Circumstances beyond our control can take away opportunities we work hard to protect; and for Veronica, after losing her job, that opportunity is her 8-year-old son's education.
She needs help with keeping him in school while she works towards finding a new job and getting back on her feet. If you're able to help her navigate this difficult period, consider donating and sharing her story with others.
Her child's future doesn't have to be delayed or interrupted while she finds her footing.

Sometimes life changes in an instant, especially when tragedy strikes. That’s what happened to Saeed when a missile destroyed his home in Iran. Fortunately, he wasn’t there when it happened, but he was left with the difficult task of starting over.
Rebuilding after a loss like this is not easy, especially without help. Saeed is trying to find a place to call home again, and a little help can go a long way towards making that possible.
If you’re able to help, consider supporting Saeed and also to share his story.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you realise that, no matter how hard you try, you simply can't make everything work?
You lose your income, but the bills keep piling up and the responsibilities don't disappear. Life keeps moving. That's where Veronica finds herself right now.
She's a single mother who recently lost her job in a country where unemployment is high, and she's doing everything she can to find work and get back on her feet. In the meantime, she still has to keep food on the table and, most importantly, make sure her 8-year-old son can stay in school.
She needs help covering his school fees for the term while she works to rebuild her income. I think most of us can understand what it feels like to need a little help getting through a difficult period.
If you're in a position to help Veronica, you can find her campaign below, and if you're unable to pitch in financially, sharing her story could help her get one step closer to the help she needs.🙏🏻

We've seen Milad's and Irandokht's campaigns successfully funded, and it's been incredible to see what happens when people come together to help someone they've never met.
Now we'd like to give Veronica's campaign another little push. Veronica has already received $197 towards her $1,800 goal, which means she still needs $1,603 to reach what she needs.
Her original post is below, and we won't repeat her story here. What matters is that she's a mother trying to get through a difficult period after losing her job, while making sure her son can continue his education.
She's doing everything she can on her side. Let's see if we can help her get the rest of the way there.
If you can contribute, every amount helps and if you can't, sharing her campaign could help it reach someone who can.
We've seen twice now that these stories don't have to end with a plea. They can end with people simply deciding to help. Let's make Veronica's one of them.

Another Mannaah story has reached a beautiful ending. 🫶
Irandokht's campaign has been successfully funded!! 😁
What started as a difficult financial situation trying to keep her work going, meet her family's basic needs and deal with a debt that had become increasingly difficult to manage, has now reached a very different place.
For Irandokht, this wasn't simply about reaching a fundraising target. It was about getting some breathing room when there wasn't much left.
To everyone who contributed, shared her story, or simply stopped to read it, thank you very much!! 🙏🏻🧡😇
You may never fully know what your generosity means to someone on the other side of the world, but sometimes, a little kindness arrives at exactly the right time.

Saeed lost his home in Tehran during the current conflict between Iran and the US.
His home was completely destroyed, along with his furniture, belongings and even family heirlooms that held deep sentimental value. Although he still has his job in Tehran, with nowhere to live, he now stays outside the city and spends a total of 7 hours every day commuting to and from work.
He isn't asking to replace everything he lost. He's asking for $5,000 to secure the deposit on a modest place to live. All Saeed needs is a little help to take the first step toward rebuilding his life, and you can help him get there.

#Bitcoin was built on a simple idea, which is that two people should be able to transact directly without the approval of a third party.
That's much bigger than a payment system, but it's real financial freedom that enables you to transact with anyone, permissionlessly.
Ironically, some of the greatest human needs in our world exist where the permissioned financial system cannot reach. So what's the point of having an open monetary network if it can't be used to help people simply because they were born in the “wrong country”?
Money is a tool that should serve people, not stand between them.
"Authoritarianism poses different challenges. In Russia, China, Nicaragua, Belarus, Iran and elsewhere, the bank accounts of human-rights defenders and civil-society groups are routinely frozen for “suspicious” activity. Donations from foreign organizations are typically illegal, leaving these groups struggling to use the existing banking system to keep their operations going."
Something most people living in the "developed world" take for granted. Real humanitarian work can't be done with permissioned money.

