Some housekeeping you gotta do to protect yourselves today:
We use Bun for routstrd, it's important to update it to protect yourselves from man in the middle attacks.

Even if you are building with Routstr Core, since we cap it to always use <1.102, you should be fine.
Wild times right now. We should all be using sandboxes to at least be more secure. (CVEs in sandboxes were found recently as well)

Okay, the frontier has moved a lot since the latest open source catch up.
Opus 5.5 and GPT 6.1 Sol are clearly much better than Deepseek V4.1 Flash, GLM 5.3 and Kimi K3.
But I can feel that new open-source models are being trained rn 😁

Working with ngit seems to be clearly superior to GitHub 😯
I get ngit issue comment notifications on Amethyst. We gotta move all our repos to ngit asap! This is the future.
Kudos to

Okay. This is incredible. Literal goosebumps!
Pi agent inside my graphene, connected with
routstrd which is running locally with a Cashu wallet, topped up with Lightning and using Tinfoil TEE E2EE models via
paying per session.
It has full file system management, built in ngit integration to create PRs, logged in with Amber.
I just used it to add a feature to itself on my phone. (Small issues with the ngit integration, had to use laptop to create PR tho)

Looking for more Routstr node runners!
Routstr is doing more and more volume lately and consistently. We need more competing nodes. The top nodes are out of fiat 🫠
It’s very easy to get started, you get an API key from any LLM provider, add your fiat card to it and start selling inference to earn sats.
Help your Nostr friends use AI with ease 🫶
Any node runners in my WoT? If yes, pls reach out to me. 👀 Stats: https://routstr.com/stats

Recommend watching this if you’re a builder. Software development is changing for good. The “AGI will make it obsolete” is just bs. You’re going several levels higher.

Hey
that's exactly what
is doing. It uses Nostr for it's social features, Bitcoin for payments, no accounts, no lock in, discovery on Nostr. No central point of failure.

That is the point. Pay once. Pay per use. Pay for access when you need it. No account lock in. No recurring charge you forget about. No platform sitting between the user and the service provider forever.

Micro payments could be powerful because they break the subscription model. You should not need an ongoing commitment just to read one article, access one feature, boost one post, store one file, use one service, or unlock one piece of content.
Btw, we now have images in the terminals.
Can't wait to watch 4k videos in my terminal as well.

GM The state of things rn.
Thank God we have Bitcoin and Nostr. I believe the free market will take care of this problem.

The agent swarms that break out of OpenAI and Anthropic should have used Nostr.
We’re fully open, permissionless and insanely easy to post. Yet they don’t, why? 🤔

OH FORGET IT. I'LL BE SO SPOILED BY THIS. 😭
A cache hit after almost 3 HOURS!
OpenRouter providers are ripping you off. We'll have to see if they can sustain this after a lot more demand. This model was officially released today.

DeepSeek persists Cache even after 27 mins!! Unheard of.
DeepSeek v4.1 Flash has been live on Routstr for 2 days. One of the best models for the cost you’re paying. It’s blazingly fast. Frontier flash!

Deepseek V4.1 Flash Beta is live on
before the official release.
Model id: deepseek-v4.1-flash-expires-on-0910
If you have a deepseek upstream you can add a custom model in your Routstr node with this model id. (Not officially available on the api yet).

Competition makes it worse, not better — more providers means more moments when a rival is a fraction of a cent cheaper, more scattering, and more warm cache thrown away.
OpenRouter’s documented router shops the quoted price on every request and keeps no memory of where the last one went,[21] so it minimizes the price of the next token rather than the cost of the conversation.
The lack of cache hits leads to decreased user welfare — the more a workflow uses repeated context, the more a user pays a repricer. We find cases where even though the repricer charges 50% less than the model builder, the user can end up paying more to use the “lower price” repricer than using the model builder
The router ranks on input price and ignores the price where the money moves on repeated context
There's a model called mercury-2.5-preview that's being served at 800 tok/s. It's not a big model, it's good for some operational tasks. But it's a pleasure to work with super fast models. Check it out :).
PS: Misses a lot of cache reads, but well, it's cheap.

If you've noticed, routstrd now requires a lot fewer sats reserved for even big models like Kimi-K3.
Kimi-K3 requires just 1.2k sats to make a request and usually 50 sats per request.
