While Halloween has come and gone, we can still enjoy the cuteness of the many outfits and appearances from the day. Lots of lovely wife in different costumes. Heading on towards the seasons of food and festivities is good to look forward to as well, lots of relaxing time.

Former Hell isn't exactly a place to go trick or treating, but that wont stop the pets or Koishi from trying. All Satori can do is hope nothing goes wrong in the process. Thankfully most wouldn't dare mess with the mistress of Chireiden, though it's still worrying what may happen. Doesn't help that the only treats most have to give out in Former Hell are various forms of sake. The last thing Satori wants to deal with is the others all being drunk.

A spooky day is here, full of scares and candy. Lots of costumes to be seen. Gensokyo is of course full of people enjoying such a day, though very few actually achieve many scares. Surely a party has been scheduled at the Scarlet Devil Mansion for such a powerful time. No matter what, make sure to have treats on hand to avoid some worrying tricks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y4iByh879Q DA☆N☆GO! I like this one quite a bit, it's got such a comedic yet vaguely spooky style to it. Pumpkin rabbit.

https://mangadex.org/title/f7613bb0-c6b3-486a-8673-434069185e21/touhou-koakuma-san-goshimei-irimashita-doujinshi Simple and enjoyable little tale of Koakuma being dragged into dressing up.

Is this face pretty? Pomade? No, you can’t just say pomade and run away. Kokoro hardly cares that she’s breaking the rules of the urban legends, any excuse to fight and have fun is good enough for her. At least, so long as she doesn’t have to deal with Koishi. The closed eye satori is a bit too much for Kokoro to handle, especially after losing the first mask of hope to her. All she really needs is to scare people for the season anyway. No, I’m not going to talk about her skirt being considered a “pumpkin skirt.”

https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm35869106 This track is extremely silly, I love it. Also a bit of Koishi, of course.

Of course the fairies would love Halloween. It's a time where dressing up and demanding sweets, or playing pranks, is considered normal. There's rarely anything more exciting to a fairy than being allowed pranks. There's a chance even if you do offer treats they'll still play pranks regardless mind. These girls are rather simpleminded.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1krXk_SyCaM Good news, TouhouDB has a Halloween tag. Some vaguely spooky fairy music. Not that you can really make fairies spooky. Scariest thing about fairies is how easily they seem to draw in human men.

Reiuji Utsuho, a very cute and radioactive hell raven. She never really expected this power nor did she realize it would ever happen, but she now holds part of Yatagarasu's spirit within her. She's very much a bird brain, poor girl struggles with anything at this point that isn't involving the maintenance of the Hell of Blazing Fires and the nuclear fusion reactor. She cares a lot about her family in Chireiden, to the point she may get a bit dangerous if she ever worries about them being threatened. That's not helped by the fact her bird brain has a difficult time actually figuring out what to consider a threat.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mxpCgVE_4c I have to, it's a classic. ☢ WARNING! ☢ WARNING! ☢ Seriously love this track, probably my favorite of the entire NJK Record discography. High energy, only fitting for Okuu.

https://mangadex.org/title/42ea091a-03af-45f1-9365-ca80fd607ddd/touhou-kaku-netsu-yugo-prominence-doujinshi An Okuu anthology, I think most of these are pretty good stories. A few downers or darker ones, but for the most part there's a lot of hits. Chapters 6 and 11 particularly are especially good ones.

Nothing like some lovely cuteness to calm the mind. Hoping to see lots of cute costumes and outfits on the wife for Halloween.

Of course in such a season of spooky events, Sekibanki would be trying to scare people still. How well that’s working out is up for debate. She’s certainly having more success than some such as the umbrella, but in the end it’s hard to be too scared of a girl who appears cute. Of course, she doesn’t think of herself as cute so she has a hard time getting that.

Really, what is a shut-in mind reader to do? Surely she has grand ideas and novel outfits, but such things aren't really her style to share. She'll just sit around and enjoy them on her own. At least, she'd hope so. Koishi seems a bit too keen on sharing her sister's works.

A bit of an odd post for me but the existence of this game pisses me off. Car Park Capital is a tycoon game stylized after games like Rollercoaster Tycoon, and it apes the style very well. That's all.

The problem is, it doesn't do anything else right. The game is a superficial commentary on car dependency. One that is downright insulting. I'm not a big fan of car dependency myself, it was a mistake and while cars can be cool they absolutely should not have taken over life. This game however assumes the player is too dumb to get that message, and so it occasionally guts its own possible mechanical depth and so on in order to make sure the message is front and center. One of the first things the game teaches the player is how to access a "propaganda menu" to buy "car propaganda" in order to turn people into "carbrained people." The game at no point wants to actually let the player think, it's all just trying to put front and center that cars are bad. The satire loses its luster in mere second and from then on becomes grating.

