Anyone else getting loads of life insurance ads on Reddit or does it know something I don’t?

Test quote post from Ivory

After working a whole lot with an AppKit app again (Pastebot) sure is not fun to debug Mac Catalyst stuff. Layer upon layer of AppKit, UIKitMac, and UIKit stuff. Got irritated and just created a test app to send to Apple so hopefully they’ll check it out and maybe fix it.

Did a search for Ivory on the iOS App Store. Surrounded by Canadian Tire and Wendys ads. Yay App Store.

Why did I search for Ivory for Mac on iOS? Because I haven’t woken up yet this morning.

If only I had that much going on in my life that I could take advantage of displaying triple live activities on my phone.

I know there are all kinds of notes apps on Mac but for something that was just released it seems really, really sophisticated. There’s a large tutorial you can go through to see what kinds of things it is capable of. Check it out.

Asking new Siri when my dog was spayed. The calendar entry it included was from January 2024 even though it answered January 2014. Just one of many poor answers I’ve gotten so far.

Trying to coax my dog into a #bleptember photo. Best I could get.

Just saw some ads while surfing news this morning on my home wifi. This was the reason. #pihole

Do others make use of Mastodon’s bookmarks? I only seem to remember to look at my list if I have it open in a column I can see all the time.

Anyone using watchOS 27 beta? Does it fix a whole bunch of workout related bugs like not noticing you have started a workout, not offering to start 10 mins ago when you actually started a workout, not pausing when you stop (works great for biking, doesn't work for walking or hiking)?

This little robot looks like it could be lots of fun.

Not a bad week of solar generation (10.23kW system in Calgary). It isn't nearly as good as most of July was but pretty decent compared to early August.

The compressor in my maybe 6 year old LG fridge died. The crappy fridge in our basement still chugs along and who knows how old it is. It came with the house 13 years ago and already looked like it had lived a long life.

During the development of Pastebot 3

made

and I a 3D printed app icon. It is about the size of a coaster and has lots of subtle texture.

FireWire 400 -> 800 -> thunderbolt -> usb-c -> laptop running sequoia. Got a sad iPod error though.

Black iPod is currently charging and can even browse files on it in Mac 26.5 Finder. The left one is Firewire so will have to see if can find the correct string of cables that'll allow me to connect to it.

How do I let Reddit know I’ve bought a new bed?

Such high quality software that hasn't had a paid update for SO many years. Check it out if you'd like a solid backup plan for your Mac.
