Sometimes the signs of inflation fall out of the sky! Newspaper acting as insulation in the ceiling cavity of this 1930s home we’re remodeling tells the story. A Cadillac Roadster- $395. Average cost to feed a family for a month~$25 🤯.

Beautiful trip.

Turns out it was a Coldcard meme, who would’ve guessed?

What if he “hacked” himself? Just leave the back door entirely open for…yourself!

There’s a late July white tail in velvet!

Builders were not messing around 100 years ago.

Wrapping this beauty up! Cedar shingles are fun. My choice when budget allows.

Do not use your energy to worry. Use your energy to believe, to create, to learn, to think and to grow. -Mr. Feynman

There’s a bitcoin meme in here somewhere.

“No one worth calling a man allows his moods to change his convictions; but it is by moods that we understand other men’s convictions.” Chesterton just Chesteroning.

A fresh jar of hodl butter kinda GM!

always delivering. The best.

Met a guy with the last name Satzinger today. He doesn’t know how cool that’s going to be. Or that there’s an entire community here waiting for him.

Pretty fun little project. Hiding the water heater while adding a bookshelf and not losing any storage.

Proud Dad. Woke up to find my 15 month old crafting this message on the kitchen tower I built for him. Together we’ll convince mom buddy!

A Pancho and Lefty and dance around the kitchen with the kiddo kind of GM!

Permissionless living is living.

Witnessing the juxtaposition of friends loving the oxygen that breathes life into a system they hate continues to baffle me. But of course, Bitcoin is bad for the environment, let’s just vote harder.

This end table for a friend turned out quite nice. Requesting Bitcoin payment has been a whole thing though. #bitcoinismoney pay me in it!

this is a fun book to add to the collection if you’re a Chesterton fan.

Lukas Nelson. He’s damn good.

The efficiency at which my one year old unfolds the clothes I’ve just folded is admirable.

“One thing I do know, though: most of us who’ve had a taste of loving families, even a little taste, want our kids to be a part of one. One other thing I know is that eventually you have to come to be a part of a place- part of its hills and streets and waters and people- or you will live a very, very sorry life as an exile forever. Discovering meaning for yourself as well as discovering satisfying purpose for yourself, is a big part of what education is. How this can be done by locking children away from the world is beyond me.”

“The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose, and it will defend itself.”

Wood heat is the best. Especially from the old Orely stove.

So. Much. Water.

great convo gents! To the constipated man diarrhea is progress.

Things aren’t always what they seem. A foul smell coming from behind the toilet isn’t always a sewer gas leak. After a little investigating, opened this wall up and WOOF. Thought it was a raccoon at first. Dead rats stink man.

It’s beautiful out there. Go find it.

curious what’s the shelf life of this stuff? We won’t see the sun for another 7 months up here in the PNW.

Progress.

expected the HODL butter to be legit but this is different. So good and something to be proud of for sure. The final step in getting my wife to admit bitcoin IS money!

The sun shines on a dog’s ass some days. #photostr

Oh how beautiful it is! If any of you psychos are in the Livingston MT area, not only can Scheffer Built snap a rad photo, but the man can build about anything you want. Truly just building shit.

The start of a little tree platform because remember we can just build shit.

Remember: We can just build shit. And as Biggie says, spread love it’s the Bitcoin way.

Bitcoin Birding. Zaps will fly to accurate guesses. #birds #bitcoinbirding #mondayisforthebirds #nature #backyardbirding

thanks for the follow. Now when my wife asks why I’m taking all these bird photos I can say it’s for my followers, one of whom is a cat. Don’t miss Bitcoin Birding Mondays. Seems like something right up your alley.

We quite literally live in a tulip bubble.

Bitcoin Birding. Sticking with the yellow variety. Hint: Peter Schiff loves this bird. Zaps will fly to accurate guesses.

I used to do a Photo Contest with a bunch of friends (none of whom are on Nostr yet). I’d email a theme and they’d all respond with a photo and I’d put a little poll together to vote on the winner. Super fun but a bit clunky. Brining the idea to Nostr. Photo Contest Friday. Who’s in? Thinking something like this: post your photo in the comments. Zap your favorite or favorites. Most zapped photo by next Friday will get more zaps. No theme yet but maybe we’ll get crazy and build to that.

it is a beautiful day to be alive and zaps can certainly flow via photos.

are there more perfect shots?

flowers and street scapes for the win!

Share the beauty. Share the creativity. Share the zaps.

Say you have a little money sitting in an IRA from a past job and were trying to decide what to do with it. Roll it over into another clunky vessel and stuff it into main street’s Bitcoin? Take the significant tax hit and stack the sats? I find it more and more difficult to keep anything in tradfi but man that tax hit blows.

We’ve been spending a lot of time in our backyard lately just hanging with the new kiddo. And man the birds have been awesome this year! Amazing what you see when you slow down and look. Going to start a little Bitcoin Birding Mondays. I’ll post a backyard bird photo and zap the correct identification. Because apparently you can just do that? Name that bird:

Moody moody.

“The perfect happiness of men on the earth (if it ever comes) will not be a flat and solid thing, like the satisfaction of animals. It will be an exact and perilous balance; like that of a desperate romance. Man must have just enough faith in himself to have adventures, and just enough doubt of himself to enjoy them.” -GK

“The best work is the work you’re excited about.”

“Greatness begets greatness.”

AI amplifies Brandolini’s Law.

“You can only find truth with logic if you have already found truth without it.”

“We do not need to get good laws to restrain bad people. We need to get good people to restrain bad laws.”

It is rather prescient to be old school.

You ski and avalanches are real. You don’t choose to ignore the reality of avalanches, even though they’re terrifying and instill fear. If you do, you’re probably dead. Rather, you educate yourself on everything avalanche while praying to god you never encounter one. Ignorance isn’t strength. This isn’t about skiing.
