I guess they liked the cash they received from re-introducing the 940.
No matter if firearms are useful tools, they are markers of freedom. Invariably those who are against guns are found against freedom.

Looks like Ruger suspending production of a bunch of products may be real. Apparently Harvey leaked an embargo, which opens on Sunday.
I'm a little disappointed for the PCCs, but perhaps they'll use this an opportunity to introduce a competitive PCC, perhaps a delayed blowback version of the LC.

Wilson Bulwark Hmm. Keep in mind that FN Reflex is similarly hammer-fired.

I find it notable that Nutn isn't bothered by the recoil of a 9mm in Taurus 905 at all.
If Magpul can make magazines for P365, someone ought to make better magazines for M1 Carbine.
Beretta Jag looks intriguing tbh

Scorpion OOB was a far more interesting issue than I imagined. And it turns out that Scorpion is far safer against OOB than AR9 (unfortunately, the consequences are much worse, if it does happen after all).
I applaud Erdogan's prank, but why start off by cloning a Python of all things?

Stop scaring me, Hop He's making some good points though.

Hickok45 on SW22 Victory This gun is discontinued BTW.
It's way past time that makers of automatic pistols stopped using proprietary magazines.
They should be doing this:
Large pistol with large trigger guard: Beretta 92 magazines Large pistol with small trigger guard: Glock magazines Small pistols: SIG P365 magazines
This is it. Everyone else should conform.
Man, Turks clone EVERYTHING. Here's a clone of XD:

Was camping and my neighbor at the next site was an owner of a cottage gun accessory company too.
The product set is somewhat, shall I say, pedestrian. However, I was very impressed by his readiness to take a risk with the capital. He puts down the money to produce things in large batches (of thousands) at wholesale and/or factory price, then sells them retail.
I never could take such risk, even if it's ordinary in business. We make things in batches of 6 to 10, then sell. The only outlays we make are for tools and equipment.

I'm quite interested in the Gen 4 XD. I don't have much of an excuse to obtain one unfortunately.

The timing is pretty poor for me, because this is the time of intense work in the garden. Also I'm quite rusty. I've been to these classes before and they require to be on the ball.

Ruger removed the American pistol from their website today. Cannot say I didn't see it coming.
But does surprise me a little that they continue to sell Max-9. They even announced new models recently.

CZ brought out new production CZ 92 in .25 Auto (or 7.65). Could a Mauser 1914 reproduction be far behind?

The Pirate Pistol

Boomer wisdom that actually works and may be worth learning.
KelTec PR-3AT had been announced a few hours ago

The lengthened receiver of the new FN SCAR is giving it a SIG MCX-like look. However neither of them have anything on the HK G3 in that department.
Seen on Facebook:
"223/556 has never been legal here in Indiana until this year. Shot my first deer with my Henry Lone Ranger tonight, wow, what a destructive round. It definitely did the job. Love my Henry’s"
So many idiots made the claims about .223 being un-suitable for deer, it's ridiculous. I can kill a deer with a 9mm for crying out loud. It's not a Cape Buffalo. Not even a Moose.

Someone posted a Taurus 380UL with Titanium cylinder on forums. I had no idea Taurus made one of those. I presume it's not a made-from-scratch cylinder. Imagine machining Titanium at home!

Received a reply from TK about my query about machining a Kimber K6 for 9mm. They say that because of its unique mechanical design, machining the cylinder on a K6 is likely to make it go out of time. So they do not do it.

Finally a conventional slide for Ruger Max-9. Should've made one from the start.
So it turns out that the recent flap on the social media was a last-ditch effort to sabotage the M7.

Holy shit that roll pin at the end. People give SIG crap for the fiddly bits in P320, but this screw-up is on another level.
Quite a few of people who are supposed to know Mosin-Nagant fail to realize that the secondary magazine spring is critically important for the function of the interruptor.

Urge to buy a P239 is rising. But unfortunately, factory magazines are still easy to find. So I don't have an excuse of getting a library gun for the magazine business.

Check out what our buddy
was cooking at X:
Just saw a post by a guy whose Walther P22CA broke a slide in half. He says that P22Q has re-designed slides, but Walther cannot phase out P22CA, because it's on California roster. Walther replaces broken slides under warranty.

Hoffman advances some intriguing ideas in a podcast.
I'm mildly curious about Hi-Point AR-15. Is it even possible for anyone to make AR-15 even cheaper?
https://www.czfirearms.com/en-us/products/pistols/cz-shadow-2-series/cz-shadow-2-carry
The new CZ Shadow 2 Carry with decocker and firing pin block seems like potentially a good option, if you're a man enough to carry a compact (I'm not).

The only Mosin I have is the so-called "M59" cut-down on a 1942 Izhevsk receiver for a 1891/30. When I bought it, I knew nothing and it was cheap. Back then, M59 had no value, because the military provenance is destroyed on them. However, over time people started looking for them and their price increased, because of the mystery of their origin.
You see, all the M59 are made to a uniform specification, and there were a lot of them, upwards of 200,000. Maybe half a million even. They were clearly produced by a major arms factory. But to this day, nobody knows who made them, and who was the importer in the U.S..
You'd think ATF would know, but here's a thing: M59 are not marked with importer marks, which were required since 1968. Someone shipped half a million guns into the U.S., bypassed all the legal processes, and then distributed them to major retailers (I bought mine in Big 5 Sporting Goods). Isn't it amazing?
Some of M59s have Bulgarian cartouche on their stocks, so there's a suspicion that Arsenal did it (give it to Bulgarians to name an arsenal "Arsenal". It's probably located on the Street street). But there's no proof.
This wasn't that long ago. The people involved into this operation are likely still alive. But they aren't telling.

Del-Ton is shutting down. They sent this:
"As Del-Ton prepares to close its doors, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the incredible people who have been part of our journey."
They are closing under control and not getting shut down by tax lien like SCCY.

What a weird design. Frankly I'm impressed with the 3D people producing own design culture that goes beyond of trying to clone legacy guns[1]. Took them a decade though.

KelTec are teasing what appears to be a Sub2k in 10mm.
One funny part is, several commenters ask for SUB2000 in 5.7, apparently unaware that it was shipping since the fall of 2024.

I scarcely can imagine how hardy the men of 1990s were. Imagine carrying a 1911, even a Commander sized one, or a SIG P220. But they did!
Spurned on by Nutnfancy, I looked at the prices for the 5.7. It stacks like this (disregarding the absolutely cheapest transient deals):
5.7: 64 cpr .223: 50 cpr 9mm: 24 cpr
It does need to come down at least a little under .223/5.56.
That notch is clever, if it works. No need to change the catch, unlike Shield Arms. And if it's patented, Shield Arms cannot use it.

I sold the Glock that is my avatar. Now that I'm free of Glocks, I need to get rid of a bunch of accessories, chiefly magazines. I guess they're going to eBay, although it's pretty much not worth the trouble. Who in their right mind would buy used magazines when new ones are 20 bucks? The shipping adds another $5 at the very least.
Existence of Ruger 10/22 implies existence of Ruger 10/45.
Received 36 Glock magazine catch springs from Lone Wolf.

Hammer-Striker posted and update regarding the magazine compatibility. And it turns out that Hellcat and P365 use the same magazine.
