Tried out the Ponytail skill today and I was blown away!
It writes and audits code like a senior developer, cutting out unnecessary bloat and preventing junk code from creeping in.
And since I started using it, EVERY single GitHub Actions check has passed!

I had a lot of fun auditing it with the Ponytail skill.

I’ve been playing the first Prince of Persia lately, the Sega Genesis version.
I never finished it as a kid. I didn’t have a computer at home when I first got into the game and years later, when I finally managed to emulate it, I was too busy playing games like Mortal Kombat. 😅
This game is so difficult. I’m following a YouTube walkthrough and using save states, which weren’t an option back then. (Kids abroad had access to magazines with walkthroughs and advice from other players, but this wasn't a thing back in Iran.)
I’m on level 10 now, with only 10 minutes left before the timer runs out.
I have so much respect for the kids who actually finished this game back then!

Recently, we watched Frequency (2000), a time-travel thriller from back when Yahoo! was still a thing and its stock actually had value. Watching it itself felt a little like time travel.
I usually hate time-travel films. As soon as time travel enters the story, I start looking for reasons it can’t work. If it were possible, wouldn’t someone from the future have visited us by now? And then there’s the butterfly effect and, more particularly, the grandfather paradox, which makes it IMPOSSIBLE!
Still, I had a great time with this one. The story unfolds masterfully, then pulls you in before you notice how invested you are. The writing is clever, the acting is excellent, and the suspense really pulls you in.
Spoiler: I especially liked that when the past changes, the character’s memories of the present change too. I don’t see that handled often and it felt like a smart choice. The movie also gets that changing shit in the past should affect the present. What I can’t figure out, though, is why the baseball results they predict stay the same, no matter what else changes!
The cast is full of talented actors and the crime story works even if time travel usually isn’t your thing. It’s central to the movie, sure, but it isn’t the only reason to watch.
I'd give it 7/10. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆) #film #cinema #filmstr #filmreview #movies

I took some rough notes after today's jiu-jitsu class, fed them to ChatGPT, and asked it to polish them.
The screenshot shows what I got.
You might not recognize the app I'm using to track my BJJ training and daily workouts, because that's also something I vibe-coded with AI.
Strange times, innit? 😅🥹

The Lawnmower Man had great potential. They fucked it up. I think there should be wave of people rewriting old messed up stories. I'm toying with the idea of re-writing the scenario, but not fucking it up. Seriously!

I was focused on other things and hadn't had much time for vibe coding lately.
In the meantime, I heard about a tool called Agentation that lets you annotate specific parts of a GUI and explain what needs to change, instead of writing lengthy prompts trying to describe which button or element you're referring to.
Today, I finally got back to vibe coding. My first mission was to figure out how to install Agentation and get it working, only to discover that Codex already has this functionality built in!
I'm officially a Codex fanboy now!

Today, we went to a violin competition. Watching the musicians play, I felt the same admiration and envy I have always felt toward people who can make music.
I wanted to be one of them once. I began my self-funded music education as an adult, around the age of 24. A few years later, I left Iran and music was one of the things I had to leave behind. Still, I kept telling myself that I would return to it someday, even if that meant starting again in my forties or later.
But something shifted today.
I realized that I can be content with enjoying someone else's musical ability. I will probably never play like the musicians I watched. They have spent much of their lives becoming this good. They have built themselves around their craft. Even becoming a decent amateur would demand more time and focus than I may ever want to give it.
For a long time, admitting that felt like giving up. Now it feels more like accepting who I am.
There are things I have pursued with the same depth, things I may understand or do at a level that is uniquely mine. My life has been shaped by ADHD, varied interests, and all the strange rabbit holes I have followed. I may not have devoted myself to one instrument, but I have built myself too, just in a different direction.
My musical education was short-lived, but it was not wasted. It opened a door to classical music that might otherwise have remained closed. It taught me how to listen more closely and gave me a deeper appreciation for what musicians are doing when they play.
So I am going to let musicians be musicians and I am going to be what I am.
I can accept that I may never become a musician. I can keep watching other people play, admiring them, and even envying them. That envy might even deepen my sense of amazement and admiration.

