Pretty sure it's cringe but I love that 90's alt rock emo pop album So Much for the Afterglow.
My opinion is heavily tainted by nostalgia but still love the entire album.
If an LLM saves you 1 hour of fucking around on search engines a week that's 52 hours freed up a year.

Come hell or high water I'm watching the ufc card this Saturday.
This one is crazy (timestamped)

How are LLMs so good but autocorrect is so retarded?

Still watching this occasionally years later. Anyone know who made it? Are they on nostr?

Dissolving Illusions is among the most interesting, heart-breaking and eye-opening books I've ever read.
Can't get sim swapped if you use Cape. Worth switching mobile carriers just for that assurance alone.

I can make a strong and logically consistent case that paying taxes and voting are deeply immoral and harmful actions. Yet 90%+ of people reflexively label anyone who refuses those actions as scum bag criminals. The irony isn't lost on me.

The average voter votes with the hope that the people who win political power will impose their will on everyone else in the "right" way.
Some voters vote because they hate the opposition and want to see them punished and disgraced.
Some voters vote with the hope they will financially benefit from policy of their chosen politican.
Many voters vote between the "lesser of two evils" and are sure that we need governments, taxes, rules and regulations or else society would decay.
All without exception tarnish their integirity by supporting a violent thieving criminal organization to do immoral things on their behalf.

The relentless state-sponsored campaigns to vote are an obvious tell that voting is a massive psyop.

Crazy how everyone in LATAM made the switch from SMS to an encrypted messaging app but they use cuckerberg's spyware instead of something thats actually private.

Audioslave was on a real spiritual high when they made Like A Stone (the album). Timeless work and a 9/10 imo. V underappreciated.

How many more of these attacks are already in motion but not executed?
I’ve turned to the dark side and think purpose-built signers are too big a target, too unverifiable and a juicy honey pot. I’ve moved on.

This dude has to do almost 4 decades in max USPs. Mandatory gang affiliation and participation, forced to carry a knife and use it, riots, stabbings, untold treachery and chaos. He probably won’t make it out of the level 4s alive unless he is a beast.

Hot take: purpose built bitcoin signers are a bigger security risk and less verifiable than a software wallet on a dedicated machine holding keys.

“AI is going to kill all humans”
“AI is going to create hyper-abundance”
“AI is an existential threat”
“AI is retarded”
“AI is super intelligence”
Combine all of these trite takes and you probably get closest to the truth. LLM’s are useful in some disciplines and interesting tech but they won’t really create any extreme changes in human societies - good or bad. They can’t fix your roof or make you dinner but they can be helpful and amplify productivity in certain areas.

It takes about $50,000 to live at a reasonable standard for a year in most places in the U.S.
Compound that $50k by 10% annually and in 20 years it’ll cost ≈$336,376.00 to live at the same standard in America.
Normal people hear this and think it’s a ridiculous fantasy. But travel the world and you already see 100,000 peso bills worth less than a $100 usd.
It is inevitable imo and I think 10% compound inflation in the U.S. is a conservative estimate going forward.
While most “adults” are distracted by whatever fraudulent moron is “president”, everyone’s wealth continues to be drained by accelerating inflation and ballooning commie taxes imposed by insolvent “governments”.
Bitcoin isn’t perfect but it’s the best chance we have to not participate in all the insanity that envelopes us. At least we got that goin for us…

Serious questions: does anyone have an evidence based idea on how Satoshi generated entropy / keys? Is it known if he used a passphrase?
He didn’t use a hardware signer. It seems likely he used a computer that had been online or continued to be connected to the internet to generate randomness.
The offline only private key mantra feels like it’s potentially a psyop. It’s impossible for regular people to know exactly what components purpose-built hardware signers use. I’m scared of them.
