What an amazing weekend at the Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash!

A massive thank you to everyone who attended — it was a pleasure to have over 150 Bitcoiners join us for this unforgettable weekend. Your energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm made this event truly special.

Over 2.5 days of content, we enjoyed over 16 hours of presentation content, featuring thought-provoking talks, lively and inspiring discussions. We also learned a lot about each other, shared great moments, and perhaps learned a little too much about the dangers of leaving a pie in the microwave… one very upset Karen would agree!

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible speakers for sharing their knowledge and insights with us, and for sparking so many important conversations. We are grateful for your time and expertise.

We’d also like to extend our deepest gratitude to the organisation team and AV crew for their hard work behind the scenes — your dedication ensured everything ran smoothly and professionally, making the event a success.

Finally, a huge thank you to our sponsor, Bitcoin Moon Fund, for their ongoing support. Without your commitment, this event wouldn’t have been possible. Your contributions help keep these kinds of community-driven events alive.

It was truly inspiring to be a part of such a collaborative, welcoming community, and we look forward to doing it all again next year.

Thank you again to everyone who made it happen!

Looking forward to Palm Cove, QLD kicking off on Friday 25th July 2025

We’re excited to announce that Robbie P, the Most Toxic Bitcoin Maxi, will be joining us for a special 'bit-hop' performance over the weekend. An updated schedule is attached below, the final presentation schedule will be released in the coming days — stay tuned for more details.

Thank you for being part of what promises to be an unforgettable weekend. We’ll see you all very soon!

We’d like to take a moment to shine a light on an exciting and important project from one of our presenters at the Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash.

The team at Consensus21 is working to establish a Bitcoin-powered school, one that offers an alternative to the traditional education system. The vision is to create a curriculum that’s centered on teaching kids to truly be themselves, fostering entrepreneurial spirit, and introducing important life skills like critical thinking, financial literacy, health & well-being, and sustainability through practices like growing your own food. It’s a fresh approach, aimed at empowering the next generation with the skills they’ll need to thrive in the modern world.

What makes this even more special is that the school will be funded through Bitcoin donations, enabling them to remain independent and aligned with the values of the Bitcoin community.

They’ve put together a whitepaper outlining their vision, and they’d love your feedback. If you’re attending the Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash, we encourage you to take a look at the whitepaper beforehand and come prepared to share your thoughts and ideas. Your feedback will be invaluable as they continue to develop this exciting concept.

Whitepaper here: https://github.com/consensus21school/consensus21school.github.io/blob/main/whitepaper.md

This project represents a chance to rethink education in a way that nurtures creativity, independence, and critical thought—values that are often overlooked in traditional schooling.

We’re looking forward to hearing more about this innovative idea and hope you’ll join in supporting it.

We’re so pleased to share the schedule of presentations for the upcoming Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash. This weekend is all about learning together, sharing experiences, and growing as a community.

We’ve put together a diverse range of talks and sessions, each one aiming to deepen our understanding of Bitcoin. These presentations are not just about education, but about sparking conversations and building relationships that will strengthen our collective journey in the Bitcoin space.

Among the many insightful sessions, we’re especially looking forward to the Libertarian Party’s presentation, marking the first time a political party in Australia has shown a real interest in Bitcoin. Jordan Dittloff, the lead Victorian senate candidate, will be there to discuss the first Australian Bitcoin Policy that was recently launched at the Bitcoin Alive conference in Sydney. This policy was crafted alongside the Bitcoiner community by a regular Bush Basher, and it’s sure to spark some important conversations about Bitcoin’s role in the future of our country.

From early-bird sessions for newcomers, to thought-provoking discussions on Bitcoin’s future, privacy, security, and self-custody, we hope everyone will find something that resonates and adds value to their personal Bitcoin journey.

We’re also incredibly excited to see our first “Women in Bitcoin” gathering take place, a chance for meaningful conversations and connection within a growing and supportive community.

As always, it’s not about the speakers alone — it’s about all of us coming together, learning, and sharing in a space that’s open, inclusive, and free from barriers.

We can’t wait to see you in Beechworth. This is just the beginning, and together, we’ll make it something special.

Tomorrow marks just 10 days until the 2025 Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash kicks off.

We’re excited to share that we are currently finalising the speaker presentations, and they will be all revealed tomorrow!

The weekend will offer a mix of educational sessions, insightful startups, and thought-provoking discussions and debates, all led by some of the best Bitcoiners in Australia.

Each day will start with early-bird sessions for newcomers to the space at 8:30am, followed by the main presentations from 10am on both Saturday and Sunday (March 29/30).

On Saturday afternoon, we’ll also be hosting our first-ever "Women in Bitcoin" gathering, offering a space to connect and share experiences.

No tickets, no KYC — just Bitcoin, community, and a chance to learn and grow together.

We hope to see you at the Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash!

It’s inspiring to see Bitcoin events continue to grow, and this weekend’s Bitcoin Alive conference was a wonderful example of the energy and commitment of the Bitcoin community. A sincere thank you to the organisers, speakers, and attendees for making the event such a success.

In just the past week, the global Bitcoin landscape has shifted dramatically, with announcements that could trigger a race among nation-states. It’s clear — things are moving fast.

At the Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash, we’re hoping to build on this momentum by offering a diverse range of speakers and discussions. Starting on the afternoon of Friday, March 28th, and running over three days, we’ll be exploring topics such as:

• The future of Bitcoin and its evolving role in the global economy. -How Strategic Bitcoin Reserves held by nation-states may influence the industry.
• The increasing involvement of governments in the Bitcoin space, and what this could mean for the community.
• How Bitcoin is being used to support the development of transformative educational models.
• The potential of the Lightning Network for faster, low-cost transactions.
• Practical advice on privacy, security, and self-custody to safeguard your digital assets.

This event is more than just about learning — it’s about meeting and connecting with others who share an interest in Bitcoin. It’s an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, share experiences, and learn together as a community.

We’ll be revealing the full speaker list soon, and we hope you’ll be able to join us for what promises to be a memorable and rewarding weekend.

Incoming! Beechworth Bitcoin Bush Bash March 28th-30th

Beechworth is a picturesque town nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps. This charming historic destination provides the perfect backdrop for an inspiring and fun-filled weekend. As the first Bush Bash of the calendar year, the Victorian team has been working hard to ensure it’s one to remember.

Accommodation: Beechworth is ideally located for attendees traveling from all over the east coast and beyond. It’s about a 3-hour drive from Melbourne and a 6-hour drive from Sydney. Alternatively, the nearby Albury Airport is a convenient option for those flying in. A variety of accommodation options are available, ranging from quaint bed and breakfasts to cozy motels and boutique hotels in Beechworth itself.

Other attractions: If you plan to bring family along or extend your trip, Beechworth has a wealth of attractions to enjoy. You can explore the historic Beechworth Asylum, take a scenic walk along the Beechworth Gorge, or visit the Beechworth Cemetery, which has ties to the famous Australian outlaw, Ned Kelly. Other attractions include the Beechworth Honey Discovery Centre and wine tours through the nearby Rutherglen, King Valley or Milawa wine regions. For history enthusiasts, the Beechworth Historic Precinct and Burke Museum are also well worth a visit.

This is a Bitcoin-only event, so please note that discussions will focus solely on Bitcoin. There will be no talk of "cryptocurrencies" in a broader sense. We are here to explore Bitcoin’s future and its role in our financial and technological landscapes.

No tickets or registration are required to attend, making it an anonymous event (no KYC needed). Whether you’re a seasoned Bitcoiner or just starting out, all experience levels are welcomed, and we encourage everyone to join the conversation.
