A couple years ago I had the chance to go to #Burgundy. I tasted one of the most incredible wines I’ve ever had @domainemikulski On my return I was wanting to find similar wines to Mikulski since it is hard to find in the US. This proved challenging since not everyone has the wine knowledge like your favorite sommelier. And when your favorite sommelier friend doesn’t want to be bothered 24/7. So I created https://apps.apple.com/us/app/monsieur-meursault/id6755438742
Yes, there is nothing romantic about AI but I think what I created does a pretty darn good job of learning your preferences and providing recommendations based off of those. BUT it can also do a lot more than that:
🍷 Are you a Cellar Tracker user? You can upload your cellar to this app for better recommendations and info. 🍷 Create tastings to learn about different wines and regions 🍷Take photos/upload a wine label or wine menu for personalized recommendations. 🍷Find Similar and Will I Like This? functions for every wine. 🍷Find food pairings for every wine in your Tasting History and Cellar. 🍷… and more than just recommendations, you can ask your Somm questions like “I am having friends over tonight who like white wine and are vegetarian, what in my cellar is drinking well now that I could serve?”
While there are a few UI/UX elements that need to be touched up, it is available in the App Store. If you are interested in trying the app for free, please DM me. I would welcome your feedback!
Where did the name come from? It came from my favorite wine region, my favorite 🇫🇷 philosopher, and a nod to a local importer @thepiedmontguy #winestr #wine

Throughout my life I have envied those who seem to maintain a more sensible emotional equilibrium. Never too excited, never too angry. Never too sad nor overly exuberant.
I have felt, at times, burdened by riding the sine wave of life – never quite able to ignore it let alone fail to experience it. While I appreciate the Stoic perspective, I have learned over the years to appreciate life's muck and mire. In order to appreciate it you must truly experience it and not feign disinterest or emotional detachment in the name of perseverance.
And then you learn about Bitcoin. And you once again understand that fearing volatility does not make you more adept. Like the flexible wing of a plane in turbulent air, you learn that being fixed and rigid inevitably fractures with strain. You learn that it is the air that is constant and we merely oscillate around it. The Bitcoin protocol is constant, but our unit of measurement is what changes.
The fight against volatility can be seen in other aspects of life. You begin to recognize that identity when fixed is a wing that cannot fly. It cannot adapt under strain, further locking itself to a fragile structure. Privacy and freedom as a core to one' s identity becomes subjectively applied depending on the political currents, remaining fixed only to anchors of righteousness.
Bitcoin illuminates our volatility around a fixed point and our struggle to hold onto it as if that point is the only thing true and real in this world. Having the courage to let go is the freedom you're after.

If there is any time to use the Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man gif it’s now. Where is the outrage? How can there be when those in power were complicit?
We can’t hold that kind of system accountable. The only option is to build outside of it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for what app or service would be best for use in Mexico for sending/receiving bitcoin?
I agree with this and a similar X post from
It is the most likely explanation plaguing both sides. The fight and vitriol is not about Freedom or Equality, it’s about being right and self-preservation of identity.
Within the past 2 weeks this has been so clearly exemplified Privacy and 2nd amendment now make sense to liberals Conservatives all to quick to turn their back on an avid 2nd amendment proponent
Ask yourself what it is you are truly defending (answer: an increasingly centralized and powerful D.C. who is not acting in your best interest but is very good at convincing you otherwise)
Are you defending who you believe you are or what you’ve been told you should be?

Where are the Rage Against the Machine Bitcoiners? Does government overreach end at the Fed and nothing else matters?
The “what radicalized you?” meme - buying and hodling btc isn’t radicalization - that’s Wall Street.
I’ve seen grandmas willing to risk their necks more than a lot of us on this app
I would like to see “opting out” take the form of refusing to participate in Government Inc. They will not respond to votes, they will not respond to protests, pleas, or reason. But what they will respond to is a Unified refusal to participate in the corporate-government complex.
A week of refusing to buy on Amazon, refusing to engage in centralized social media, refusal to turn on MSNBC or Fox, a refusal to shop at Target and Walmart. A refusal to take commercial flights.
A refusal to participate in the power that actually calls the shots in D.C.
Will this be hard for individuals? Yes, but marching in the streets is easy. A bit of sacrifice on our part is better than a bullet to the head. nostr:

It’s not going to come from appealing to reason It’s not going to come from appealing to emotion It’s not going to come from voting or the “right” politician Change will only come from influencing the money and refusing to participate in Government Inc

I have grown tired of posts, of substacks and podcasts. It all feels so disconnected from lived experience. I am fortunate to work in an industry where I see the spectrum of life. This has benefited me by tempering my judgment of others. I know longer want to pontificate about politics, this or that ideology or ‘ism. I’m just trying to be a good person to others these days.

