Getting a share feature added into Magpie-UI today.

last few days have been working out my test server's setup to get the most out of sqlite.

Also need to keep reminding myself that sqlite is B-Trees, and that writes are always going to be costly, but breaking up things into multiple databases has helped distribute some of the load.

As for Hoardstr... Probably need to take some time to strip it down to just the nostr feed, and add support for magpie's client tag.

Might also just be worth starting a new project that is just a dedicated browsing tool, not sure yet.

#Magpie is coming along more methodically, haven't tested any of the NIP-98 bits yet, still building up the DB schema, importers, etc.

API first system, so the UI is decoupled from the backend.

Having a dedicated backend does mean better utilization of system resources, and potentially multi-user access.

The sad part is, it was to be expected sooner or later. With the way things are, the loudest wheel always gets the grease.

So after about 1 year of both of the gender population mods for Dwarf Fortress being on steam, both were taken down as of September 21st.

No reason given yet, did submit an appeal to steam support, but i doubt they'll give much of an answer.

Turns out this was on my old Wacom MobileStudio that i dumped bazzite onto. Don't use it because the digitizer is had started flaking out last year.

It's the whole reason I invested into Huion.

CLI tool worked a little too well, so well that it's takes ages to actually get the whole dataset back in sync. ☠️

Working on a different path with the DB Snapshot system, Deltas are great for keeping live clients in sync, but bulk imports not so much.

Pushed #hoardstr v0.5.3 today to stable, Public feed hydration fixes & private analytics generated from Sorter results.

Basic post sharing now points to the nsite or hosted domain and jumps to the nevent linked, instead of pointing to another third party site. No preview card generation, since there is no server to do it for you.

CLI tools added for automated mass import broadcasts, moves archive files aside for now; need to sort out what would be the best option to handle them.

Getting 800-900 ops compacted into single notes would have been nice, but often broke the bounds of what NIP-44 could handle.

Making sure hoardstr keeps an eye on the plaintext size of the delta notes before attempting to publish, then splitting them up if needed. Generally means 250 to 260 ops per delta
