We blame butter for what bread did.

We blame salt for what sugar did.

We blame red meat for what seed oil did.

We blame the couch for what everything in moderation did.

This is why most people will live their entire life, confused about what it takes to be healthy.

Imagine eggs poached in cream and Gruyère with an assist from bacon and you have imagined Oeufs Cocotte (Baked Eggs).

I overcooked the yolks a little and it was still amazing. I did have to buy these cute little clay pots for $21 each so it's a good thing I liked the dish.

Cousin: I was up all night with reflux. I'm going to Urgent Care to see if they will give me something for it.

Me: What did you eat yesterday?

C: Pasta salad and pizza.

Me: Maybe you should go see a butcher instead of a doctor? I know he'll give you something for it.

Do better @Hellmanns. The third and fourth ingredients listed on this "Olive Oil Mayo" are canola and soybean. Way to half-ass it.

Costco, Whole Foods and Sprouts now sporting Seed Oil Safe badges, thanks to Seed Oil Scout.

Need quick and inexpensive carnivore meal ideas? I call this a Bird’s Nest.

Cook seasoned ground beef on fairly high heat to let it get a little crispy, crack a few eggs and cover for 60-90 seconds, add cheese or even bacon.

Takes 10 minutes and costs less than $10.

You don’t have to eat less to eat better. You have to eat better to eat less.

This is a Picanha roast.

Let’s be honest.

The experts weren’t wrong about eggs for all these years.

They lied.

People on meatcentric diets don't get scurvy because they don't need as much vitamin C as people on Western diets because glucose and Vitamin C compete for uptake in our cells! Look how similar they are!

Also, vitamin C is in beef but it's not listed in the USDA database because they never tasted for it. 🤦‍♂️

On September 13, 2018, I began my ketogenic journey. I was at the end of my metabolic rope and keto was my last ditch effort to save myself from a poor diet, poor health and from myself. I honestly didn't care if I lived past the age of 50 because every day was full of depression, inflammation and exhaustion and I was tired of all of it.

Here I am 6.5 years and nearly 1200 steaks later, with over 1500 miles of running, a marathon, 15 half marathons, 3 years in the gym behind me, a completely different person that I can barely recognize in the mirror.

Life-changing just doesn't quite cover how big an impact that choice back in 2018 has meant to me. Soul-changing is more like it.

There is no destination on a meat-based diet. There is only the journey.

This illustrates the photochemical transformation of cholesterol to vitamin D when our skin is exposed to sunlight. The difference is extremely subtle.

The less cholesterol we have, the less vitamin D we can make.

Sunscreen and statins are literally vitamin D blockers. https://m.primal.net/NWPb.png

Got diabetes: take metformin Got high blood pressure: take an ace inhibitor Got depression: take an SSRI Got high cholesterol: take a statin Got obesity: take Ozempic Got inflammation: take Celebrex

Or just eat some damn steak.
