The most niche podcast I've seen this week; Cardboard manufacturers talking business

Ahum .. I sent 29000 sats the other day to [email protected] .. did it get through?

Test shot from Apple?

nuke everything gigadial.net -- it's dead.

Listening to PC20 episode 270 .. yup, I'm curating feeds by the hundreds, me and a Tampermonkey script

I just found a shout-out from @findthatpod on https://findthatpod.beehiiv.com/p/find-that-pod-341 .. :)

#findthatpod #podcasts #opml

are the urls from killed feeds (spam, ai slop and hijacked) blocked in any way from reentry?

I think I've seen attempts at reentry of hijacked material (Sol Good, spreaker, Librivox wrapped in pre-rolls)

-- there is maybe something here .. "get booked on this podcast" ..

https://socialdb.xyz/podcast/radioland-with-james-cridland-radio-futurologist

"Sol Good Network" appears to be behind most of the hijacking of Librivox content, they are wrapping each episode in pre-rolls and making money off Librivox work ..

maybe something to look into?

Weird podcast find;

7934638

I b0rked the dashboard search :(

Observed a new type of spam, Amazon/Audible snippets, 1 enclosure, description from paper/audio book + affiliate link, but also a 100% split Value block to spammer.

Feeds on RSS.com, Anchor.fm

Tricky.

is your LLM going to digest the problematic feeds and spit out reasoning about them?

Would be cool to read.

another nice-to-have, for the backlog, free text search over feed url as well, nice if there is patterns :)

the alert needs to go, when flagging spam/slop and so on .. it is kinda annoying.

I was bored, killed off heaps of AI Slop

Curated podcast feeds, just ingest some of the folders where I have collected recommendations from FindThatPod and/or Earbuds.

https://b19.se/data/opml/

Most feeds reference itunes:email as [email protected] .. William Corbin.

Maybe "stolen" .. but may indicate who creates all this slop.

Hey!? Looking for #podcast collections as #opml? Got plenty here from mixed sources, as well as curated sources.

Hey

.. are the collections downloadable as OPML on theend.fyi somewhere? ..

I was thinking about adding those to my collection under https://b19.se/data/opml/

Rest in peace.

(I just stumbled upon this today, while working on DSC podcast restoration.)

While Europe watches Eurovision Song Contest, I'm transcribing DSC episodes and hunting RSS fragments, sorting and sifting.

Most of 2004 and 2005 done, onto 2006.

Found a few broken episodes, trying to find them through digital arkeology.

DSC Renovation: Most SRTs of 2004 rendered.

Might be hard to proofread as audio is not yet available.

any particular reason I got the newsletter 4 times? Some 46 minutes ago.

Pointed colleagues towards PI and everything, explained some stuff and pointed out PC20 podcast as the most experimental and feature-rich podcast out there .. "running with scissors". so, there will be a few more podcasts added in the near future using the podcast-namespace :)

heard the latest podcast episode and thought the DHT/Kademlia discussion were very much on point and reasonable. Let me know if you need test nodes set up, got room for a few VMs in my Proxmox on 500/500 Mbit/s connection.