“Why was Saylor so defensive?!” asks the Bitcoiner who has spent the last 10 years in hostile defense of Bitcoin.
1/12/2026, 1 engagement
Over the years in bitcoin I’ve seen a lot of rebuttals and alternatives proposed to bitcoin; some philosophical some sociopolitical. Many of these are well articulated, others verge on a utopian ideal.
But these theses, having been nailed to the door, whither away in the rain of the timeline feed instead of igniting a movement they were hoping to sow.
Their messages do not inspire, they do not compel, they do not make me willing to sacrifice for their them.
Their anger is thin, inauthentic and fails to inspire, or their utopia is theirs, and not mine.
Words, I feel these days, are mere ornaments for us to decorate our morality. This post, in fact, is exemplary of this sentiment.
However, I remain encouraged, motivated and inspired by that something new, something whose promises are laid bare but whose outcomes are up to us. So, of course, I remind you of what we signed up for - the understanding that sentiment should not be dictated by price. You are the node, the miner, the holdr, YOU are the sentiment, so let it be dictated by your support of the network and its users not price action.
This is supposed to be hard. Words and posts are easy. Courage is hard, seeking to inspire is hard, leading with kindness rather than vitriol is hard. But I have never met a group of people that I’d rather sacrifice my time, safety, and comfort for than Bitcoiners. 2026 - WE CAN change the sentiment 🧡

A few thoughts on RFK: I don't think the medical community at large understands how upset and disappointed people are with the current medical system: paternalism for the past 60 years, poor outcomes relative to expense, increasing chronic disease burden, and bureaucracy. I believe the medical community (physicians) deserve a portion of the blame for this.
I am not surprised by the response to our medical system. It is not a new sentiment. During the 1960s and 1970s medicine’s public image took a beating. The infamous Ivan Illych penned a critique entitled “Medical Nemesis,” in which he stated, “Doctors contribute little to the health of populations, they probably did more harm than good.'' Berkeley political scientist, Aaron Wildavsky, made the claim in 1977 that “The marginal value of one–or one billion–dollars spent on medical care will be close to zero in improving health.” I share his sentiment, considering despite our efforts currently only 12% of Americans are without evidence for metabolic syndrome, which is characterized by high blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol levels. The conclusions of these critics of the health care system are not surprising since it was the height of medical paternalism at a time when society was questioning our institutions while in the midst of Watergate and the Vietnam War.
Iraq, Afghanistan, GFC, Covid and we now find ourselves in a similar position, where Americans are not convinced of "first do no harm," and are seeking autonomy of choice above all else. However, in the prioritization of individual freedoms, the United States has socialized the responsibility for complications of those poor choices. If we are honest with ourselves, we have all succumbed to selectively ignoring the externalities of our poor choices. The only way to gain true freedom; to not be subject to or affected by (a particular undesirable thing), is to not have to rely on a third party in the first place. If freedom means a lack of outside influence on your autonomy, then by default there is an increase in personal responsibility for your choices. It is your freedom to eat whatever you want, to choose not to be active, but if these choices result in increased doctor visits, hospitalizations, more debt and symptoms that restrict your enjoyment in life, how truly free are you? Individual rights should not be inversely related to individual responsibility.
In 1977, Dr John H Knowles, wrote “...This [sic: poor lifestyle choices] is justified as individual freedom–but one man's freedom in health is another man's shackles in taxes and insurance premiums. I believe the idea of a "right" to health should be replaced by the idea of an individual moral obligation to preserve one's own health–a public duty if you will.” Additionally, “the choice is individual responsibility or social failure [sic: plus individual failure]. Responsibility and duty must gain some degree of parity with right and freedom.”
RFKs biggest hurdle is not Big Pharma, it is behavior change and individual autonomy, and that hurdle is only overcome with empathy and understanding and NOT solely Dr. Science. Afterall, information alone does not change behavior. From the individual's perspective, a career contrarian is not a logical solution to the preservation of one's health – and as Dr Knowles so clearly elucidated, therein lies the rub – you as an individual have to live with your choices whose outcomes may not be known for years. But it is these choices that should be discussed with an empathetic ear and ultimately respected.

I’m surprised by the number of people (ahem Bitcoiners) duped into the “ancestral diet” logic.
Which ancestors? What location? What time period?
When ultimately we care about diet and its health outcomes why does it matter what our ancestors ate? tldr: lots of stuff including plants and bugs and grains and animals when available…don’t forget the “gathering” part).