Bella Ciao’s melody is most certainly inspired by “Koilen,” recorded in 1919 by Russian-born Romani-American accordionist Mishka Ziganoff.
“Koilen” comes from the traditional Yiddish song “Dus Zekele Koilen” (“The Little Bag of Coal”).

Our bathroom walls were covered in black mold. I asked ChatGPT what would remove it, then had it find the right spray in a Polish online shop and translate the instructions.
I ordered it, followed the directions, and the mold was gone in no time.
We live in an amazing time, innit?

With a multi-vendor multisig setup, you can sleep soundly through this constant turmoil. Several things would have to fail before your funds were affected and the probability of all those components failing simultaneously is far lower than the risk posed by a single point of failure.
Multi-sig is relatively easy to set up with Bitcoin. For other cryptocurrencies, multisig is either more complicated or maybe impossible.

True! Traditional Persian carpets were handmade and imperfect. When I was a child, factory-made carpets were on the market. Flawless but cost a fraction of the handmade ones. The imperfections were part of what made them premium!

My wife listens to a lot of true-crime podcasts and I’m amazed by how many murderers have literally Googled things like “how to kill someone without leaving a trace” or “how to get rid of a corpse,” seemingly unaware that these can be easily found in their Google account’s history.
In this case, she may genuinely have been planning to commit a crime. But it also highlights how complacent we’ve become about privacy. We readily share our credentials with AI and upload our personal notes to the cloud without stopping to consider what that really means: if something is in the cloud, it is, in fact, stored on someone else’s computer.
Personal notes are, by definition, personal. You probably don’t want the world to know about your most vulnerable feelings or your wildest fantasies.
And if you’re writing a crime story, perhaps don’t keep notes such as “how to dispose of a corpse” in a cloud-based app. If you’re not technically savvy, for millennia, great writers managed perfectly well with pencil and paper.

In Polish, when you don't have something, you use the genitive (dopełniacz) instead of the accusative (biernik). (It's an oversimplification, but bear with me.)
If you have a book: "Mam książkę." (Accusative.) If you don't: "Nie mam książki." (Genitive.)
Interestingly, this rule still applies even if the verb is positive but implies not having something:
"Szukam książki." (Genitive.)
Because if you had it, why would you be looking for it? Makes sense to me. So far, so good.
But if you lose all your money, you go back to using the accusative! "Straciłem wszystkie pieniądze."
What could possibly convey "not having something" more clearly than having lost all your money?

It is astonishing to write an article about Iran and not once mention that the Iranian Regime massacred over 40,000 of its own people in January over 2 days. Or to include analysis of what the Iranian people think and want. The release this week of 8 hours of footage by @manototv shows the scale and horror but also the heroism. What @NickKristof and other liberal commentators fail to understand is the people in Iran won’t stop until this regime is gone. This isn’t about Trump or Netanyahu but freedom. The Regime is weak and increasingly divided and there will be another uprising. The question is whose side are progressives on?

If the international community truly understood the gravity of the Islamic Republic sentencing Ali Zarei to death, gave his case the attention it deserved, and created real political and diplomatic costs for the regime, that pressure alone could help make the Iranian people’s path toward democracy considerably easier.
Sadly, we live in a world where the price of gas seems to cause more international concern than the lives of Iranians!

Reza Mostafaei, a disabled street vendor in Iran, has been summoned by the Islamic Republic judiciary on charges of "propaganda against the regime."
Following the summons, this courageous activist noted that the regime had previously blocked his Instagram account for speaking out about the fallen heroes of Iran's January uprising, emphasizing in a message: "I am a soldier of Iran and its Shah!"

Costco has kept its hot dog and soda at $1.50 since 1985. 🌭
Keeping that promise has meant constantly finding ways to cut costs. The price has stayed the same. But what would you say about the quality?
Now imagine a coffee shop making a similar promise on a Bitcoin standard: 10,000 sats a cup. ☕️
As technology and productivity improve, you'd be able to serve better coffee at the same price. Over time, you'd be able to sell that same high-quality coffee for 5k sats.
Instead of struggling to keep prices from rising, you'd compete to improve quality and bring prices down.
That's the power of deflation!

Then drop that image into your app's project chat and tell it to use the image’s color palette as the design reference.
