I'm finding this whole Mastodon redesign strange. The redesign itself is very strange. But also I'm on the community feedback board and seriously like 95% of people are saying "I hate it" and the rest are saying "I like it OK, but here's a long list of things I don't like". I've seen one fully positive comment. And it had no details, just "I love it".

I don't understand the new left home panel on the advanced interface, at all. These are not things I need to see all the time, and the the placement and order is weird.

And having to hit "new post" and get a pop up window on the complete opposite side of the screen that can't be moved is really weird.

So here's a thing some developers don't think about; I don't display the names of apps on my phone, just the icon. Occasionally with a new app, usually FOSS, I forget the name and I can't find it anywhere. Not when I open the app, or even dig through the menus and look for an "about".

I literally had to turn on the labels again to find out the name of this app.
