So, Pictet, one of the largest and oldest Swiss banks (founded in 1805, CHF 724 billion AUM), and a strong critic of Bitcoin since forever, is now hiring a Digital Assets Product Manager "responsible for defining and delivering a coherent vision and strategy for digital assets (such as cryptocurrencies, tokenised assets, stablecoins, etc.)"
Probably nothing.

As bitcoiners argue whether ETF and MSTR are good or bad for bitcoiners, I'm wondering if BlackRock Grayscale Fidelity, and Saylor realise that a very large part of Bitcoin value comes precisely from – ironically – the ability to self-custody.
Without it, what they are holding would be as worthless as if they created their own BTC forked clone...
In an extreme case scenario where they'd buy all the Bitcoin, value would simply free fall to zero. Question is: How much can they gulp before reaching the tipping point?
Most people buying price exposure through ETF or MSTR understandably don't understand this. Heck, many self-custodying bitcoiners don't either. I would like to know if the people running these giants do. 🤔

"Sure, you talk about Bitcoin's benefits, but can you explain its history AND its free market price discovery AND its monetary scarcity AND its stranded energy incentives, all with a single image without comment?"

Nostr people ask "why don't you use Nostr more?"
Well, very simply, because no client allows me to hide reposts (either totally or per individual user) yet.
Until this is addressed, my TL feels like Twitter's "For you" tab.
I do want to read what the people I follow post, NOT what they repost from other people.
I can't be the only one who feels like this, am I?

"Zuckerberg says Biden administration pressured Meta to censor COVID-19 content"
If Meta and the government hid this, what else are they hiding about? Who else is hiding stuff from you?
Enough with the "this is just a conspiracy theory" BS excuse already.
They are side by side now.

Key takeaway from #Nostriga:
's #Ditto solves most of the problems discussed in panels, and everyone should start a community. 🤷♂️