The game being bad isn't really what pisses me off though. It's the fact the developer intentionally kneecapped a game that could've been good because he had to make absolutely 100% certain nobody could ever dare think this game was about anything other than cars being bad. The fundamentals of a way better and more interesting game are there. The idea of buying out land to replace it with car parks would do a good job of hitting the player with realizations of how fucked everything is. It's such a small and easy fix that would solve the vast majority of the game's issues. Let the player have the sandbox and let the actions in the sandbox speak for themselves.

Do you trust a tube fox? She may be hiding her identity within the costumes of the season, the feelings of dressing up. Who knows, maybe she's decided to take you home next week, on Halloween night? A devious trick that only a fox could think up.

A season for play is a season any fairy would greatly love. Dressing up, enjoying harvests. What more could the girls ask for? Especially helps to get lots of candy, fairies are quite happy getting sweets, snacks, and alcohol.

I think I might need some extra restraint from using image editors, I get too caught up on needless projects like this. I just wanted to throw together a simple test skin for a car game and next thing I know I'm an hour or two deep into tinkering with Krita (I would not use GIMP if you held me at gunpoint to do so, and paint.NET isn't really cut out for psd files). :thinkinghrr:

Boundless cuteness, love Suwako endlessly. Definitely want to see her dress up in all sorts of outfits for the season. Always fun.

Ah, it appears Kosuzu is extra excited. While cute, that's a very bad sign. It means she's obtained some form of mystical book. Likely written in a language unknown to humanity. Reading it can have nothing but consequences. Sadly Kosuzu doesn't care, her desire to read and collect special books outweighs her fear or sense of danger. She'd try to defeat all the youkai in Gensokyo on her own if it meant getting just one more book.

It's a season of many spooky and scary things but fairies aren't the kind to mind. They'll play their tricks and try to scare others, then run off as if it never mattered. It's just how fairies are. Odd little girls. Of course, fairies can't handle being scared so it's best not to try pulling something on them. Might end up getting hit by some danmaku.

After some talks with Konami, it looks like the devs for Vampire Survivors finally got the rights to release all of the original Castlevania arranges made for Ode to Castlevania in the OST. A truly wondrous moment. The DLC was top tier on all fronts, and the arranges are all insanely worth it. A whopping 48 tracks from all across the series. The OST's price wasn't even increased, it's still only $3 without a sale. There is a warning that the tracks could vanish at some point if Konami decides to make licensing a bitch, but since they're just files (both mp3 and FLAC) it doesn't matter. Can easily make copies.

Also find it kind of funny this is happening as Belmont's Curse was just released. This feels like a way bigger and more meaningful release, even though it's just the OST for a DLC that's been out a while now. In my mind this DLC was a perfect sendoff, a loving acknowledgement that the series has long since ended but it was a great run. Belmont's Curse meanwhile feels like an attempt to make the series into something else for the sake of artificially keeping it "alive" and "modern." That's somewhat concerning that the game that plays more like an actual Castlevania title resonates far less with the rest of the series than something made for Vampire Survivors.

:ina_lownod: The singular Shion shop was apparently all that was needed to win. Just gotta buy a Shion doll and lots of trash. Maybe I'll finally get up to hardness level 10 soon, and there I can suffer.

Frankly, it's difficult to write about the perverted old hag of the backdoors. She's a dangerous and old secret god, and also one of the sages of Gensokyo. Okina is definitely aiming to be a god in the most menacing manner. The kind who gives great favor to those she likes, and destroys those she doesn't. She loves the performative acts, big reveals. She's kind of hard to get on with. Her power is one difficult to match, as is only fitting for one of the sages. If she takes a liking to you, it might be best to try turning her down as nicely as possible. She might not listen, but at least you'll have a shot. If she doesn't (or you accept for some reason), expect to know little peace as Okina has many ideas of how to have fun.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuRSEdEOzZU Not sure if it's quite my favorite arrange of Hidden Star in All Seasons, but it is a good one. Personally also just enjoy posting it for the absurdity of having a loli Okina image. Such an image for one who is very much a hag. Silly.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/behind_the_door Okina doesn't want to deal with someone who might've known her before she was recognized as a god. Quite a problem, that.

So, for the sake of having pinned posts with all the art in one place for easy access, summary posts for the four girls. This also will allow me to make sure the images stay up and organized with more ease. Artist credits will be in the alt text. Without wasting any more time, the more reserved sisters.

Chisana Tatsuta: A mess of an otaku lolicon loli lamia (straight, of course). Overall very small, with a little bit of thigh meat that helps accommodate the tail. Shut-in. Wont leave the three rooms in the back of her mansion. Struggles to converse with new people. Conversation is stilted and quiet in general. Passionate to a fault on anything that activates her as a nerd. Smart, in the sci-fi sense that she can make just about anything she puts her mind to. However she is not a super-genius, reading people or making large-scale plans are both beyond her. Technically provides for the living expenses through selling stuff she's come up with, though she doesn't handle sales. Not the oldest, but possibly a bit older than she appears. Likes sci-fi shows, anime, manga, LNs, games, and hardware. Lives in mansion, but only ever in master bedroom, her lab directly connected to the bedroom, or the master bathroom likewise connected to the bedroom (with custom large bath and shower for her to fit her tail). Personal laptop preference: Rugged 2-in-1 devices (though she'll enjoy playing with anything, unique laptops are fun).

