This is strange.

It would appear that my home internet is somehow not serving me up certain sites. X, delta, banks, etc.

Certain sites work fine. Amazon, for instance.

Everything works fine on my phone via LTE. but NOT if i’m connected to WIFI.

Why/how would this be?

is the internet down?

can’t access any of my bank sites x also hacked it seems.

I can still shop on amazon tho.

If you’re trying to get good in the kitchen - you MUST have a dish that you make over and over.

Yes make a variety of things. But learn the nuance of one dish well.

Make it in different places, with different tools. Eat it with different people.

Make it until you think you’ve mastered it. Keep making it until you know it can’t be mastered.

Then move on to another dish and do it again.

We eat dinner as a family every day that we can. Early, late, cooking or take out. We set the table and wait until we’re all seated to start eating.

We sit and we talk - even after we’re done eating.

This is maybe my favorite thing in life.

It is a large part of why I cook.

And it is the entire reason that I do Beefsteaks.

preserved chanterelles

Ben going for it today.

Happy friday.

not choosing is a choice

The European mind cannot comprehend this.

Nature is so weird.

i think the problem is that nostr is not funny enough.

i really enjoy ketchup.

i’ve never seen anything but a boomer driving the most recent version of the Corvette.

It’s design really screams. “This is your last chance of a Ferrari.”

what do you guys use to turn youtube videos into video files these days?

omg fuck yes. i luv this.

i had this same exact instinct - but for a strat and a blues jr. - - i’m still shopping.

will report back.

I do this all of the time.

Have agency not agents.

Did sci-fi writers predict what ai would become? Or is ai being designed around our sci-fi expectations?

Seriously tho, are we telegraphing our own destruction?

Never thought I’d be wondering if i’m rolling dice correctly.

one of my favs

Crazy to think about what Bitcoin has gone through in the last week.

I will be watching with interest the attacks and responses that happen in the coming weeks and months.

I seriously doubt many will have as robust a response as we’ve had.

Some big projects will be completely wiped out.

It somehow feels better to have been lied to than to have willfully followed an idiot.

This beagle gonna land today.

Thanks yall.

there WERE collisions!

not too late to chip in, this thing ships today.

It’s not enough to just have kids, you gotta be good parents.

Ok Nostr.

We’re sending

a fucking pastrami for all of his hard work. The real thing - not some grocery store shit.

Zap this post to chip in.

20k plus zaps will receive credit.

I’ll obvs fill the gap regardless.

If you think i’m a pastrami scammer you can gfy. I ALWAYS deliver on meat promises.

I’ve been cooking for over 30 years, and foraging A LOT for 15 of those.

To my knowledge i’ve never gotten anyone sick.

Yesterday I poisoned myself with these mushrooms. They are curry boletes, not the coveted bicolor boletes that they look like.

The thing is, I knew this. They say you’re supposed to “cook the shit out of them.”

I’ve eaten them on multiple occasions, and iI love them - but I prepared them in a new way yesterday in order to preserve them.

it was a night of puke and poop.

Has me thinking more on the cold card fiasco.

You put in the effort, do what you think is the right thing, and get royally fucked anyways.

It’s a humbling and embarrassing experience.

Nature is so fucking weird.

Game on.

Potahto

old pic of my g’ma’s living room.

Explain Bip-110 to me using a picture.

if you guys had been doing squats we wouldn’t be in bear market.

what external hard drives do you guys use?

I’ll basically watch any movie with “takes matters into his own hands” in the description.

First meal of the day… everyday…..

Give yourself grace.

Old man of the woods.

They grow by themselves in the woods.

Looks like a death trap - but they’re super tasty.

This is not mushroom advice.

kids.

Please explain Buzz to me like i’m a stupid kid.

Maaaaawwn, I luv u guys.

I just saw a California roll on a menu for 32 dollars.

things are getting stupid expensive so quickly and people are getting left behind.

The thing that baffles me are people that have built wealth, but are not willing to leave it to their kids.

To leave your offspring on the wrong side of that widening gap is a fucking travesty.

filet

at least it’s not Veuve. Krug is actually good .

I need a good book about Nikola Tesla

Hey Nostr,

I need printer advice!

The wife hired a zoomer.

She was excited about the hire for the super small org.

On the first day the zoomer literally dropped out of her morning welcome meeting with the entire org. - no message, no explanation, no note.

An hour later she texted to ask if she could reschedule at 2pm.

They’re highly educated, fairly experienced and came with real references.

q: wtf are zoomers thinking?

This is the on bip-110 explanation that matters:

In quantum mechanics, Schrödinger's Fork is a thought experiment concerning quantum superposition. In the thought experiment, a hypothetical Fork inside a closed box may be considered to be simultaneously both soft and hard while it is unobserved, as a result of its fate being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur.

Lobster is a ripoff.

Sorry ladies - I’d love to chat, but I’m tracking my stats.

Figure it out.

The first domino……

This shirt gets more luv than any peice of clothing that i own.

Srsly bitch, wtf is “Professional Bath Tissue?”

it’s either the best toilet paper ever, or the absolute worst.

Will we maybe fork around the 10th anniversary of bcash?

Great point.

THIS WAS POSTED BY PHIL GEIGER ON X.

Every bitcoiner, especially if you got in in 2018 or later, should take 2 minutes and read this.

From Phil: Here are the steps I have used to safely sell several forks of bitcoin - even ones with replay risks - from singlesig cold storage. It's important to follow the order of operations carefully.

These views are my own and this is for educational purposes only. This guide is recommended for people with intermediate knowledge of self-custody. It is not recommended for self-custody beginners. Follow this guide at your own risk, and consult with an expert before attempting on your own.

Before the fork:

1. Securely generate a brand new seed phrase using a hardware wallet. Name this FORK Wallet.

2. Move the bitcoin into FORK Wallet. The old wallet (PRE-FORK wallet) is now empty of BTC, but keep all the old seed phrases secure because they will be used again later.

3. Keep the bitcoin secure in FORK wallet until the fork. After the fork (FORK wallet now secures forkbitcoin and real bitcoin):

4. Move the real bitcoin from FORK Wallet back into PRE-FORK Wallet. Wait until the transaction is confirmed. The seed phrase generated for FORK wallet is now empty of real BTC. WARNING: Confirm that all the BTC is back and secure in PRE-FORK wallet before continuing.

5. Take FORK Wallet seed phrase and load it into wallet software that can sign a Forkbitcoin transaction. The FORK wallet seed phrase is now COMPROMISED, and should not be used for real bitcoin ever again. I write "compromised" on this seed phrase and file the seed phrase away.

6. Move the Forkbitcoin to an exchange that accepts it and wait for confirmations (this could take a while).

7. Sell Forkbitcoin for real bitcoin. Withdraw the real bitcoin into PRE-FORK Wallet, and enjoy!

Check with a tax advisor about your local tax laws. Happy fork collecting!

Access to information is different from access to truth.

Truth is subjective.

Many people don’t even want the truth, especially when it applies to themselves.

I’m typically drawn to Bitcoiners as pursuers of truth. Tho in Bitcoin, the truth is (mostly) simply defined. The rest is interpretation.

In myself, I see the tendency to avoid the nuance of truths that exists in the center, and I lean into very simple truths or completely whacked out unprovable concepts.

I don’t spend much time mulling over the stuff in the middle. Mainly because it doesn’t help me accomplish any of my goals.

I am, however, interested in the conversation about how AI presents information and will do so moving forward.
