the answer is you.

This loop is older than I knew. You opened it. We're closing it together on June 27.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

At Vegas last month, I told people: we're not looking for an audience. We're looking for envoys. People who believe that the right to know things — about our money, about our governments, about our world — is worth defending.

If you're one of those people, June 27 is for you. The BITCOIN-ONLY PREMIERE is for purists. Not speculators, not tourists. If you don't like that, or maybe don't want to part with your speculator-coin, it's not for you. But if you understand why Julian Assange matters and why Bitcoin matters alongside him, then you already know why this film exists.

The people you'll meet in this film: Snowden. Manning. Ellsberg. Reality Winner. Nader. Julian. And many more characters who played their part.

After 7 years of making this film, I keep wondering how this story will continue to unfold.

I see this community as a key part in the next chapter of how Julian’s work continues to impact our world for the better.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

They blocked the payments.

They banned the film.

They couldn't stop either.

This trailer is direct from me to you. No studio. No middlemen.

Zap this if you believe some things can't be censored.

Streaming algorithms feed addictions. That's why it's called binge-watching.

This film gives you something else — things you need to know to be engaged athletically in the world.

Citizens, not consumers. That's why it's premiering here, not on Netflix.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

They made us relocate our whole team. They pulled the distribution. They tried to bury this story.

But they can't stop what this community is building. Sovereign distribution is a rail no one can cut.

June 27. We turn the page together.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com/

0.01 BTC = 0.01 BTC

My film won Cannes and the first-ever Golden Globe for Documentary. Legacy media still won't touch it.

A movie the gatekeepers won't touch is the perfect movie to prove the gatekeepers are no longer necessary.

If we win on this one, movie after movie can be done this way. Led by Bitcoiners. Followed and emulated by everyone else who's been waiting for someone to go first.

Years from now I think we'll look back at this moment the way we look back at Napster. The way we look back at Woodstock. The moment when the rules suddenly changed.

You're not buying a movie ticket. You're proving a model. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻 — watch party June 27, powered by

He knows what it costs to tell people the truth, and what happens when the gatekeepers decide a story shouldn't reach you. He understands why this film is premiering on a rail no government can switch off — instead of on a platform that can be pressured to bury it.

On 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟳 he'll be with us at the Bitcoin Producer-Only Watch Party for a deeper conversation on this topic.

This is what sovereign distribution looks like: the people the system tried to silence, funding and releasing the work together. Become a Bitcoin Producer. 0.01 BTC. Powered by

A Bitcoiner I've never met donated $500,000 in Bitcoin to charter the plane that flew Julian Assange home to Australia.

You can't do that any other way. Not anonymously, not at that speed, not without permission from someone.

That's the kind of thing this community already does. Quietly. Without asking. Without a press release.

My film about Julian — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻 — is what happens when you do that together, in the open. Watch party June 27, powered by

Two dates to put on the calendar.

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟴 — we kick off the Bitcoin Producer cohort with a live call. The Producers' Roundtable. The people who stepped in early to back this film and help it travel.

People ask me why I didn't just wait for a distributor. Somebody would have bought it eventually.

Maybe. But the waiting IS the censorship. Every month a film about Julian Assange sits on a shelf is another month the public doesn't know what their government did. The delay is the weapon. The bureaucracy is the blade.

Bitcoin doesn't wait for permission. Neither does this film anymore. Link in the first comment:

changed the trajectory of this film. He understood before I did that Bitcoin isn't just how you pay for things. It's a way of operating in sovereignty, not just with financial freedom but information freedom.

Last month at Bitcoin Vegas we showed what that looks like. And on June 27, we are holding a BITCOIN WORLD PREMIERE, for producers only. The window to become a producer is open. This is how you can get in on our distribution strategy. Sat-gated. No middleman. Sovereign distribution IS the thesis.

CIA Headquarters inscription: "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Julian Assange: “Now the most interesting thing happening is Bitcoin”

"I'm a critic of America because I seek the best here.

The Bitcoiners on this movie can lead the way for America — which is then supposed to lead the way for the world. Because America has lost her way."

Thank you

for the conversation on

and your support in this experiment.

When he wrote Democracy in America, Alexis de Tocqueville visited the country and saw democratic processes happening in town hall meetings in places like Vermont — direct, unmediated, human. He'd never seen anything like it. This is real democracy, not the crap that is sold to us by the two-party duopoly.

With our sovereign release strategy - community powered - I hope I’d make de Tocqueville proud.

No distributor. No intermediary. Just the work, the audience, and a belief that community can do what industry refuses to.

https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

When I started this film, I basically figured Bitcoin was a pyramid scheme. I'm not embarrassed to say I fell prey to the same kind of curated propaganda that people are also fed about Julian Assange.

Then I met the people in this community.

,

and many more. I saw the alignment between Bitcoiners and WikiLeakers: centralized power is abusive power, and the only solution is to go around them.

That's what this film is about. And that's why it's premiering here, not on Netflix. But we need you to be part of it. Get in at https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

I believe my purpose right now is to do good for two causes: freedom of information, for which Assange has fought, and the freedom tech movement that nostr embodies.

If I keep my eyes on the prize — that's it. Everything else is noise.

June 27. Our first global screening, only for Bitcoin Producers. One price: 0.01 BTC.

I just finished an inspiring discussion with

. To accompany the release of the episode I wanted to share an exclusive teaser with you that touches on the fascinating history between Bitcoin and WikiLeaks.

On Wednesday, I walked onto the Nakamoto Stage with

and showed never-before-seen clips from The Six Billion Dollar Man to a room full of Bitcoiners. The film no American distributor would touch — because Julian Assange is still too hot for legacy media to handle.

This is the start of a new era of film distribution. No intermediary. No permission. Just the work and the people it was made for. Join the party at https://thesixbilliondollarman.com

Hey Nostr I’m Eugene Jarecki.

I’ve spent three decades making films about things the system doesn’t want you to know. The drug war. The military-industrial complex.

This year I finished a film about Julian Assange called “The Six Billion Dollar Man”. It won Cannes and a Golden Globe. But legacy media / streamers won’t touch it. So together with

I am cutting out the gatekeepers and paving a new way forward.

I’ve been told Nostr is the place for freedom lovers. Happy to be here.
