Banking and Stacking Bitcoin.

I use Strike, River, and Cash App to help me stack while living life.

River has caught up to Strike for most features, but all three have strengths.

On both River and Strike can have your paychecks or a percentage automatically converted to Bitcoin(no fees), DCA with no fees after the first week, and pay bills with your Bitcoin or USD. Both Strike and River have a free withdrawal to your hardware wallet too. (I went 100% Bitcoin for a year just for fun. Don't do this, keep a small amount of USD for bills to avoid any fees and taxes).

River is my current favorite because they pay 3.3% interest on your USD savings in Bitcoin or USD. You choose.

Cash App doesn't have the banking stuff but has some other features so I keep a small amount of Bitcoin on there so I can use it at places that accept Bitcoin or have a square terminal. Bitcoin is money, keep a small amount for spending. The more it's used the more it's adopted.

Plus Cash App just added Bitcoin rewards that pays a tiny amount of interest in Bitcoin on your Bitcoin. I put a small amount of my savings onto Cash App to buy STRC(a stock) as it pays 12% interest. It's Bitcoin backed and is sorta locked at $100, pays 12% dividends twice a month(soon to be daily), and isn't taxed. This is more risky but I'm ok with it.

Lastly I use a Gemini credit card but am looking into Fold and Robinhood credit cards. Gemini rewards pays 1-4% cash back on purchases in Bitcoin.

The Coldcard entropy "hack" is a reminder that other brands(eg.Trezor) multidevice entropy + passphrase may eventually fail to AI algorithms. Offline generated entropy + multisig is the new norm. Leave AI and computing power nothing to attack.

It's been a few months so here's a quick update for you all. After ten years of service at a Christian non profit dedicated to sharing the gospel with those in greatest need, I was recently part of a mass layoff. While the transition has been challenging I’m grateful for the opportunity I had to serve and know that God is directing my next steps.

I’m activly looking for new opportunities and would greatly appreciate your prayers as I apply for roles where I can continue using my skills and experience to serve both professionally and in ministry. Finances are getting tight but I’m trusting the Lord’s provision and timing.

I’m blessed to have the support of my wonderful wife and amazing family and friends during this season. I’ve even had a little extra time to enjoy my hobbies while I search which is a silver lining for sure.

I keep 0.01 Bitcoin in Wallet of Satoshi/Cashapp for spending.

Stack Bitcoin, put it in cold storage, but also use some. The white paper explains what Bitcoin is and it's peer to peer money.

If you're a Christian I would love your prayers. The Christian nonprofit I work for is doing a 10% layoff and I am in a department going to be affected. I've never made more money in my life, and yet I'm driving the struggle bus.

Before covid I was making $17 an hour, living in West Seattle, and while not rich was very comfortable in a two bedroom apartment and eating nice food like sushi and steaks weekly. Now I'm making significantly more per hour and can barely live.

Wallet of Satoshi is letting people get a free custom lightning address, and essentially all you have to do is send 100,000 SATs on the blockchain(which is funny because I want the lightning address). If you believe Bitcoin is the future and want a custom address I'd consider getting one and this is a decent option.