Lynette Tatsuta: Cold and direct loli doll maid. Thin and small. Chisana's sister. Wishes Chisana would stop being so controlled by her fetishes, and calls her sister 'master' as a method of teasing Chisana for providing the doll with maid outfits. Very skilled in all manner of daily task and combat. Ensures she puts her all into everything she does. Will sometimes coldly tease Chisana, though she cares deeply for her sister and would never leave her. The only one who regularly visits any towns or cities on Earth, mostly for grocery shopping. Also makes sure to handle selling and profits from anything Chisana has made that reasonably could be sold. Head maid for any other maids that join the mansion. Enjoys lighter firearms, such as handguns and PDWs/SMGs. Secretly also a big nerd. Lives in mansion, her bedroom is directly adjacent to Chisana's. Personal laptop preference: Dual screen laptop with detachable keyboard.

https://archiveofourown.org/works/94127661 And a sort of romance story for these two in particular. Not the best writing I've done, but it's something.

Cute, cute, cute. I'm just happy to see her continuously cute face, even as the season grows colder. Lots of warmth to be had admiring the cuteness of this goddess. Maybe even some cuddling.

Some may stand in awe of Satori's cuteness, for it is overpowering. Just don't let her realize that you may feel such a thing, as Satori isn't cut out for people thinking nice things about her. Those kinds of thoughts really shut her down.

Chen! The shikigami's shikigami. A childish bakeneko who takes her job and her role seriously, but she's not all that good at most of it. Any minor thing will get her distracted and she'll lose the powers gained upon the shikigami state. It's not all too surprising that a cat would be this way, the girl is mostly used to living along with cats. This makes her a bit hard to deal with. Still, Chen is cute, and that's enough to keep her around at least.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltHRcXVBmZQ Some nice Shinra-Bansho Chen.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/toho_party_barrel_vol_1 A 4koma doujin with a bit of variety, but mostly a focus on Chen and her unusual situation. Trying to get along as best she can.

It's been a long road, getting from there to here. No, seriously though, I feel there's some immense irony in how long it took to get the first girl some art. She's the one who got me thinking more and more about OC stuff and got me interested in messing around with character creators (well, kinda, I mean I enjoyed being silly with character creators before but that's a different thing).

So, who do we actually have here? Cute shut-in lolicon loli nerd lamia, of course. Chisana's a mess, in all regards. Not great at taking care of herself, definitely stays up far too much late into the night. Spends a lot of time on whatever game or such that catches her interest. She is terrible with people, and socializing, only really able to talk with those she can get used to. Lynette, the doll maid, has to go to great efforts to take care of her. She's pretty smart, though it's not exactly an all-around intelligence. More of the kind where she can make things she gets interested in and will seek deep knowledge as such. The proper all-around genius would involve handling people, handling conversation, a capacity for extremely skillful planning, and the like. Chisana isn't that kind. She's more the kind who could make some weird drug for temporary invisibility or build a strange device for anti-gravity.

Her appearance is really representative of her in so many ways. Long messy hair, eye bags, freckles, a constantly mixed expression. Of course she has to wear glasses. Her clothes are very minimal, baggy shirts and the like, a large lab coat, some simple underwear, and a nice hat (because hats are cute). Not much meat to speak of, though her lower half would be slightly larger since the tail forms there. The watch is pure convenience, she'd definitely lose track of time otherwise. A bulky durable 2-in-1 laptop is cool, so of course she'd want one (she has a proper computer of course, but laptops can be fun).

https://x.com/sachisudesu And our artist for this time is Sachisu, very good artist who mostly does Touhou and some original stuff. Slightly odd but very cute style.

... And, that should be it. In theory. Yet, it seems that's not quite true. We'll be back here, not sure when but at some point. Hopefully soon. There is a reason after all she took so long to get artwork. However that story is for later.

The Child of Miare, the current one maintaining the Gensokyo Chronicle. Hieda no Akyuu. Her work is very important, keeping knowledge of all that exists within the realm of fantasy. With documentation comes memory, and with memory means they can still exist. The youkai value one such as her, but everyone else values her for other reasons. Intelligence is important for teaching. Scarce few people can become her friend proper though. It's hard for most to approach a rich and well known figure, especially when everyone knows about her oddities, the lower lifespan and the ability. Still she's a nice girl who just wants to live a proper life as does anyone else. She's even taken to writing books, a series of murder mysteries by "Agatha Chris Q." How nice.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0bHtqoikH4 It is somewhat difficult to find a proper Akyuu track to post, at least one that isn't full of awful feelings nor a chaotic mess. So Fantasy Maiden Wars, with that FM sound Akyuu loves so much.

https://mangadex.org/title/ca8bfa59-7055-4a6f-882f-e3b55957427b/touhou-soshite-namae-wo-yobutameni-doujinshi Some thoughts on the strange feelings of long and varied lives.

