CME’s happen all the time (I have an RSS feed) the reason they rarely hit Earth (ie Carrington Event of1859) is because of the vast distance and the absurd number of directions they can emit from The most recent “Carrington-Level” CME was in 2012

If your public key is already exposed, your coins would be vulnerable to this kind of breakthrough. If it remains hidden, this specific attack requires that key to become exposed.
