Privacy is freedom. The UK festival for privacy, digital rights, civil liberties & freedom tech. Manchester · Sat 21 Nov 2026.
What digital-freedom question do you think ordinary people are not asking yet — but probably should be?
Privacy? Identity? Speech? Access? Financial freedom? Surveillance? Something else entirely?
Interested in the questions that are still below the surface.

Which matters more when new technology is introduced:
What it can do today?
Or what it could enable once the infrastructure exists?
Not a rhetorical question. There’s a real tension between judging present use and future capability.
Freedom Fest 2026 is live. 🔓
Privacy is freedom.
Digital ID. Financial surveillance. CBDCs. Facial recognition. Censorship. Encryption. Free speech. Open technology.
The public conversation around these things may feel new. The fight for digital freedom isn't.
On Saturday, 21 November, we're bringing privacy advocates, civil-liberties campaigners, builders, technologists and curious people together at the Pendulum Hotel in Manchester for a full day of talks, panels, workshops and Freedom Tech.
Freedom Fest is a standalone event taking place alongside
UK. A distinct programme, distinct identity, one shared conversation about how technology can expand human freedom rather than restrict it.