The goddess of marketplaces is here to assert her power. Assuming there is a marketplace at least. Chimata has had a rough go of it over time, with people valuing the actual marketplaces and trade less and less, instead favoring easier and more indirect methods of shopping. To that end, she was made weak. Unable to live. Gensokyo was a reprieve for her, a place where a proper marketplace can still happen frequently. Now with the ability cards having been traded so much and the markets given life, she can enjoy the world once again. She may have accidentally caused a few other incidents as a consequence of what she did, but it'll all work out in the end.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lofUjHGYz1Y An opening of the great market, and a track that's highly important for other reasons besides. The opening to the Sound Fireworks, a celebration of all that has been and all who have contributed over the years. A good album, and this is a good track to represent the feeling of it. This kind of chaotic marketplace is perfect for this cute goddess.

https://mangadex.org/title/7a5a255a-238b-43ec-9bff-472c5ce091ef/touhou-chimahon Chima. Very cute book documenting some struggles of this poor goddess.

The flawless celestial, or so she'd like you to think. A resident of the heavens, able to enjoy the perfect peaches much as she likes. All that is on the surface is boring to her, a mere waste of time, it's all so much better in the heavens. Yet no matter how much she says all of that, her true thoughts can be felt quite easily. She loves the earth's food, the way all of the people of the earth are so unique. A perfect life isn't the one for her. She was given the life of a celestial not by training, but because of a familial connection to another group. She never had the time to prepare herself or take on the celestial mindset. Thus the perfection of the heavens took a toll on her upbringing. She became overly confident and easily bored. Her time on the earth isn't one spent trying to tease people, much as she comes off like that, but instead it's one in which Tenshi wants to find so much to care about.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAVK0H8Ium4 Flawless as Clothing of the Celestials technically isn't a Tenshi theme, but it is a song that plays specifically in relation to her. And it's my favorite track tied to her. There's so much emotion to it, feelings all of amazement, wonder, regrets, and more. It's fitting for Tenshi, a girl brought into the beauty of the heavens who never got to understand why exactly the beauty is there.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_blue_of_the_sky_and_the_true_feeling It's difficult, figuring out what to do. Sometimes the answer may be the one that everyone says is wrong.

Whenever feeling down or stumped, there's no better place to look than the gods. Or at least, I'd think so. Suwako's so cute and nice, could help with near anything. Loving wife.

Just what is it that you dream about, I wonder.

It's a baku, and more specifically the one who rules over the realm of dreams. Doremy Sweet. Her job may seem an easy one, in reality it's anything but. Managing the dream world is hard work, especially when she holds minimal control over the realm. The dream world itself has a mind of its own, twisting shapes and reforming constantly to fit the state of the world's dreams. Worse still, some especially strong spirits can retain form and escape from the dreams in which they are confined. There's nothing worse than an oni or a celestial running around trying to cause chaos, though thankfully under normal operations they can be contained. Doremy puts in a lot of work to keep this all running. Of course at times she may seem a bit smug, but all the dreams she has seen and eaten have given her great insight into those she meets.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm-BNoQr--g Favorite Doremy arrange, I love Narcolepsy. :cirno_dance:

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/daft_detective_doremy Okay, most Doremy doujins are rather depressing affairs with downer conclusions. So instead of subjecting anyone to that, a bit of comedic Doremy. She's not good at this whole detective thing.

Why are humans so weird? A dullahan, a rokurokubi, and a human would find her cute. How strange, how unruly. Sekibanki feels even more justified in being a loner thinking about this. Yes, it’s the strangeness of the concept that is what keeps her distant. Not the worry that she’d start feeling things of her own. Especially not any worry about starting to like romance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSzSQC9iaGM Shh, no I didn’t fuck this up and accidentally hit ctrl+enter when I meant to do shift+enter.

Try as she might, Satori can't restrain herself. The contents of people's minds are just too interesting to pass up. It doesn't matter if it knocks her out, she has to see it. The only problem now is not drawing up traumas. Strange thoughts were never a worry, after all nobody could ever want to love the most hated and despised youkai, or so says Satori. Enjoying a mind reader is unthinkable to her.

Since it is such a fitting season, perhaps the fairies will start going all in on foraging for tasty stuff. Lots of nice mushrooms, nuts, berries, and whatever else all around to snack on. For fairies it's almost a feast, more than enough to supplement the actual feasts and harvest parties that they might show up at and take some food from.