We are incredibly pleased to announce that Milad's appeal for help with his surgery has been successfully funded! 🫶
Money can put a number on a campaign, but it can't quantify what this means for Milad. After everything he has been through, he now has a genuine chance to get the treatment he desperately needs and begin rebuilding his life.
A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in to help make this possible. Milad's surgery will be scheduled soon, and we'll continue to share updates as he begins his healing journey.
For now, there is only one thing left to say, Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts 🙏🏻🧡

What's the point of having unstoppable money if payment processors, sanctions and banks can still stop it from reaching the people who need it?
Thanks to the generosity of donors who had #Bitcoin, Milad received help in Iran, where sanctions have made it incredibly difficult for people outside the country to send money to those who need it.
#Bitcoin was simply the bridge that allowed one person's generosity and compassion to reach another person who needed help.

Here’s an update on Veronica.
Since then, someone quietly stepped forward with a $100 offline donation. It touched Veronica deeply because this wasn't just a glimmer of hope but an important reminder that she isn’t alone.
Her campaign still needs $1,700 to reach its $1,800 goal, but she is now one step closer.
Not every problem can be solved with a single donation but sometimes, when someone is facing a difficult moment, simply knowing that someone cares can give them the strength to keep going.
Every act of kindness can make someone’s burden a little lighter. That little bit of help is exactly what someone needs to keep moving forward.

An update from Milad:
Thank you very much to the donor who stepped up and donated. I am eternally grateful as you have no idea how much your help means to me. Just wanted to give a quick update on my condition.
I went to Tehran yesterday for a check up regarding my neck and saw the surgeon. He told me that I need surgery as soon as possible. My neck is already badly damaged, and waiting much longer could be fatal. A sudden movement or even a small accident could cause another vertebra to fracture and leave me unable to breathe.
I don't have the money right now, so the doctor reluctantly agreed to schedule my surgery for one month from now. He made it very clear that waiting this long is dangerous.
I have also been told about a charitable hospital in Mashhad that may be able to perform the surgery for less. It is around 1,500 km from Tehran, and travelling there by car is extremely difficult and risky in my condition, but I have no other choice.
I will try the hospital in Mashhad and share another update as soon as I know more.
For now, I am urgently asking for help to get this surgery done as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and shared my story. 🙏

One of the most unexpected things that has happened on this short journey we've been on is how quickly strangers can stop feeling like strangers, and start feeling a little more like family.
You read someone's story, and suddenly the distance between you disappears.
First there was Milad, a 27-year-old former tailor in Iran. He was working and living an ordinary life until a severe autoimmune illness and years of complications have left him largely confined to his bed. Now he is facing an urgent problem with his neck and needs surgery he cannot afford.
Then there was Irandokht, also from Iran, trying to keep her family's life together after an investment in their work failed to provide the return they needed, thanks to hyperinflation and war; two things beyond her control.
Finally there was Veronica, a single mother who recently lost her job. She's looking for work and trying to rebuild some stability. In the meantime, her eight-year-old son still needs his school fees paid, and that doesn't wait for stability to return.
Three very different stories but when you sit with them for a while, the same question keeps coming back; What happens when someone wants to help, but the system makes it difficult for that help to get there?
in each of these stories, there are people somewhere in the world who see what is happening and simply think, "I want to help". Perhaps that's what Bitcoin can give us, a way for that compassion to travel. Not because the money itself is the most important thing. It isn't.
The most important part is the heart behind the gift and the hope it brings, that moment when one person decides that someone else's struggle matters enough to do something about it.
#Bitcoin can simply provide the rails for that generosity to move, even when borders, banks, sanctions or other financial restrictions might otherwise stand in the way. That's what we've started calling Bitcoin-powered compassion. This is the bridge we are trying to build with Mannaah.
🫶 Help doesn't ask where you're from.
Imagine a person with enough money to help a stranger, and a stranger who desperately needs it, yet the two are unable to transact because they happen to live on opposite sides of a political boundary. Billions of dollars can theoretically exist for humanitarian purposes, yet the money still has to cross correspondent banks, compliance departments, jurisdictions and payment systems before it becomes useful to the person who needs it.
Consider Afghanistan after 2021. The country's banking system became effectively isolated from the international financial system. The World Bank documented circumstances in which humanitarian organisations were forced to use informal channels and even physical shipments of US dollars because formal financial infrastructure could not reliably deliver money to people on the ground. The tragedy here is not merely that banking becomes inconvenient, but that compassion becomes dependent upon the machinery of politics.
Receiving or giving help shouldn't be conditional to the political system you live under.

