New zine drop 🐱 OP_CAT! 🐱

OP_CAT? What?

Yep! Here's why. OP_CAT is very simple to understand, even if you don't know much about bitcoin Script or opcodes.

Concatenation, which is what the "CAT" in OP_CAT stands for, is computer science 101. It's a powerful building block with great versatility.

OP_CAT has some fun Satoshi lore and it's a gentle entry point into ongoing discussions about covenants and soft forks.

Read the full zine here, then head to my website to download a free copy to print and share with friends.

https://satsie.dev/zines

Special thank you to everyone that made this possible:

for sponsoring this zine,

for covering the costs of physical printing and distribution for all my zines, and the OP_CAT BIP authors, Ethan Heilman and

for the countless rounds of feedback and review that went into this. Thank you!

While I'm not able to write zines as fast as I'd like, they are still something I love to do and want to continue with. I have a big backlog of ideas I want to tackle but if there are any specific topics you'd like to see covered, drop a comment here.

Thanks everyone for your support. It means a lot. Enjoy!

GM from me and my biggest sourdough win to date! Big thank you to

for the tips that set me up for success. You really do need a strong starter!

Next to it is a pic of my first loaf in 2020. I made a few more that turned out better but I quickly lost interest. It’s always nice to look back and see how far things have come.

Really great nostr chat at the

Oslo Freedom Forum with

,

, and nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240. Covered everything from the amazing primitives you get for free with the nostr protocol, how it can be a credible path for communicating privately with AI agents, and why Divine was built on nostr and not Bluesky 💜

Watching everyone at once is cheap. freedom tech (i.e. encrypted messaging, bitcoin, etc) makes it expensive.

AI cuts the costs on both sides. Mass surveillance gets cheaper, and so does freedom tech. The race just got faster.

As we wind down this year's BOSS Challenge, there have been a number of really cool projects to come out of the program.

Check them out and show these builders some love!

This Wednesday I'll be moderating the "Secure & Secret: Advancing Bitcoin Privacy as the Default" panel at the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas.

I'm excited to chat with

This keeps making me laugh

This is it. 1 more day to apply for the BOSS Challenge.

1 more day of me yapping about the best opportunity for aspiring bitcoin devs.

I would have been over the moon for something like this when I was first getting into bitcoin development. You cannot put a price on the guidance and the high quality curriculum that this program provides, and the opportunities it can unlock.