A relatively new day, and it's one for a great girl. A cute chupacabra. Not a chupacabra though. A tenkajin. Regardless, she's real cute. A shut-in with minimal care for the world, she just wants to chill in the Blood Pools of Hell. Always something to snack on there. And when she gets bored, she can just play some games or whatever she's stumbled upon. She's not really mean, but she's also not very sociable either. It's not like she has social anxiety or anything, she just sucks at conversation and thinks the whole idea of it a hassle. Who knows though, she might end up taking a liking to your blood.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crVeAl7cO1s Posted it quite a bit before, but Chiyaleading is great. Good fun from shut-in NEET Chiyari.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_yorigami_sisters_chupacabra_get_rich_quick_scheme Silly chupacabra related scheming and scams, featuring a very confused and worried Chiyari.

Played Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo, mostly just to say I did give the game a chance. Well, it's about as expected. With Japanese voices it's at least not grating on the ears. Really, it doesn't look like Castlevania and it doesn't play like Castlevania, and neither of those are in a way that is justifiable. You can give the PS2 games a lot of slack since they're some of the first attempts to make something of that style with the series. Same for the N64 games. Even then, they're just a bit jank rather than actively trying to redo everything. No screenshots of it because I already wasted enough time on the thing, and Carrie is cute.

What Belmont's Curse does is instead pivot to pure "souls-like" gameplay. There's an immense focus on flow, dodging, annoyingly long bosses, and the such. Bosses are entirely about very rigid dodge and hit maneuvers, no room for creativity, gotta do it exactly the way the devs planned. I thought that would be it though, nope. Turns out there's a healing mechanic ripped straight from those kinds of games as well. Three charges, a few extra can be stored as excess, and that's kind of it. Kind of takes away from what I enjoyed about the Castlevania games focused on exploration, they were always more JRPG-styled than anything else. You'd get piles of weird stuff and could use basically all of it. Here inventory is restricted to only what the devs deemed most important.

Cutscenes unironically look like they're based directly off the Castlevania Netflix series. The visuals in game, while nice, don't look anything like the Castlevania style. They're closer to the kind of stuff you'd see in that other game, Hades. I have no real opinion on Hades and that style may work for that game, but it absolutely does not work for Castlevania. Doesn't really scream horror nor older manga.

I don't have a lot else specific to say, so I'll sum it up simply. It's not at all a good Castlevania game. It doesn't seem like a great game overall. It just seems okay. If you want a game that takes from Dark Souls and Hollow Knight but is not as well executed, go ahead. It's something new and isn't going to be absolutely horrendous. If you want anything else, say a new Castlevania title, I doubt this will be worth it. It just seems like a mindless "hard" game where the difficulty is only in getting down the muscle memory. It's a game where you can tell that it's being made by the Dead Cells devs.

C'mon, you can hold your drink better than that. The pinnacle of the oni's strength is here, and you're not even going to stand your ground? You'd have to be a fool to think that way.

Yuugi Hoshiguma, one of the big four and an oni who chose to stay with Former Hell. Currently she operates as the manager of all business and hot springs in the place, a tough job when you're living with a bunch of idiotic oni. She regularly has to knock some sense into them. As for her personality, she just wants to see you show yourself. No weakness, no hiding, bare your true self to her and try to make a stand for what you believe. Do that, and she'll quickly come to be friendly. Though I'd be careful getting too close, hear that some of the others of the big four have teased her in the past for being too much of a romantic who knows nothing of sensual acts. Even hand-holding might end up dangerous if embarrassment takes over.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HaDuxBu8Tk 伴に歩くその心. I've posted it oh so many times, but I do genuinely just really love the track and love what it represents vocally and in sound. It is Yuugi, putting you in the spotlight. Prove to her that you're someone who is worth standing by her side. She has no need for physical strength, this is about your mentality.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/with_a_smile It's how an oni does everything in life. Face the problems head on and when things go bad, smile. Just another challenge to face.

What time is more fitting for such a goddess than the fall? She might not provide much to the season, but that's fine. It's a fun time to play regardless. Weather cooling down and all the changes to the scenery. I'd love to watch her jumping around all the leaves, it seems like it'd be real fun.

It's only natural for such a girl to stay up late, nobody can deny the desires of the mistress of Chireiden. Few want to deal with a mind reader to begin with, and there's no reason for anyone to take issue with her reading books until the early morning. Sure, Orin wont be happy, but there's little she can do about it when Okuu is dragging her around. All that remains is to hope the younger sister doesn't show up.

It's not as if an oni needs a reason to drink, but a weekend is a good enough excuse as any. Laugh and be merry, enjoy the feeling of the drinks. Sharing these feelings with others is the pinnacle of living. Any point to a life where you can't drink, complain, laugh and fight with the people around you?

The fox of course also wants to enjoy the beauty of the coming season, though it seems she's not quite satisfied with that. All this food and all the scenery requires more than a mere simple tube fox. How convenient then that she's approached you with enough food to provide for two and plans that seem to always lead to intimacy. It's as if she's trying to force something.

Of course the fairies would never turn up a chance to be active during the fall. All these upcoming harvests mean great amounts of food and lots of parties being hosted. It's a prime opportunity for fairies to get involved, preforming pranks and taking whatever they like.