Bitcoin has proven that value can be moved permissionlessly from person to person. It doesn't solve every problem on earth but it does guarantee that no censor can stop your payments, especially in moments when you need help. This is why #Bitcoin is more than just an investment but it's technology that allows one person to reach another.
Veronica is a single mother who recently lost her job and is currently unemployed.
While she looks for new work and tries to get back on her feet, one immediate responsibility remains, which is making sure her 8-year-old son can continue going to school.
She needs $1,800 to settle his outstanding school fees.
For Veronica this isn't about looking for an easy way out. She's trying to bridge the gap between losing her income and finding her next opportunity, without her son having to bear the consequences.
If you're able to help, even a small contribution could make a meaningful difference.

Irandokht lives in Iran with her family, and right now they are fighting to keep their finances and livelihood afloat.
The debt they're facing began as a bank loan invested into their business. The business didn't fail, but the difficult economic conditions meant the investment ultimately produced little meaningful return, while the loan still had to be repaid.
They are now operating in survival mode, trying to keep their work going while covering basic necessities like food.
The deadline is September 9th 2026.
If the debt cannot be resolved, their car, which is part of the loan's collateral, could potentially be repossessed.
Irandokht has already received her first $50 donation and she now needs $639 to meet the immediate obligation.
Because of the restrictions surrounding Iran, receiving international financial support isn't as simple as receiving a bank transfer. She has had to rely on trusted people and intermediaries to receive support on her behalf.
If you're able to help, or simply share her story, you can find the full details here:

Meet Milad
Milad is 27 years old and lives in Iran. A few years ago, he was working as a tailor and living an ordinary life.
Today, he has spent years confined to his bed after a severe autoimmune condition, complications from treatment, osteoporosis and multiple serious injuries left him unable to walk or even sit in a wheelchair.
His most urgent problem is a fractured neck. According to the medical information he has shared, doctors have told him he needs urgent surgery to prevent further spinal damage and potentially life-threatening complications.
The surgery, hospital care and rehabilitation are expected to cost approximately $3,500
Milad receives around $18 a month in local assistance and says that international financial restrictions have left him unable to access conventional banking or international aid.
If you're able to help, or simply help share his story, you can find his full story and campaign here:
No guilt, no pressure. Just people helping people.

Hello Nostriches and welcome to Mannaah. Welcome to our little corner of cyberspace.
Mannaah begins with a simple belief, that when one person needs help and another is willing to give it, nothing should stand between them.
There's something deeply human about wanting to help a stranger in need, whether it's a mother who needs medicine, a family who has lost their home, someone trying to rebuild after disaster. That instinct is universal but the systems around us aren't. Borders, sanctions, the political mood of the day are some of the barriers. Somewhere in the world right now, someone is cut off not just from money, but from a lifeline.
It shouldn't be this way. Love and compassion are borderless; and they don't check passports.
So we're building something that doesn't either, a place where help can move as freely as the will to give it, person to person, with nothing standing in between.
We're just getting started. If you believe people should be able to help people, no matter where they are or which systems they've been shut out of, welcome. You're in the right place.
Help doesn't ask where you're from 🫶🏻
