I've decided I want to leave WordPress for managing my content and podcast RSS feed.

Aside from podcast-hosting providers, are there any fantastic podcast CMSes out there with full Podcasting 2.0 support? Or a React/Next.js system?

I know of Payload for Next.js. Or I might build my own thing.

There's an editing mistake in latest PWR. Near 25 minutes in, Sam asks a question about YouTube's changed measurement method, but there's no answer, it just jumps to Sam's next question.

The outpouring love for John C. Dvorak revealed something every #podcaster should understand about the connection your audience feels with you.

Following up from today's boardroom.

I dug into the Stripe docs and found that it is possible for a payment form to split a payment more than once. But being part of the split requires a prior connection.

But once that connection is made, the payment form could delegate splits based on something as simple as a URL parameter.

For example, a podcast could include the payment page URL in their Funding tag, then PodcastGuru automatically adds "?ref=podcastguru" to the URL.

Today's Podcasting 2.0 boardroom was a positive kick in the pants I needed to get working on my "Funding" feature in Podgagement.

I won't be secretive about this, because I think others should make similar things.

I'm making a hosting-agnostic tool that will allow podcasters to share a single, speakable URL to get funding from their audiences, and it will support messages, multiple payment methods, recurring and one-time payments, custom amounts, "tiers," and more.

OP3 seems to be having problems. https://op3.dev/show/2eda53b6-23a1-59ae-8bb6-f960a2e76d3c is 2 days behind, and so is the data via API.

Something bothers me about the upcoming macOS 27 that I haven't seen anyone talking about much.

All the other macOS and OS X versions where named after beauty in nature: Jaguar, Mavericks, Yosemite, Sequoia, and such.

But macOS 27 will be the first named after a manmade object: Golden Gate.

That feels like not only a change in naming strategy, but also a fundamental shift in core beliefs about beauty, awe, and adventure.

It's disappointing.

Independence is the greatest power of #podcasting—even for corporate #podcasters. Here are 10 reasons to celebrate the freedom of #podcasts.

Can we please have an actual website with episode pages for the Podcasting 2.0 show so it's easier to share?

Or should I just build something into podcasting2.org for that?

"I'll just fix it in post."

I'm collaborating with

, from PodMatch.com, on a new and beautifully simple "contact" tag that can work for guest/interview-booking, too.

I hope you all will love it!

Like the Lord Jesus, the ATR2100x-USB has been resurrected! But yowza on the new $149 price (at least directly from Audio–Technica)!

Is there a way for you to change this Mastodon so it doesn't keep reminding us to add alt-text to images?

I may have fixed the examples linking issues for Podcasting2.org, but then we'll have to undo that PR that made absolute links.

The new Podcast Industry Insights website is live (announcing here first before public announcements next week)!

It baffles me how certain things become "standards" when there are obviously better things instead.

Is it just the people behind them? Is it just the timing? Is it that people are too focused on single ideas?

For example, HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray, audio-encoding formats, and Podcasting 2.0 features. 🤦‍♂️

I keep trying to remind people that the bigger concerns about disclosing things are:

1. Whether AI generated the content—I think people care less about whether it was voiced by AI.
2. There's already a legal requirement to disclose financial relationships (sponsors, provided products, affiliates, etc.). I think we shouldn't be making multiple single-purpose tags that could be combined in one simple tag.

I've decided to go back to simple email marketing templates that look like mostly plain text.

When I thought critically about the emails I receive, I realized I tend to value the ones more that look like normal emails, even though I know they're newsletters (complete with required footer info).

My inbox is basically just

speaking about Podcasting 2.0 at the National Religious Broadcasters conference.

"⚠ PodStats is shutting down at the end of February 2026 due to lack of use. Thank you to everyone who tried the service."

Live show this Friday, right?

Do you happen to have a Podfest Expo SVG logo?