Since I got reminded of Mystia’s Izakaya, some bonus stuff that I didn’t do during my main play through but came to mind and so I’ve done now. Game really does have an absurd amount of content for what it costs.

First, Froggy Coins. Collecting and holding 100 Silver Froggy Coins grants a special outfit and a Golden Froggy Coin. Holding is emphasized because you cannot spend them, this isn’t a lifetime count. It is only counting held coins. That wasn’t a problem before updates and DLC, but with updates and DLC Silver Froggy Coins actually have a use to buy old event items and DLC music. You can only get at most 8 coins a day, with 4 coming from the Moriya branch shrine and a possible additional 4 coming from a special DLC shop added in DLC 5 (but that requires unlocking and obtaining special currency). Interacting with the shrine also takes 30 minutes each time, so it’s really difficult to justify doing even with the possible bonuses you can get from it. I definitely spent over 100 coins myself before I realized I needed to hold them. Pain.

The other thing is gap maps. If you make sure to keep up donations to the Hakurei Shrine, you unlock an alternate form of travel where money is used instead of time. This is possibly one of the most useful unlocks in the entire game, and it’s so easy to miss. Again, you can only donate once a day and your options are 100 yen, 500 yen, and 1000 yen. It can take a while.

With the fall arriving, and the greater amount of night, the werewolf will of course see more activity. What more to give energy to a werewolf than the moon? Speaking of, the werewolf herself. Kagerou isn't much of a traditional werewolf. She hides herself away in the bamboo forest, making minimal contact with others. A little anti-social, though she just seems anxious about what others would think of her. She does still put in her best effort, helping with the Grassroots Youkai Network. Be cautious around her of course, if ever she is in heat you might be in danger. Even if she'll end up regretting her actions the next morning, she can't exactly control herself in the moment.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bot8vVokpwM DANCE with WOLVES. Simple really. I love this track since I've heard it, it's so good. Funky and full of dancing. As she sings, she's gonna take you far away. For fun, the Tim Vegas re-edit. Because who doesn't want an extra 3 minutes of wolf music? The base version is very good also.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/a_bewildered_shadow_wolf It's Kagerou dealing with a lot of weirdos. Not that there's exactly anyone in Gensokyo who isn't a weirdo.

Not quite the exact time, but the time is still fitting enough. After all, it's the seasonal change to fall. The season of harvest, the season of falling colorful leaves. The air gets colder and the days will start to get shorter. And so, the Aki sisters arrive. Minoriko happily goes around to all, helping bless the harvests. Meanwhile Shizuha remains in her more lonely state, painting the leaves alone and kicking the trees to knock them down. Sadly the latter mostly only gets recognized by the former, but the sisters still enjoy life. It's part of the seasons, and few get to say they're part of the changing seasons.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTKqY7HDH0s Really good Kairo track with both of the girl's themes. Perfect for welcoming the season. Fall arrives, and fall will leave. But we can enjoy it regardless, the ephemeral beauty of the season.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/abundance A very cute doujin, the Aki sisters wish to show off in a harvest festival. Not much to it, but sometimes a cute doujin where you get to admire the characters is good enough.

It's a wonderful thing to be calm within the world. Far too easy to lose composure, get into conflict. Cute goddess that I love here holds strong to herself, avoids conflict as much as possible beyond some fun sparring. Just one of the many aspects of her I can't get enough of.

First proper attempt, about the same as my usual despite being out of practice. Reached Patchy, and I still have an issue with not using bombs. :cirno_shrug:

What's wrong? Gonna keep holding your head down? That's not how an oni would want you to do things. Cheer up, be merry. Have a drink. You're not going to last if you keep this up. If Suika herself is here to cheer you on and believes wholeheartedly in the value of humanity, then who are you to oppose her?

You may think to yourself as you witness Satori, surely a mind reader couldn't be such a pushover? While it is true she's quite capable when it comes to reading minds and bringing out traumas, she's not exactly great at handling any of the physical strain of the world or even her own ability. Nor is she good with memories that aren't of the simplest type. Poor girl's smugness is a little misplaced.

There's still time yet until the seasons change proper, and as such there's still plenty of time for the fairies to enjoy playing with no restraint. You never know what their play might entail, so it's best to enjoy the ride. A few innocent pranks are worth enjoying that brilliance the fairies seem to always have.

23rd, huh? Not bad, though not much movement regardless. I doubt the cute goddess would mind much though, frivolous rankings of that manner are less meaningful than faith. And in my mind, she still will eternally be the top spot.

We have a winner. Though victory in the polls means not much, it's still nice to see and celebrate. Satori of course is proud of her sister for managing to pull off such a victory. For Koishi, being seen by so many and being able to be friends with them all is surely wonderful.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZmjPJ8MdvU To go with the victory, some Danmaku Heroism. Such a fun lively track.

She’s popping back up again, that dangerous fox. Trying to sneak into your home. Sex fox will not take no for an answer.

