i remember hearing that God lets evil exist because defeating it gives Him glory, but i'm not sure that's right, considering letting evil live has lead to all this fucking bullshit so far

perhaps it's men who let evil exist, so they can feel glorious in defeating it, but they do not know their limits and what they can handle, which then leads to evil slowly but surely festering in the shadows until it's too overwhelming to be defeated

perhaps God does get glory from the defeat of evil, but even then, humans play with it too much for any glory to truly last
