Someone should create a nostr radio app where anyone can create a radio station. Then we could plug the app into our cars and listen to nostr radio stations or listen to it at home. That would be cool.

I used electrum in the past. It was good software. Update your electrum if you still use it.

reddit won't let me browse the site on mobile browser anymore. It shows a pop-up to download the app and won't let me close it. Reddit sucks anyways. I'm not downloading their garbage app.

Rumble is terrible. Live streamers can now inject advertisements into their live stream. I use ad blockers when I'm browsing rumble because it's full of annoying ads, exactly like YouTube.

Nostr doesn't have ads yet but I suspect someone will try.

Nostrich is NosTwitter.

They've openly said they want to become a public company someday, and there's big money backing the project. That alone makes me question where they're heading.

We all know what happens when big corporate money gets involved. Everything becomes about profits, collecting user data, keeping investors happy, and eventually controlling what people see.

I wouldn't be surprised if NosTwitter ends up going down the exact same road as Twitter, where the people with the most money get the most influence.

I actually liked Nostrich when it first came out, but now it looks exactly like Twitter. It's ugly. Where's the creativity? Did they hire a bunch of ex-Twitter developers or something?

Anyway, I'm sticking with Amethyst.

I checked my Backblaze account, and I've only used about 100 MB of storage from all my uploads over the past 6 months.

As long as I don't upload videos, I probably won't go over the 10 GB free storage limit anytime soon.

At my current rate of usage, I'm good for another 49.5 years! 😂

Slayer and I are in the same situation. We both would love to constantly post videos but because both of us are too poor to afford video hosting, we can't post videos. Backblaze gives me 10GB of free storage after that I have to pay. Once I reach 10GB I'm not sure what I will do.

I tried hosting my own videos on a server but playback is too slow because you need some CDN stuff.

But me and slayer have big plans this upcoming year. We're going to work hard so we can be rich rich rich!

After my dad took away our good computer. I went from the best streamer to the worst streamer.

I can't believe Nostria was down for over a month and their team didn't tell us anything. They seem to have ignored us.

I wonder if the users who bought a subscription got a refund or credit on the time it was down.

I went to zap stream and grinder is missing. Why isn't grinder streaming? Someone needs to wake him up, I'm bored and need someone to entertain me.

The good thing about Nostrich paying users to like notes is that the spammers and bots will stop liking my notes and go over there instead.

Apparently, Nostrich is giving away free sats for liking and reacting to notes.

That's not genuine engagement. It's incentivized activity that encourages people to interact for rewards rather than because they're actually interested in the content.

Nostrich will become another platform full of artificial engagement, just like the problems we've seen on Twitter/X.

And speaking of Twitter/X, Nostrich already looks almost identical to it. Couldn't they come up with something more original instead of copying an existing platform?