More joyous girls of nature. It's quite enjoyable to watch them fly around freely, never knowing what the girls might do next. Perhaps a few more pranks are in order.

So since we're practically finished with it (minus the last episode but if you know anything about this series the last episode might as well be a bullet to the head and we're going to watch it anyways), some thoughts on the last piece of Star Trek media I'm really willing to watch.

Honestly expected worse of Enterprise. It doesn't get talked about as much and whenever I did end up hearing about it the feelings were always mixed at best. In my opinion though, years on and giving it a fair shot, the series is pretty good. It doesn't match the absolute peaks of some of the rest of what had come out of Star Trek, but I mostly enjoyed it the full way through and it did feel like a proper caring attempt to showcase the first Enterprise, before the United Federation of Planets, back when it was still just the Earth Federation. There are some complaints and issues you can definitely raise with continuity but it never really felt like the series was spitting in the face of Star Trek continuity, just trying as hard as possible to work with a franchise where the existence of a continuity was debatable at best in the first series and took a while to get established after the fact.

The actual NX-01 Enterprise itself is a ship I find pretty enjoyable. The thing is held together with sticks and glue, Starfleet genuinely slapped together whatever LCD screens they had access to onto a star ship. It's full of that feeling of just trying to get it to work, and being wildly surprised that it even does. Technologies like the universal translator are barely out of the testing phase.

The series also had a lot more focused plots, and of those I definitely feel mixed. The Temporal Cold War was kind of boring, the problem being our main cast has no real method of impacting the thing because it's a war between people using time travel. There were good moments with it, but whenever it was focused I felt a little checked out. Another recurring plot element I did like though was Vulcans as "antagonists." Throughout the series the Vulcans are still trying to help Earth establish their peaceful Federation, and the entire time the logically minded space elves are being subjected to endless humanity. They're never outright evil* (there's a few questionable things here and there) but instead it's a lot of Vulcans trying to plead to Starfleet to stop letting Enterprise do every foolish thing imaginable. Any time plots involved Andorians was great fun, especially since most of those episodes featured Jeffrey Combs. There's a lot more stuff like the Xindi war, honestly it was pretty good overall. Very much a war in the proper style of Trek instead of trying to dazzle with huge space battles.

Our main cast is pretty good, not going to dig too deep into everyone since this is already too long a post. Very unprepared people doing the best they can to be professional. Never ditches that ideal thankfully, could've easily turned to shit.

Oh, and I guess I should mention. The opening. This is actually the thing most know about the series. Yes, it has a cheesy kind of unfitting opening. I have Faith of the Heart stuck in my head actually now, but I have no idea what anyone was thinking pulling this. At least it's vaguely fitting of a song instead of using whatever pop hit or such track was around.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9u9JKcmJmY I'm not able to find any images related to Enterprise specifically. Take this instead.

...This is a bit of a thing. So as before, I wanted to revamp Gigin a bit in order to get her a character sheet and give her more unique traits. This kinda got weirdly sidelined . I may have gone overboard. Anyways, she's here now.

So as before, she's a very proud dwarf with a ditzy attitude to life when it comes to most things. Though she's also a harpy mix, leading to the feathered wings and the talon legs. Her dwarf blood offers a bit more of a human structure to her hands. And of course, as part dwarf, she partakes in great amounts of drinking and the likes, giving a decent plumpness to her body. For a loli she's got quite a bit of meat overall, very small and extremely plump. She's real light on clothing since she mostly wants to be able to move around easily no matter where she is (regardless of how the plumpness causes problems with that). She's also still got her fancy headset goggles to be able to navigate easily no matter where she is. Plus a tan variant as she seems the type to get involved in any amount of weird things, your choice of an actual tan or whatever else. Her drill hairs have been reduced, but she's gotten the ones she has extra sharpened and been given more volume as proper "drill" hairs.

As for some other personality aspects, she's been deeply invested in exploring the skies and other planets for places to mine (even if exploration isn't a very dwarven trait). That harpy blood has given her great desires to see as much as she could. She still gets dragged around by Alice of course, but that's a small deal compared to all she gets to see.

https://x.com/ThatNav Artist once again is Nav. Very good artist. He thankfully put up with my very lacking communication skills to see this through. Feel like I was a lot worse at communicating ideas this time than with Alice.

Of course that dullahan would be out on a night such as this. While she's hardly one for most interactions or scaring people, it's fun to do from time to time. Just gotta hide by a small waterway, waiting for some unsuspecting soul to pass by. Surely this cool dullahan's face is good for scaring people.

...Am I missing something? Surely not. Well regardless of whether or not something is forgotten, the mind reader can drag it back out. If she wants to that is, and often she doesn't seem to care. Really Satori seems so much more happy just living a shut-in life and occasionally messing with people by reading minds. Getting involved any further than that is a pain.

Girls do their best now and are campaigning. Please watch warmly until it is ready.

Or, in other words, the fairies are looking to increase their support in this time of many votes. In such times of events as large as this, of course all the playful fairies would get excited. It's in their nature.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUq86e_SXr0 Some folksy fairy music, only fitting to represent all the girls.

https://toho-vote.info/

The annual Touhou Vote is now open! Follow the link, sign into an account, and then you can cast your votes for your favorites of the Touhou series. As per usual, you get 7 votes for characters, 10 votes for music, and 5 votes for official works. In each category your No. 1 pick is given additional votes, so remember to keep that in mind when putting someone in the No. 1 slot. All other slots get only one vote. You only have one week to cast your votes, and you can edit your votes at any time until the week is up. Make sure to get them in.

While the top spots aren't the point of this vote, I guess it's only fair to mention last year's top placements. Koishi took first, with Marisa landing second and Reimu landing third. Nothing too surprising, the vote is more about seeing who moves around in popularity rather than who takes the top spot. Notably, there is an attempt going around currently to increase the ranking of the common fairy mobs. VoteFairy is a nice campaign, will probably be putting a vote for mob fairies in on my end.

Played through a decent chunk of Internet Survivor Survivors, sadly for as much as I enjoy the game's charm I cannot suggest it unless you're really invested in seeing the silly Touhou jokes everywhere. It looks nice and the music is great, but the actual gameplay is very bare-bones even for a game of this type. There's no real unlocks. So far there's only two stages repeated over three times each over the course of six levels, with differences in time of day as you go. The difficulty is insanely easy, only the last stage actually bothers to require some upgrades. There's only 8 weapons and evolutions don't require any special conditions, they just happen upon reaching max level for the weapon. Flan is the only playable character. This is about what I expected but it's a bit disappointing.

For currently $12.74 in USD and normally going to be $14.99, definitely not worth it. I like it, but it's a bit much. For around half the full price of Internet Survivor Survivors, you could get Vampire Survivors with Ode to Castlevania off sale. That alone is more than enough gameplay for this style of game and it actually has puzzles and secrets to unlock extra stuff and give you a reason to keep playing.

I always find it neat when people remember the unnamed kitsune who disguises herself as Marisa. Fun barely mentioned character.

In all that happens, it's pleasing to know such a cute wife is out there. Lovely goddess of the mountain shrine, enjoying life as it goes by. Would be great to experience that passive joy with her.

Lonely girl working to hide herself away in the village, avoiding notice from all. Though she seems to want to hide herself, there's also an easily seen bit of sadness to it. Sekibanki definitely doesn't want to be entirely alone, but she's too stubborn to admit it.

Satori just isn't cut out for physical activities. She'd much rather stay inside and relax where she feels safe. Her sister though will constantly try to drag her places, and her pets often want her to at least get out a little to exercise. Such a hassle, she needs more books to read instead.

What a dork Futo is. Constantly switching between more modern and older forms of speaking. Makes it hard to tell what she’s trying to say from time to time. Not to mention how much she wants to appear cool and whatnot.

Fairies love showing their brilliance of pranks, they'll stay up as long as needed to ensure it all works. Of course their scheming could use some work, but that's part of the charm. You never know what you may see when a fairy plans a prank.

https://x.com/Dolls_Nest/status/2086649234787291468 Seems like Nitro Plus might be doing something. Dolls Nest has a demo event scheduled for TGS, which is extremely odd for a game that's been out for around a year and a half now and has a public demo on Steam. They've also posted this cryptic post that merely contains an image and some hashtags for the game and TGS.

Lunasa, the string instrument poltergeist of the Prismriver sisters. Well, poltergeists as we often think of them is a misnomer, but that's besides the point. Lunasa's a rather melancholic and reserved girl. She's not mean or anything mind, just a bit pessimistic most of the time. Lunasa will still gladly preform up on stage with her sisters and that drummer. You'd want to be careful listening to her playing solo, a little bit is calming but too much and you might end up falling into a bit of sadness. It's not something she can help, it's just how her ability works. Thankfully her sister's abilities help keep this in check.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K43eOFeMW4 I just really like this song, so Lunasa solo.

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/silensong A very, very nice doujin of the sisters, Mystia, and Luna. Music should carry across feelings.

I thought Touhou Spell Bubble was completely considered finished since Taito moved onto QQQbeats since it's a more general rhythm game. Nope, two years since announcing it was pretty much over we've now got a Suika character pack on the horizon. :cirno_what2:

The primary leader of the yamawaro, Takane. Less of an inventor type of species compared to the kappa and far more of a merchant type. Takane in particular is an outgoing type that's still a little distrustful of humans. For the most part though so long as you catch her in a marketplace she'll be more than happy to go along.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwh1QFpQrLA Kappayappa is a lot of fun.

https://mangadex.org/title/7a5a255a-238b-43ec-9bff-472c5ce091ef/touhou-chimahon Not particularly a Takane doujin but it has some enjoyable Takane in it to start with, and that's good enough for me.
